Chapter 63 - Chapter 63 Decentralized Response

Soon after Chris returned to his room, Dumpling followed him out of the banquet.

"What are you going to do? Wait for nightfall and just wring their necks?"

Dumpling held a grilled sausage and curiously asked Chris.

Standing by the window, Chris, hidden in the shadows, watched Megan excitedly leave with a boy, a hint of respect flashing in his heart.

"No, that would be too boring. Don't you want some excitement? Although my presence might spoil the thrill, who says only victims can feel the excitement!"

Dumpling finished her sausage and eagerly anticipated, "Oh oh oh, you're so thoughtful! So what's the script you've arranged? A Griffin Family hunting competition?"

"Uh... you're a bit too extreme!"

Listening to Dumpling's bloodthirsty words, even Chris, who had truly achieved a thousand kills, felt a slight discomfort.

After all, it was indeed too incongruous for a child to say such things.

Seeing Chris's strange expression, Dumpling sneered, "Hehe, you're not just planning to kill their family, are you? If so, I won't participate in such a small game; it's a waste of time."

"That depends on Louise's attitude. If that woman named Missy is suicidal enough, things might develop in the direction you're hoping for."

Chris crossed his arms, his gaze fixed on Missy, who was constantly trying to get close to Louise, hoping the other party wouldn't do anything foolish.

Dumpling sensed the hidden meaning in Chris's words, her eyes flickered, and then she returned to the barbecue party.

To make this vacation more interesting, Dumpling decided to take the initiative to make things more aggressive.

After all, among the current Griffin Family, the only person who could compete with him was Chris.

If the other party didn't go all out in the competition, he wouldn't feel any involvement!

Chris watched Dumpling's little tricks in the venue, but he couldn't be bothered with his little brother's actions and actually went to sleep.

Meanwhile, Megan was led by Jeremy to the lakeside, so excited she almost burst into song.

This vacation was simply amazing; she actually met such an excellent boy who proactively expressed his affection for her, making Megan's heart pound.

It made Megan's hat bounce up and down.

"Hey, Megan! Do you have a little pet?"

Jeremy, holding Megan's hand, felt a bit uncomfortable. He happened to see Megan's hat bouncing and immediately took the opportunity to pull his hand away, pointing at Megan's head and asking.

"What?" Megan unconsciously touched her head, only then realizing her brain was pounding rapidly.

Just to avoid making this boy think she was a weirdo, Megan could only laugh and say, "Ah, that's right! I have a little hamster, it might be too cold!"

Suppressing the speed of her heart's beating, Megan then let go of his hand and said, "Look, it's not jumping now, I just warmed up its little nest."

"Hehe, you're so gentle, Megan!" Jeremy chuckled awkwardly, not understanding what this strange girl was thinking.

While Jeremy was sweet-talking Megan, Dean was also sweet-talking Peter, "I still have a bottle of good wine in my room, which I managed to save from Missy. Would you like to try it?"

"Really?" Drinking the bland juice, Peter's eyes instantly lit up when he heard there was wine.

Seeing Peter take the bait, Dean smiled confidently, "Of course, but you know, we can't let my wife know."

Peter looked at Missy, who was chatting with Louise, and tiptoed back towards Dean's house, while also whispering, "And we can't let my wife know either, she loves respecting other people's customs the most."

Dean looked at Peter's strange behavior, his heart blooming with joy. He didn't expect this family to be so unvigilant, so easily dispersed by him.

After Peter entered his house, Dean gestured to Missy, then followed him into the room.

As soon as he entered, Dean saw that Peter had no sense of being a guest, directly rummaging through his living room.

"Where is it? Where is it? How can you eat barbecue without wine?"

Seeing his sofa messed up by Peter, Dean was immediately annoyed, but for the sake of the plan, he suppressed his anger and said, "How could the wine be here? Come with me!"

With that, Dean led the way down to the basement, and Peter followed closely. Just looking at the dimly lit and gloomy basement, Peter casually said, "Wow! Your basement is really cold, just like some brutal killer's lair!"

Dean's footsteps paused when he heard this. He turned to look at Peter and realized that the remark seemed to have been said unintentionally by the other party, so he continued to lead the way inside.

"Hahahaha, sorry, ever since my wife advocated healthy eating, I haven't been down to this wine cellar much, so it hasn't been taken care of for a long time."

Saying that, Dean turned on the basement light, and what came into view was a row of shelves, all covered by dust cloths, completely obscuring what was underneath.

"Where's the wine? Where's the wine? If I had known the big meal was barbecue, I should have brought my own wine."

Peter ignored Dean's explanation. The chubby man rushed between the shelves, scanning back and forth for places where wine might be hidden.

Dean watched Peter's actions without stopping him. He took the wooden hammer at his feet with his backhand, then reminded him, "It's on the bottom of the second shelf inside. You'll see it if you look down."

"Is that so?" Peter squatted down, believing him, and as soon as he lifted the dust cloth, he found some medical alcohol inside.

"You got it wrong, Dean? This is alcohol!"

"No, buddy!"

"Hmm?" Peter heard the reply beside his ear, turned his head in surprise, and then saw the wooden hammer coming straight at him.

Bang!

Peter's corpulent body fell to the ground with a thud. Dean, not reassured, delivered two more blows, stopping only when Peter's head was bleeding profusely.

Looking at the disfigured Peter, Dean suddenly felt some regret, because now the customer would definitely bargain.

However, thinking of how irritated he had been by this fat man's shouting, Dean grabbed the wooden hammer again and hit him once more to vent his anger.

After venting, Dean found anesthetic and injected Peter. However, after estimating Peter's weight, he eventually increased the dosage to ten times the normal amount.

After dealing with Peter, Dean left him lying there, planning to handle the other prey before arranging everything together.

Meanwhile, at the barbecue party, Louise saw Dean come out, but noticed Peter was nowhere to be seen. She immediately walked over and asked, "Mayor Dean, what were you doing with Peter just now? Where has he gone now?"

Peter's earlier sneaky behavior was certainly seen by Louise, but she couldn't get away because Missy was clinging to her.

But now, fearing that Peter might embarrass himself in someone else's house, Louise certainly wanted to find out.

"Don't worry, Louise, Peter just went to the restroom. I was going to wait for him to come out together, but he said it was inconvenient with other people around, so..." Dean nonchalantly made up an excuse, then spread his hands and smiled helplessly.

Such a convincing performance made Louise believe him, as she also knew some of her husband's private habits.

"Alright! You've really gone to a lot of trouble."
