Chapter 288 - Chapter 285

Breakfast at Hogwarts was unusually quiet that morning. After two full days of Roy's private concerts for the massive family delegation that had descended upon the castle, most professors were still unsure whether to praise him… or ask how on earth he had done it.

Roy, however, walked into the Great Hall as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened.

He sat at the staff table, calmly eating toast while Professor Flitwick rubbed his temples, McGonagall sipped her tea like she was trying to recover some dignity, and Snape acted as though this were all somehow a personal inconvenience.

Before anyone could gather enough courage to comment, a sudden scream split the hall.

Students jumped. Plates clattered.

Professor Trelawney staggered in, her enormous magnifying spectacles askew, her magic Eye trembling and glowing with an unnatural light.

Then her voice warped—deep, echoing, ancient.

The Prophecy

"The Dark Lord prepares to rise once more…A shadow marked by death walks in the wake of the Chosen…Only the one blessed by the Dawn and the one scarred by nightmay end the cycle of blood…"

The room froze.

Her voice cut off. The glow faded. She blinked owlishly and looked around in confusion.

"Good heavens—why is everyone staring? Did I… spill something?"

Immediately a barrage of questions exploded—students, professors, everyone firing a hundred inquiries at once.

"What does the prophecy mean, Professor?"

"When will this happen?"

"Is Harry in danger?"

Trelawney looked helpless and alarmed.

"I–I don't understand! Why is everyone acting as though I've done something?"

Roy sighed softly and stood up.

Roy Clarifies the Truth

"When Professor Trelawney makes a real prophecy," he announced calmly, "she never remembers it afterward. She has no idea what she just said."

There was a collective ohhhh from the students, who suddenly realized this wasn't the moment to panic.A few nodded in understanding; others simply accepted Roy's words as gospel truth—after all, they had seen stranger things from him.

And with that, the tension dissolved.

McGonagall clapped her hands sharply."Everyone, finish breakfast and return to your dormitories. You all need to pack."

The End-of-Year rush began.

Packing and Goodbyes

Students hurried through the corridors, chattering nervously about prophecies, concerts, and the wild influx of extraordinary women who had filled Hogwarts over the last two days.

Roy walked toward the station, and on the way he was stopped by Harry.

Harry swallowed, unsure, then extended his hand."I… wanted to say it earlier, but everything was chaos. I'm sorry about what happened. And thank you—for everything these past days."

Roy took his hand with an easy smile."My condolences to you as well. And stay sharp. Things will move faster from now on."

Harry nodded solemnly.

The Train Compartment

When Roy entered the train, the girls were already waiting:

HermioneCassandraDaphneAstoriaGinnyLuna

They were talking, laughing, passing snacks around.

The moment Roy stepped in, all six heads turned to him at once—bright, expectant.

He sat down with them, and they spent the entire ride chatting about the concerts, the chaos, the incoming invitations, and the prophecy everyone pretended not to be worried about.

Return to the Station

Once the train reached King's Cross, the platform was crowded with familiar faces.

Molly Weasley engulfed Roy in a warm hug.Daphne and Astoria's mother smiled knowingly.Cassandra's mother smirked with a teasing glint.Cho's mother greeted him politely.Hermione's mother nudged Hermione while giving Roy a look that clearly said, So this is the boy?

They all teased him—light, playful, knowing.

Roy endured it with a dignified smile and an internally dying soul.

He said his goodbyes, lifted his suitcase, and with a flick of magic disappeared.

He was headed back to France.

Before leaving the platform, Roy sent the written transcript of the prophecy directly to Dumbledore's office—quietly, discreetly, as if it were just another chore.

The year had ended.
