Cornelia's POV

"What did I tell you about begging?" His voice cut through the air like a blade, fingers gripping my jaw with bruising force, eyes blazing with that dangerous light I knew too well.

"You told me not to," I whispered, my hand finding his, not to push him away but to hold him there. My gaze never wavered from his burning stare.

"Smart girl. Your brain still functions. So stop begging."

"Maybe I wouldn't have begged if you'd just given me what I needed instead of being such a bastard!" The words tore from my throat, my grip tightening on his hand until my knuckles went white.

Something wild flashed across his face. His nostrils flared as he yanked his hand away, his body covering mine in one fluid motion. His breathing turned ragged, primal.

"Fine," he snarled, his hands making quick work of my dress, fabric tearing like paper. His eyes devoured my exposed skin, a low rumble building in his chest. The predator in him was clawing to the surface. "Mine."
