Chapter 621: The Myriad Realms Tavern
Akainu and Doflamingo immediately snapped their mouths shut, both turning their heads away.
Imu stood not far from Doflamingo, her severed left arm still dripping blood.
She glared at Bai Ye, her eyes full of bitter resentment. She had sacrificed the Five Elders; now, she was a commander without an army.
Bai Ye casually reached under the bar and pulled out a glass bottle filled with green liquid.
"Limb Regeneration Potion. That'll be five hundred million Berries. No credit." Bai Ye pushed the bottle to the edge of the bar.
Imu scoffed coldly, tossing out a Black Gold Card. She grabbed the potion and downed it in one gulp. Fresh flesh and sinew immediately began to sprout from her severed stump.
Satisfied, Bai Ye tucked the Black Gold Card away. He tapped open a system panel in front of him that only he could see.
A system notification chimed in Bai Ye's mind. [Marvel Instance settlement complete. Superhero Faction: Survived. Thanos Faction: Core objective failed.]
A colorful glass ball materialized in Bai Ye's palm. It radiated a prismatic light, surging with terrifying energy fluctuations from within.
Whitebeard leaned in. He stared at the glass ball, sensing an astonishing power capable of destroying the entire One Piece World.
"Manager, what is that thing? It looks even more dangerous than that Purple Raisin's Infinity Gauntlet," Whitebeard boomed.
Bai Ye casually tossed the glass orb into the air and caught it steadily.
"This? It's the Origin Energy Crystal of the Marvel Universe. It makes for a pretty decent lightbulb."
Dead silence fell over the tavern. Everyone stared at Bai Ye with wide eyes.
The rice cracker fell right out of Garp's mouth, hitting the floor. That was the origin energy of a universe, and he was using it as a damn lightbulb!
Ignoring the crowd's shock, Bai Ye walked to the tavern entrance with the glass ball in hand.
There happened to be a groove on the tavern's wooden signboard. Bai Ye simply pressed the glass ball right into it.
Prismatic light instantly erupted. The entirety of Foosha Village was bathed in its gentle, radiant glow.
The once-shabby wooden tavern sign now exuded an almost divine aura.
Bai Ye dusted off his hands, turned around, and strolled back to the bar.
"Alright, the accounts for the Marvel Instance are settled. You all should still have plenty of spare cash on hand."
Bai Ye tapped his finger lightly in the empty air.
Ruuuumble! The tavern's wooden walls suddenly let out a deafening roar. The solid wood slowly began to part and fold away to the sides.
The scenery outside completely transformed. Gone were the familiar streets of Foosha Village, replaced by an endless expanse of starry space.
Countless shimmering plane fragments floated silently in the cosmos. Each fragment represented a completely distinct, alternate world.
The sheer visual impact caused everyone in the tavern to hold their breath.
Garp dashed to the edge of the opened wall in a few strides. His eyes went wide as he locked onto the nearest fragment.
Golden auras churned across the surface of that fragment. Deafening roars continuously echoed from within, radiating a violent, frenzied thirst for battle.
Garp crushed the remaining rice cracker in his teeth, shouting in excitement.
"Manager! That place glowing with gold looks like it's full of guys who can take a real beating! I wanna buy a ticket to that fragment!"
It was the Saiyan Plane of the Dragon Ball World. Garp's battle mania was fully ignited.
At that moment, Kaido had finally digested the Time Stone in his stomach. His massive frame returned to normal.
He climbed off the floor, his gaze locking onto a massive fragment deep within the starry sky.
That fragment was filled with towering, ancient trees. Colossal, prehistoric beasts rampaged within, tearing the very earth apart.
"Wororororo! The monsters in that place look pretty interesting! I'm going there to catch the fiercest ones as pets!" Kaido laughed wildly.
Shanks paid no mind to those violent planes. His gaze lingered on a fragment in the upper right corner emitting a cyan light.
An invisible sharpness radiated from it, slicing through the surrounding void. The laws of the sword within that realm were incredibly pure.
Shanks stroked his chin and turned to look at Benn Beckman.
"Beckman, how about we go check that one out? It might help my swordsmanship break through to another level."
Beckman exhaled a ring of smoke, shrugging indifferently. "As long as you don't gamble all our money away again."
Doflamingo pushed up his pink sunglasses. Staring at the shimmering planes, he saw endless wealth and boundless business opportunities.
Imu clenched her newly grown left arm. She was going to rebuild her absolute rule, and these planes were the perfect resources to do it.
Watching this overly excited bunch, Bai Ye rapped his knuckles twice against the bar top.
The crisp tapping instantly quieted the room. Everyone turned to look at the mysterious manager.
Bai Ye stood up and stretched lazily. Stepping around the bar, he slowly walked to the tavern's main entrance.
Outside the doors, a dense crowd had gathered at some unknown point.
The generals of Marine Headquarters stood in orderly formation on the left. Aokiji and Fujitora had their heads tilted back, staring blankly at the prismatic glass ball on the sign.
The leader of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon, stood on the right with his cadres. Sabo and Koala were loudly debating which world's tickets they should buy.
Pirates packed the open space in the middle. Luffy and Ace were practically bouncing off the walls with excitement at the very front of the crowd.
"Manager! The meat in that Saiyan place, is it delicious!?" Luffy shouted, drool pooling at the corner of his mouth.
Whack! Garp lunged forward, smashing his fist down onto Luffy's head.
"You brat, all you ever think about is eating! I'm taking you to that world for some hellish training!" Garp roared.
Ace stood to the side gloating, only for Garp to drop him to the floor with a swift punch of his own.
A few portals of varying colors were even hovering open in mid-air.
Ninjas from the Naruto World stood at the edge of one portal. The Third Raikage was shouting at the top of his lungs, asking Garp when they could fight again.
Namekians from the Dragon Ball World peeked cautiously through theirs. King Piccolo stood with his arms crossed, his face a mask of deep suspicion.
From the Marvel World portal, Tony Stark, clad in his battered Mark Armor, waved wildly at the crowd.
"Hey! You! The magma guy in the red suit! You melted my Mark Armor, who's paying the repair bill!?" Tony yelled.
Akainu ignored him entirely. Doctor Strange quickly yanked Tony backward and snapped the portal shut.
Whitebeard looked out the door at Marco and Jozu, booming with laughter.
"My sons! Get your Berries ready! Your Pops is taking you to a new world for some real training!"
The entirety of Foosha Village was now completely jammed with absolute legends and powerhouses from across universes.
Taking in this spectacular sight, a lazy smile crept onto Bai Ye's lips.
He cleared his throat. His voice wasn't loud, yet it echoed with crystal clarity into everyone's ears.
"Welcome to the Myriad Realms Tavern."
Bai Ye pointed to the endless starry cosmos and the glittering plane fragments behind him.
"As long as you have the money, you can run wild in the myriad heavens and worlds. If you want to fight, hunt for treasure, or just look for a thrill—we have it all."
A deafening cheer erupted from the crowd. The shockwave of sound was so massive it scattered the clouds in the sky above.
Bai Ye leaned casually against the tavern's doorframe and let out a massive yawn.
"Now, new instance tickets are on sale! Line up, no cutting in line! Ten percent off everything today!"
The tavern's doors were thrown wide open. The prismatic light from the signboard illuminated the night sky of Foosha Village.
The legend was only just beginning.
