Inside a magnificent obsidian castle polished to mirror-like perfection, the Purple Primordial sat upon an elegant throne adorned with amethyst inlays and velvet cushions.

Violet, who in the future would be known as Ultima after being named by Rimuru rested her cheek on her palm, legs crossed with regal impatience.

Violet had long, flowing purple hair that shimmered like mist, framing a small, doll-like face. Her amethyst eyes glowed with a mischievous, almost cruel playfulness, and her petite figure was wrapped in an elegant dress that suited her princess-like arrogance.

She looked deceptively adorable, but every gesture and expression hinted at a violent, unpredictable cruelty lurking just under her playful demeanor.

"Chef," she said sharply, "exactly long do I have to wait for my food, it's been over 30 minutes already?"

The demon addressed as Chef straightened immediately.

"V-Violet-sama, it will be ready soon. Just a little more patience."

Chef, who would later on be named Zonda by Rimuru was a lean demon with violet hair tied into a neat side ponytail, a single horn jutting from his forehead, and sharp purple eyes set against dark sclera. His crisp chef's coat gave him a strangely formal, disciplined air despite the chaotic nature of demons.

Violet scoffed.

"Why should a princess like me have to wait so long for food? Are you not the one who is supposed to work faster."

"Y-Yes, you are correct Violet-sama! I'll get it done right away!" Zonda replied, bowing and nearly stumbling as he rushed off toward the grand kitchen.

Violet sighed and swept her gaze over the room. Her subordinates, one elegantly fanning her with a silk-feathered artifact, the others standing neatly in formation, while waiting for her command.

"All twenty of you demons," she snapped, "can't you entertain me or something? What good is it for you to just stand around like decorations?"

One demon flinched and answered timidly,

"V-Violet-sama, w-what is it should we do…?"

Violet glared, purple eyes burning.

"You are asking me!? You're useless! Why should I tell you what to do? Use your own head and figure something out."

The demons trembled.

But at that moment, a ripple of dark magic formed beside the throne, and a refined demon materialized with perfect posture.

"Violet-sama. Getting angry isn't good for you."

Violet's expression softened instantly.

"Butler! You're back. Well? Did you find him?"

Butler, who would later be named Veyron by Rimuru was a dignified demon, his purple hair slicked back in a neat, mature style, and a well-groomed handlebar mustache framing his firm mouth. Two curved horns arced from his forehead, reminding all who saw him of his ancient demonic lineage. He stood with a lean, composed posture in his butler outfit, a picture of refined servitude, yet with an undercurrent of danger in his calm, calculating eyes.

Veyron bowed and said.

"Yes, Violet-sama. I found him. But… what I saw him doing was rather unusual."

Violet's eyebrow arched.

"Unusual? Well that idiot always does unusual things, so you are going to have to be more specific."

Veyron hesitated.

"Well Violet-sama, he appeared to be… training a Greater Demon."

Violet blinked. thought for a second and then only muttered.

"…Huh?"

"That was my reaction as well, Violet-sama." Veyron said.

Violet leaned back thoughtfully, tapping the armrest.

Training a demon?

Diablo usually does things that are bizarre, but again why would he do something so bizarre?

"Was there anything special about this demon? I need to figure out the reason."

"That is what I wished to report," Veyron continued. "This demon was—"

But then the doors suddenly burst open as Chef rushed in with a gleaming golden cart stacked with steaming dishes.

Violet's eyes lit up in delight.

"Wait, Butler. I've been waiting for this for a whole 30 minutes."

Veyron's eye twitched.

Zonda hurried to the expansive dining table, carefully arranging a variety of exquisite dishes, fine meats, delicately seasoned vegetables, jewel-like desserts, aromatic soups all presented with pristine care.

Butler attempted once again,

"Violet-sama, regarding the demon—"

"Butler." Violet said firmly, picking up her fork. "Do not disturb me while I eat. If you do, I'll get very angry."

He closed his mouth and bowed.

"…Very well, Violet-sama."

Turning back to the food Ultima's eyes glowed with a faint purple light as she leaned forward on her throne.

"Chef," she said, voice sharp yet curious, "won't you explain the dishes?"

Zonda, flustered but composed, bowed slightly.

"Of course, Violet-sama," he replied. He began explaining each dish on the table in detail, the ingredients, the preparation, and the intended flavor combinations. Every plate was described with care, highlighting its quality and elegance.

When he finished, Ultima clapped her hands lightly, eyes shining.

"Amazing. Just amazing, Chef. You might be my favorite subordinate."

Zonda's lips curved into a modest smile.

"Is that so?" he said quietly. Then, with a subtle smug glance, he looked at Butler.

Veyron, still standing near the throne simply said,

"That statement does not bother me, Chef. So don't give me that smug look."

Ultima, however, suddenly frowned, eyes narrowing.

"Chef," she snapped, "how could you present such a fine meal and not give me my bottle of wine? Are you making a joke of me?"

Zonda's face paled, panic flashing in his eyes.

"Violet-sama! I… I have made a mistake! It was an oversight!"

Ultima's frown deepened, voice rising.

"Then are you going to fix it, or just stand there like a useless subordinate?"

"I'll get it right away!" Zonda shouted, already hurrying toward the wine cellar.

Ultima, still sitting on her throne, shook her head in exasperation.

"My subordinates are so incompetent… That's why my favorite is Butler."

Zonda paused mid-step, shocked. That didn't even take a minute, he thought, eyes wide.

Butler laughed softly.

"Well then, Chef. How interesting."

Zonda twitched involuntarily and turned back to Ultima.

"Violet-sama… I thought I was your favorite."

Ultima leaned back, eyes glittering mischievously.

"I'm a Princess. And Princesses can change their minds as much as they want. Is that a problem?"

"Of course not, Violet-sama!" Zonda said quickly, bowing deeply, and then rushed off to retrieve the wine.

Ultima let out a long, dramatic sigh, reclining on her throne.

"Is it really that hard to get Princess treatment around here? That's why I have to materialize in the Cardinal World myself. The thought of those two useless demons Bleu and Vert enjoying that world instead of a Princess like me makes my heart boil."
