Chaim's POV
I kept Audrey pressed against my side as we wrapped up the morning proceedings. The trial had been straightforward enough since we'd already gathered all the evidence back at the Palace. Finding their Pack laws had been the key, and discovering that transferring the title to a second-born son violated those very laws made our decision easy.
We were back on the highway before noon. Mom was already on her phone with the next hotel, updating them on our earlier arrival time. Being ahead of schedule meant the staff needed extra time to put the finishing touches on our accommodations.
Ian strolled into our shared suite and immediately claimed the bedroom on the right. He moved through the space with practiced ease, checking out each of the three bedrooms before stopping at the last one.
"This room has a soaking tub, Audrey. Would you prefer to use it before dinner or after?" He directed his question straight at her, making sure she could see his face clearly.
