Chapter 142 - Chapter 141: The Interrupted Spar, Tartaglia Breaks into Guyun Stone Forest

Just a few seconds before Su Han and Beidou officially began their fight, Ningguang received a call from the outer perimeter.

"Bad news, Lady Ningguang. A small boat has broken through our defensive line. Based on the enemy's appearance, we have identified the intruder as the Fatui Harbinger Tartaglia. We are currently pursuing the target. Please give instructions."

"Hold your positions. He is not someone you can stop."

"Yes, my lady."

After receiving the report, Ningguang was somewhat irritated. However, considering that the enemy's strength was far beyond what ordinary Millelith soldiers could handle, she suppressed her anger. As for what the intruder intended to do, she already knew it well.

Moreover, the scene was filled not only with a large number of Millelith elites and various experts, but also a Mondstadt Archon and Cloud Retainer. A mere Harbinger could not possibly stir up much trouble. Of course, Ningguang did not know Zhongli's true identity. Otherwise, she would have been even more composed.

Boom.

A violent explosion immediately drew Ningguang's attention back to the battlefield.

Beidou's greatsword was wrapped in surging lightning. Every strike carried terrifying power. After only a few attacks, the ground had already been smashed into a pitted mess. If the terrain here were not exceptionally sturdy, countless deep craters would have already formed.

Yet no matter how relentlessly the captain pursued, she was never able to catch Su Han. He was like a loach, always able to evade her attacks with ease.

Hu Tao asked in confusion, "Why isn't Su Han attacking? Just dodging like this won't let him beat Beidou."

"No, this is the power of Observation," Shenhe explained. "Look closely. Su Han isn't simply evading. From the moment his opponent starts attacking, he has already captured her movements. If you've read the comics, you should understand. This power is called the Observation Haki. Su Han's ability is even more advanced than that."

Shenhe's explanation shocked everyone. This was actually the power of Observation.

Kaedehara Kazuha widened his eyes, not daring to miss such an exciting fight.

On the mountain peak, Cloud Retainer smiled and said, "The gap is far too large. The two of them aren't on the same level at all. Su Han hasn't even gotten serious yet. He's even using Beidou to train himself. This child's comprehension is astonishing. In just one day, he has already grasped the key to concealing his aura."

The battle continued to intensify.

When Beidou realized that she could never catch up to Su Han, she instantly changed tactics and began attacking him with large-scale techniques.

"Let's see how you dodge this time."

Beidou's sword aura covered a full twenty meters ahead. At that distance, no matter how fast Su Han was, it should have been impossible to evade. The crowd gasped. With such a massive area of effect, dodging seemed impossible.

Yet Su Han actually stopped moving.

He smiled faintly, golden light gathering in his hand as he assumed a sword-drawing stance. His sword aura struck later but arrived first, completely intercepting the purple thunder sword aura.

Before the smoke could disperse, Beidou had already charged forward. Her greatsword came crashing down like a mountain.

"You're not running this time?"

"Yes. Running all the time isn't satisfying for you either. But our fight needs to end quickly, so I'm sorry. I can't keep playing with you."

As Su Han spoke, the divine flame mark on his forehead lit up. A fiery red longsword appeared in his hand. Drawing the Fire Qilin Sword meant he was finally getting serious.

Buzz.

The two exchanged a rapid clash, ending in a deadlock.

However, Su Han's speed far exceeded Beidou's expectations. She had not even regained her footing before he was already upon her.

"So fast."

Boom.

Beidou raised her greatsword to block, but the power Su Han unleashed this time was far greater than before. Although she blocked the strike, the shockwave from the follow-through sent her flying backward.

But this captain was no pushover. While still in midair, she used a heavy descent technique, slamming back to the ground and counterattacking. The fight instantly became evenly matched again.

However, with Observation Haki, Su Han always held the advantage. Beidou's willpower and battlefield reactions were simply too strong, preventing him from finishing her off quickly. Of course, this also had to do with the fact that he was not fully serious.

Sensing the powerful aura approaching rapidly from the sea, Su Han sighed and said, "Trouble is coming. Looks like I can't drag this out any longer."

Although he did not know who the enemy was, the hostile aura made it clear that the newcomer meant no good. He had to end the fight quickly, or things would only get messier.

A thunderous sound erupted from within Su Han's body. His eyes turned a mysterious silver-white. In an instant, he appeared behind Beidou, so fast that she did not even have time to react.

The lightning protecting Beidou was effortlessly torn apart by sword aura entwined with pure Yang flame.

The victor was decided.

Only when the lightning shielding her shattered did Beidou realize that Su Han was already behind her. Though somewhat unwilling, a loss was a loss.

"You really were hiding another trick."

"Thank you for the match. When there's time, I'll accompany you for another proper fight. For now, please move everyone away. An uninvited guest has arrived."

"An uninvited guest?"

Beidou was puzzled, but at that moment, a figure descended from the sky.

Boom.

The ground collapsed into a massive crater upon his landing, countless tiny arcs of lightning scattering outward.

The crowd looked on in confusion. No one knew who this person was or why he had come crashing down from the sky. Was he here to spar as well? He did not look like it at all.

The figure slowly walked out of the crater. He wore a dark red mask, and his tall, slender build made him look very young. The perimeter had been sealed, so how had he gotten in?

"Hah, finally made it. The method was a bit rough, but as long as I get to duel you, it's all worth it. Don't you think, Mister Su?"

Faced with Tartaglia's provocation, Su Han replied calmly, "Enough talk. Come."

"Then I won't hold back."

As he spoke, two lightning daggers appeared in Tartaglia's hands. Almost the instant he finished speaking, he was already in front of Su Han. The twin blades fell like flowing clouds and rushing water, striking in a furious storm.

The spectators could barely follow the movements, but Su Han effortlessly evaded every attack.

"Not bad. Your reactions really are fast. Just as expected of an opponent I've been looking forward to for so long. Then try this."

Tartaglia merged his daggers together, forming a spear that shot straight toward Su Han's brow. Its speed was even faster than before.

At the perimeter, Shenhe was about to rush in to assist, but Cloud Retainer stopped her.

"Don't rush. This is a rare opportunity for Su Han to hone himself. With this Adeptus here, nothing will happen to him."

"Yes, Master."

Only then did Shenhe relax her tense body. Otherwise, she would have already charged in and turned it into a two-on-one fight.

On the nearby viewing platform, Ningguang was holding a Transponder Snail and speaking quietly.
