Chapter 5 - "The Setup For An Enforced Meetup"

In a few turn of events, a usual hospital turned into an echoing mental havoc. Unaware of the ongoing situation, they both were completely blank about how to react to this.

Blayne turned back only to see an unfamiliar face, it was [Dr Xander].

"Uhm...do you work here?" Blayne asked with a confused look.

"Not really, I am a patient aswell. I was just here to get my pills." Xander responded with a quirky smile.

"Get well soon lad, hope you get better." Blayne said, still with a puzzled look.

"I never meant to survive what I did." Xander said with a bit quirky look again.

"Alright man, don't be too consumed by the grief. Things will eventually get better someday." Blayne told him with a confident look.

"This isn't a story about guilt. It's about relief." Xander dropped a mysterious line again.

"Mind excusing me so that I can talk to the receptionist?" Blayne said with an off vibe this time. These words were now sounding as a "silent dark confession" to him.

"You are excused." Xander said with a slight whisper, his tone not sounding friendly. Eventually, he fixed his dark coat and hat and left the hospital, staring continously and closely at both Cleyn & Blayne.

"I encounter such weird freaks everyday" Blayne muttered to himself and approached the receptionist.

"Good afternoon sir, how can I help you?" The receptionist asked politely, eyes balls fixed on Cleyn.

"I would like to enquire about an ambulance which left this hospital at 01:35 pm sharp, after a phone call was conducted for taking a dead body" Blayne said confidently.

"Give me a few minutes, I will look into the register shortly." The receptionist said this, looking at Cleyn simultaneously.

Eventually, on the other part Sasha has left the hospital aswell with tear eyes, leaving the whole hospital in complete shock. Cleyn started to walk with his head lowered. He felt like a soldier who had lost all his basic purpose to exist and execute. He neared Blayne.

"Any update Blayne?" Cleyn said, with the lowest whisper Blayne could hear. He felt like that came from a person who was dead inside.

"Uhm....buddy! The search is on.We will get the information in a short span." Blayne patted him on the back and pressed his shoulder tightly as a friendly gesture.

"I feel like this....agony won't let me find an answer to all these." Cleyn said in a disappoined tone.

"Don't lose hope, we will get to the bottom of this and all the perpetraitors whether outsiders or fifth columnists would be wiped off." Blayne said with a comforting way, patting Cleyn even more.

"I hope it does, I hope so" Cleyn said, with a sigh.

"It will. Trust me lad." Blayne responded with a comforting smile.

The conversation was interrupted by the receptionist who cleared her throat as a sign. She said slightly, "I am sorry sir, there was no ambulance called at the time u reported for any kind of emergency. I have checked both the phone records and the register. You must be mistaken."

"I am sure, I called at this hospital when I called for the ambulance. The GPS gave me this specific location." Cleyn said, staring with raised eye brow towards the receptionist.

"Come here and double check the data and register" The receptionist said with a smile.

"Yeah, let me see." Cleyn said with a clear voice.

"This story keeps getting more strange. What even is going on here?" Blayne said with a confused face.

"It does feel like a bad videogame to me aswell." Cleyn responded moving towards the receptionist from the side.

The Receptionist stood beside and let Cleyn sit on the chair. He started looking at the data closely. Blayne not aware of what he entangled into since the past hour starting reading the behaviour of the receptionist somehow.

"Those stary eyes, what is going on? Is she having a love at first sight, a crush on my handsome hunk or maybe something feels fishy?" Blayne muttered to himself.

Cleyn stood there in complete shock as the call records were completely missing. He asked himself about this eventually took out his phone. In there he dialed the same number again which was appearing as non available. He stood silently and left the area. Blayne stood there watching Cleyn exit.

"Thank you" Cleyn said with a retreat towards the exit.

"Your welcome sir" The receptionist responded quickly.

She cleared her throat again and then slightly whispered to Blayne, "Could you please do me a slight favor?"

"What kind of favor?" Blayne said with a confused look.

"Please give this note to that person who came with you" She said with a bright smile.

"Uhm....sure" Blayne said, slowly walking off aswell.

