Chapter 69 - Chapter 69 The Underrated Dragon's Blood Drink

On Saturday afternoon, Louise woke up looking utterly exhausted.

Even though she had a good physical foundation, several hours of continuously killing hundreds of human-demons who trafficked in human organs still left her feeling fatigued.

She ended up sleeping until late afternoon.

Even Peter was still in bed, sleeping, due to all the driving he had done.

Only Chris, with his extraordinary physique, was able to maintain vigorous energy after just a few tens of minutes of sleep.

He woke up early to prepare breakfast, but after realizing no one else was awake, he ate several portions of breakfast by himself, then drank a bottle of dragon blood beverage to replenish his body's consumption.

When Louise groggily came downstairs, Chris saw her exhausted appearance and handed her another bottle of dragon blood beverage.

"What's this?" Louise looked at the orange-red drink in her hand, reading the word on it in confusion, "Debrad?"

Louise then remembered that this was the beverage factory her son had founded, and it was also a very popular functional drink recently.

Unfortunately, due to it being in short supply, Louise could never get her hands on it and had never had the chance to taste it.

Seeing Louise's confused expression, Chris asked curiously, "Didn't Brian ever bring some drinks home from the factory?"

Louise twisted open the cap and took a sip, instantly feeling alive again. She then chugged the entire drink, full of vigor, and said, "No, I don't even know what job Brian is doing now!"

"fuck! Could that dog-thing have taken the drinks and resold them?" Hearing Louise say that, Chris immediately had a bad feeling.

He even supplied dragon blood beverage to his group of cheap younger brothers, so how could he neglect his own family?

But now it seemed that the dragon blood beverage Dumpling brought back was all consumed by himself, while the drinks Brian took never appeared in the Griffin Family's home.

Based on Chris's understanding of that dog-thing, he must have resold those drinks.

Hearing Chris's speculation, Louise stretched her body; she had never felt so good.

"That sounds like something Brian would do, but it doesn't matter now. He's under a lot of pressure, with car loans and credit card debts, so don't blame him."

Chris obediently replied to Louise's persuasion, "Alright, I'll subtly remind him."

However, Chris wasn't prepared to let that guy's beastly behavior go so easily.

Just as he was thinking about how to punish Brian, he saw Peter come down from the second floor, shouting, "Louise, is there anything to eat? I feel so hungry, my stomach is protesting!"

Peter, who was shouting loudly, turned the corner of the stairs and instantly noticed Chris was also downstairs. His voice immediately softened, "I'm really hungry, is there anything to eat at home?"

Louise looked at Peter, who pointed to his violently trembling stomach, as if his stomach was truly protesting.

Chris also noticed this scene, like something out of a cartoon, and was amazed at what material Peter was made of, for his belly to be able to make such a shape.

Seeing Peter's pleading look, Louise looked at Chris... and the dragon blood beverage next to him.

Peter was so hungry that cooking now would clearly be too late; it would be faster to just let him drink some of this energy drink to replenish his consumption.

Chris noticed Louise's gaze and, being perceptive, grabbed a bottle and threw it to Peter.

"What is this? An energy drink?" Peter curiously opened the cap and then drank it all in one gulp.

Then Chris was surprised to find that the fat man's previously shriveled body instantly filled out, and his spirited appearance hardly resembled Peter.

"Oh, Louise!"

"Oh, Peter!"

Seeing Peter's reaction, Louise instantly understood his intention and responded with an agreement to connect.

Then Chris saw Louise gracefully tumble and jump into Peter's embrace, and Peter reached out his thick arms, hugged Louise, and turned to go upstairs.

Seeing how eager these two were, Chris was startled to realize that the dragon blood beverage actually had such an effect.

Damn it, it's being sold too cheaply!

Chris felt that his current pricing was practically charity; it was an insult to his identity as Carter's grandson, and that wouldn't do!

After realizing that the dragon blood beverage had other magical effects, Chris rushed to Dumpling's room, directly waking up the still-sleeping Dumpling.

Then, before Dumpling could throw a tantrum, Chris casually grabbed the leftover dragon blood beverage Dumpling had been drinking and poured it into his mouth, essentially forcing a restart.

The abundant energy interrupted Dumpling's initial discomfort upon waking, making him ask helplessly, "What's so urgent that you have to disturb my beautiful dream?"

"Our drink seems to be priced too low. Do you have a way to further reduce the active ingredients?"

Since he realized the previous pricing was unreasonable, Chris naturally wanted to raise the price.

This drink was priced at five dollars a bottle, and Chris felt that at least ten times that price would be reasonable.

But if it were priced at fifty dollars a bottle, not only would the number of buyers decrease, but it would also directly cause people's disgust.

So, if he couldn't directly raise the price, reducing costs from other aspects was another way to increase the price, wasn't it?

After telling Dumpling his thoughts, Chris eagerly awaited the answer he wanted.

However, Dumpling pondered for a moment and then slowly began, "Yes, I can certainly continue to reduce the proportion of dragon blood potion. However, once the dragon blood potion falls below one ten-thousandth, the active ingredients will decrease geometrically, eventually approaching zero.

For example, a bottle of the current dragon blood beverage can keep an ordinary person energetic for an entire day, but if the dragon blood potion component is reduced again, it might not even last half a day, and that's at one twenty-thousandth.

If it's further reduced to one hundred-thousandth, then a bottle of dragon blood beverage would ultimately only make an ordinary person vibrant for about ten minutes, which is essentially a supercharged stimulant effect."

Dumpling listed the consequences of reducing the dragon blood potion component one by one, waiting for Chris to make a decision.

After all, the dragon blood beverage was crucial to Chris's grand plan of establishing his base, so he couldn't act rashly.

However, after listening, Chris became concerned about the manufacturing cost, "What's the manufacturing cost for the one hundred-thousandth version, ten cents?"

"Even lower. With industrialized production, it can be reduced to three cents."

"Hiss!"

Hearing the cost Dumpling mentioned, Chris immediately made a decision.

"Change the dragon blood potion component ratio, make it one hundred-thousandth!"

"However, to prevent people from denouncing and cursing it, this version will be priced at three dollars, and the current one ten-thousandth version will be changed to the 'fitness version' and increased to thirty dollars a bottle."

"Anyway, this drink has only been out for a few days, so just say that the previous price was a promotional offer for welfare, which is why it was so cheap."

After hearing what Chris said, Dumpling did some calculations and then smirked, "Wow! You really are like a big capitalist!"

Chris responded, "Then why aren't you getting to work!"

"fuck you!"
