--------------------------------

Night fell. Finally clearing all remaining stones and dirt, Aoha walked home clutching his small earnings, grinning foolishly.

A transmigrator, moreover, one with a golden finger, living like this was really something else.

Meeting transmigrator seniors, he'd probably need to bow 90 degrees: "Sorry, I've disgraced the transmigrator army!"

Actually, Aoha didn't want this either. But who told him to deal with a damn system constantly thinking about self-destructing? If he didn't want to constantly test death's boundaries with his life, he could only rely on himself.

He only prayed this damn system would cause fewer troubles before he trained life-preservation abilities to mastery. Then he'd burn incense in gratitude!

After returning home, he first checked his 'little mechanism' learned from who-knows-which films or TV shows, confirming nobody had entered his room during his absence. Only then did he relax, going to bathe and prepare for sleep.

Actually, he wasn't sure whether placing a strand of hair on the ground was ultimately useful. After all, in this world, those high-and-mighty ninja masters wanting to sneak in had many methods.

However, he wanted to guard against not those ninja masters but civilians who enjoyed petty theft.

After all, the civilian district here was far from the prosperous central streets. Residents were all sorts. Who knew whether anyone had targeted him during this time?

Seeking wealth was one thing, but if murdered too, he'd truly not know where to cry injustice.

So this counted as being cautious.

After bathing, he first hid today's small earnings in a special place, then looked at his hands full of scars, plus the right shoulder accidentally hit by falling rocks today, sighing.

Earning money wasn't easy!

Fortunately, his [Inferior Self-Healing Body] could function now. Otherwise, tomorrow he probably couldn't work.

"Sleep, sleep!"

After gulping down a large carton of milk, Aoha burped contentedly, then immediately entered dreamland.

After he fell asleep, a figure stood before the window, gazing inside by moonlight, eyes somewhat complex.

If Aoha opened his eyes now, he'd see Mikawa-jonin, missing for several days, standing there, not knowing what he was thinking.

Moreover, Aoha didn't know Mikawa-jonin these days hadn't been on missions but remained hidden in shadows, watching him, including surrounding people's cold mockery and teasing, plus his repeated rejections of job-hunting.

In fact, if not for his repeated hesitation before mentioning this situation to the Fourth Hokage.

This rock-clearing job still wouldn't fall to a 5-year-old brat.

For Hokage-sama, this was merely a matter of one sentence.

Mikawa-jonin did more than this. Daily, he'd arrive at Hokage Rock before Aoha, then preemptively shatter all larger fallen rocks, facilitating Aoha's upcoming clearing.

Otherwise, with Aoha's current meager strength, how could he competently handle such hard labour?

Aoha knew none of this. He still thought his luck was good, not only meeting kindhearted people but also never encountering the inability to move rocks or major danger.

Meanwhile, Mikawa-jonin also didn't know why he cared so much about a brat unrelated to him.

Originally, when the Third assigned him this task, he was so repulsed, even 'contradicting' the Third face-to-face, wanting to give up.

But now, he clearly didn't need to do these things. As long as Aoha didn't cause trouble like last time, they could each live their own lives.

"So I'm probably crazy."

Mikawa's figure instantly vanished. That sigh also scattered with the wind.

The next day, rising early, Aoha didn't immediately begin training but pocketed considerable money, preparing to go shopping extensively.

After all, he grew more able to eat daily. Plus, needing to consume stamina to accelerate wound healing daily, household provisions had bottomed out.

Fortunately, his former self still knew how to cook some home-style dishes. Otherwise, expenses in this area would double. This made him quite grateful.

But just as he brought money, opened the door preparing to leave, a person he found quite unexpected stood outside.

"Itachi? How'd you come? No, I mean, why'd you only come now? I waited for you for many days."

Standing outside looking around wasn't someone else but precisely Uchiha Itachi, whom Aoha classified as a future 'clinging-worthy thick thigh.'

Honestly, these days, Itachi not coming once even made Aoha misunderstand the other's words were merely polite.

Fortunately, fortunately. As expected, how could the famous Itachi-sama stand me up!

Seeing Aoha happily walk over and greet him, Itachi's originally cold poker face immediately couldn't maintain, also showing a smile and greeting: "Good morning, Aoha. I originally prepared to come find you the next day, but Father-sama assigned me many cultivation tasks. Only yesterday did I finally complete everything, thus delayed so long. I really apo..."

"Hey! I wondered! I nearly thought you didn't want to treat me, so you weren't coming to find me. Your timing's perfect. Today I'm preparing to go shopping extensively. Help me share the load later. No problem, right?"

Aoha directly interrupted Itachi's remaining words, somewhat familiarly hugging the other's shoulder and heading outward.

Itachi seemed somewhat unaccustomed to such overly intimate behaviour, struggling slightly. But afraid of hurting Aoha, more afraid of Aoha misunderstanding, he ultimately half-pushed, half-pulled, following Aoha.

Must say, Itachi was truly too precocious. Moreover, his thoughts were delicate and sensitive, caring too much about others' feelings while neglecting himself instead. Everything bottled inside, so young yet already crushed, breathless by excessively huge responsibility and pressure.

You could say Aoha's appearance gave him a channel to relax, no longer suppressing himself.

Even the current Itachi hadn't discovered this point.

Just after Aoha and Itachi left shoulder-to-shoulder, two Uchiha clan members instantly appeared.

"The clan leader said last time Itachi returned home, something seemed off. Looks like the source lies with this civilian youth."

"Mm, you continue following. I'll return to report to the clan leader."

"Hmph! How can dignified Uchiha people associate so closely with such mud-legs? In my opinion, just kill him directly. One and done. After all, just a civilian."

"Though that's true, now with the new Hokage assuming office, the clan leader and others are all plotting major actions. If this ruins matters, ten of you aren't enough to kill. So don't act rashly. Wait until I consult the clan leader."

The two exchanged glances, then immediately began separate actions.