Blayne left the hospital only to see Cleyn standing still with his arms crossed on his car. He was hesitant to give that note to him at the moment as he had tackled multiple grieves in the past hour. He stood beside him, gave him a warm hug and directioned him to sit in the car.

Carter sat in the car without uttering a single word. He stood silent completely in the most journey, Driver didn't utter anything else aswell. He was smart enough to read the room. Blayne drove the car towards the place where his underground basement lab and his giant palace were located. He decided to break the silence.

"Mind staying tonight at my chamber?" Blayne said with a friendly tone.

In a few seconds, Cleyn spoke "Alright buddy, thanks."

Blayne looked back at the Driver and he also gestured with a yes node.

While going out of the vehicle, Cleyn dialed a number and went afar. He whispered a number and came back to join the two. Blayne thought something was fishy overall but it was Cleyn, his closest brother and teammate so he didn't react much.

They entered the palace. Dinner was served at 8:45 pm, and as it was tiring day for all of them. They eventually decided to sleep and continue the discussion on the case in the morning.

When Cleyn entered his bedroom, the Driver came out and knocked slowly on the door of Blayne. He opened it, expecting Cleyn but encountered the Driver.

"Hmm, is this a good time to ask something?" The Driver said in a discomforted tone.

"Sure brother, you are always welcome to question anything except the broken window in your room. The answer for that is rather a personal one" Responded Blayne, sitting on his couch.

"No sir, the question is about the certain turn of events, I encountered today." Driver said, sitting next to Blayne.

"Mind explaining them to me so that I can tell my part aswell?" Blayne said with a comforting tone.

"So eventually since morning, both my license and ID card got missing. Then, the car broke down on me and Mr Cleyn. Thirdly, I encountered a complete shady person when you both entered the hospital. His smile was very creepy and off." Driver said, with a whispering tone.

"Well for the first part of the story, you should revisit where you spend most of ur time yesterday. The car breaking down is a regular occurance but with the third part, I do completely agree fella." Blayne said, trying to sit cross legged.

"Those eyes were telling me like it knew me deeply. To me, it felt really creepy but to his pov, I had a feeling that he knew me closely, like being familiar" responded Driver, rubbing his nose.

"Yeah brother, this is something truly concerning. Adding to this, when me and Cleyn was inside, I interacted with this sick person as well and it didn't gave a good vibe aswell." Blayne said with a low pitch.

"Yeah man, such an odd day around odd people. Apart from this, do you think Cleyn is doing well?" Driver asked in a concerning tone.

"Well yes, we can hope. For now, he needs a bit of rest to get refereshed in order to progress." Blayne replied with a friendly tone.

"I agree sir, we will continue this topic ahead tomorrow at breakfast." Driver said while slowly standing from the couch.

"Sure thing bro, a sketch would also work. Until then, have some rest." Blayne asked, putting his head forward for a handshake. The Driver shook his hand.

"Thanks sir and goodnight aswell" Driver said with a smile and left the room, closing the door slowly.

Meanwhile, inside Cleyn's room, he was busy researching on the complete process of what he encountered that day. He looked closely at the clues that Goldour told him about, the lab, the tyre marks and the overall hospital experience.

The whole day started running as memories in his head the way his first wife used to run like.

He decided to mix all the clues, to get a solid evidence. After a short interval, he received a call from his main spy to whom he had whispered a number earlier.

The spy whispered a number to him, with complete location and call record history from the past 2 weeks.

Cleyn read the address:

"West Block Sunbum Building"

"Block No 11, Floor 2, Room 301"

"30-35 mins away"

"Time to replay the game you loved to play with me." He said with an aggressive stance. He dropped a message to the Driver to consider picking him up at 6am with the address mentioned above.

After that, he opened the window slowly. As the lights of the room were off, he silently left the palace. He started walking towards the West Block in the cold weather, particularly with 2am on the clock.

The weather was really cold but the aggression & rage inside Cleyn had no effect on him overall. He approached the Block 30 mins later and started to search for the room.

"Room No 301, here we go" Cleyn muttered to himself.

Before he could make a move, he heard some unsettling noises coming from the room.
