"Why was I looking at who like how?" Caleb asked quietly, turning to face me completely, his piercing gaze boring into mine from above.
I stared up at him with parted lips, my throat working as I swallowed hard.
What exactly was fueling my anger? He was devastatingly handsome, and it scrambled my thoughts. Wait, I remembered now.
I folded my arms across my chest, erecting my defenses and refusing to be distracted by his striking features and powerful physique. "Why were you staring at Bonita like that?"
He moved closer, our bodies nearly brushing, his heat gradually warming my skin. "Like what, exactly?"
My mouth went dry as I swallowed again, my determination wavering. "Y-you were watching her with this focused expression during her presentation."
"Mmm." His attention shifted to my mouth as his hand lifted slowly, his thumb grazing across my bottom lip.
