Chapter 278 - Chapter 275

The news spread like wildfire across Hogwarts the next morning: Umbridge had "fled" from the castle. Students and professors alike were shocked and gossiping in every corridor, trying to piece together what had happened. Whispers filled the Great Hall, as many recalled her tyranny and schemes: from attempting to control Hogwarts to meddling in the DA Club, to harassing professors and centaurs.

Some students secretly celebrated, while others were still trying to grasp how someone so feared could vanish overnight. The portraits of previous principals raised their eyebrows, murmuring about Roy's methods, though none dared question his authority openly. Even the Sorting Hat seemed to smile quietly, impressed by the efficiency with which Roy had handled the situation.

Meanwhile, in the Forbidden Forest, Roy had gone to meet the Centaur Chief. He handed the chief 30 bottles of the specialized potion—a potion designed to increase the chances of female centaurs becoming pregnant—as a token of goodwill and trust for keeping the forest's balance.

"Umbridge," Roy said as he escorted her through the dense trees, "you will answer for the curse you carried as Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."

Umbridge, pale and trembling, tried to protest, "Fudge… he'll come to save me! He won't let you do this!"

Roy smiled coldly. "Fudge? He made you his scapegoat. It was your deeds, not his, that brought you here."

He then performed the forbidden magic, breaking the curse on Umbridge once and for all. Blood ran from her nose, ears, and eyes, a testament to the immense power of the ritual. Umbridge gasped, realization dawning on her: she had been abandoned, exposed, and completely at Roy's mercy.

Within moments, her life slipped away. Roy, confident that the curse binding her to the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor was finally lifted, cremated her body to erase all trace of her lingering malice.

Afterward, Roy contacted Rita Skeeter, instructing her to publish a story stating that Umbridge had fled Hogwarts. The next day, headlines read:

"Dolores Umbridge Escapes from Hogwarts! Fudge Exonerated!"

The wizarding world reacted with a mixture of shock and relief. Students and professors were stunned by the sudden turn of events, while public opinion solidly shifted: Fudge was innocent, and Umbridge was the true mastermind.

Hogwarts resumed its normal rhythm, but a quiet respect—and a touch of fear—lingered in the corridors. Everyone understood: Roy Valvas was not only the youngest Headmaster in history, but also a force few could challenge.
