Chapter 7 - Part 2 – Mercy

Personality #13: "I will tell you about your main mistakes"

Pressure was felt in the room.

"Mistakes?"

"The first is that you shouldn't have left me alone tied to a chair; if you wanted to stop me from moving you should have sedated me and cut every tendon in my legs and arms"

In Rudolf's expression you could see a bit of confusion and then a glimmer of horror.

"The second, was not finding out any reliable information about exactly who I am"

Bewilderment about how my facets changed and doubt leaning toward terror about the meaning of my words.

"What are you talking about, I know about you children trained in those devil places, I don't have the slightest sympathy for you. You ended up there for being the weakest"

Personality #4: "The third was that you came and fell like an idiot hahahaha"

Laughter of madness and an expression conflicted with emotions flooded Heiss's face.

Peter concluded that there was nothing more important to say and that the words coming from my mouth were just delusions and empty provocations.

He closed his eyes for a moment and prepared to draw his weapon.

Personality #13: "Do you think I'm an idiot?"

"Eh?"

{I wouldn't ask anyone to see such a scene, what a cold way to murder.} says #9 to the other personalities.

No one in the room was expecting this change of position.

After all, a moment ago I was tied to the chair and against the wall when Peter had kicked me.

Personality #13: "You may be trained"

Peter and the others prepare to raise their weapons. But it was already too late.

The chains simply didn't break, but the chair that connected them did. They were already very tense and simply the aggressive increase made each part clear quickly.

In less than 2 seconds I was already in front of him.

Personality #13: "But you're not a good opponent"

Killing a person is very simple, you don't have to be an advanced age or anything like that to commit murder. After all, even a punch from an untrained 15-year-old boy could send you to the hospital.

I prepared to move my hand and the weapon to the left to approach his side and subdue him quickly.

Personality #13: "After all you're very weak"

Rudolf and the others noticed the change in position where we were. Me in front of them and Peter on the ground with a surprise on his face.

"How?!"

Personality #13: "You know nothing, of me, nor of the Codices, of the districts and especially of my void"

A horrifying scene showed before my eyes. Rudolf's thoughts were like a tide.

How was it possible that such a human existed. In my years of torture I never witnessed such an impactful scene.

Personality #13: "Perhaps it can be different for you Rudolf, maybe you're worth more than this idiot"

The boy they nicknamed Heiss. He began to slowly understand why there was so much terror behind his name.

He turned toward Peter and without the presence of him being alive, I raised my foot and discharged all my strength at the back of the leg, behind the knee. Breaking the muscles and tendons that held the two parts of the leg together.

A force capable of breaking both muscles and bones.

Personality #13: "Because for me at least you're not a useless one like him"

***

The foundations of my combat are based on what we could gather from our fights against the instructors and in the missions.

The bases of martial arts are useful for defense and combat, but for murder it's completely different. In reality, martial arts are designed for those 2 things, not for killing, the most practical martial art for disarming and incapacitating I've seen used outside the districts, would be the one used in special forces called Krav maga.

However, for practical purposes it wasn't so used in my style. After the numbers in the Principality fell below 60, there was an incentive to learn to acquire their own martial art for combat, for murder.

My form of defense is a variant between Wing Chun and Karate-Do, taking only the bases of the force of the strikes of the latter, and the posture with positions more and equally free as the first. This only in defense and immobilization.

These bases change to a less orthodox style at the moment of attack. Having fluidity in movement and strength in the strike. A dance of more free movements you could say.

Once entered in the zone, anyone has the power to leave several unconscious or subdued, and more so if their bases are efficiency in combat.

When you acquire the bases to move and potentiate them with strikes, only practice remains for subduing with simple locks and use of what was learned in vital zones.

My style is based on efficiency to defeat the opponent.

Being in the zone you are free from chains and creativity, but in the void it's a completely different state.

That's why it was so easy to break an extremity, still, there are even more requirements.

"!aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

The scream didn't take long.

"aah.. what the fuck, you useless pieces of shit shoot!"

Heiss approached the boys who are in the back near the door in the span of a second while sliding; he grabbed a short iron tube from the ground and prepared to cut the throat of the one with the strongest posture, in order to eliminate the most dangerous one first, that in the next second.

A varied fluid movement from kendo.

With speed and brute force he tore his neck so I could approach the next one lowering my hips and with a lock grabbing shoulder and leg exchanging places putting him on his back and driving the tube through his cervical vertebrae.

"If you really want to live, stay still. I won't kill you"

Two moved their pistols.

Removing the bar from the one I just stabbed, while keeping him standing as a shield; I threw the 2-meter piece of iron toward the head of one, piercing his eye and dropping him to the ground, I eliminated the next one by taking the pistol from the one I still had as a shield shooting in the forehead in a second with my left hand.

6 to 7 seconds passed since he moved.

He returned his arm to the back of the man he was holding.

Personality #4: "Haha, they're so slow. If they don't listen to this boy they'll end up dead"

Words intermixed as if two people were speaking through a container crossed each other.

Another of the mercenaries with his pistol in hand fired several shots toward my head hitting the skull of the meat shield.

Changing the hand with which I held the body and the pistol, I tilted the body and his improvised shield to the left, and with my right hand I aimed and shot the mercenary in the head.

Rising slowly Heiss dropped the body he was using as a shield and aimed the weapon at the four that remained

Personality #13: "Last warning"

The four that remained, left their weapons on the ground impregnated with the terror of being murdered, since in this span, none of them could fire a single shot due to the speed of the situation.

Rudolf on his part kept looking at me with the eyes of someone who sees a monster, although once he observed the situation he decided not to leave his weapon aside.

"I truly don't know what you are or who you are, but please... just please don't kill that person"

The person he was referring to was Peter.

My intuition and these eyes don't deceive me, the eyes of Personality #2.

Things can get aggressive if I keep #13 and the void for too long, and in these conditions it was better to change tactics.

Personality #2: "Why should I listen to you?"

And as if it were a theater the words that followed were what at one point I already intuited.

Something disgusting but that would have a turning point in a man's life, and a somewhat deep one in Heiss's future.

"He has my son!"

The eyes began to irritate giving the impression of wanting to cry. But it wasn't that, it was inhuman hatred with notable irritation.

A touching scene that would captivate anyone, and in my case it only reminds me of an old and eerie buzzing.

Personality #2: "And why should that concern me"

I wouldn't ask for understanding for my attitude and that of my personalities, but to be honest I had my reasons why I wanted him to act.

Because I already knew what the result was going to be.

Only desperation can light the fuse that this man needs to change his life.

Manipulation is not necessary when you can see the truth.

"N...nothing, but.."

Personality #2: "Although I think about killing them, I didn't say anything about you not being able to talk to him. As long as he talks to me about what I want to know I won't stop him"

Peter remained on the floor trying to stop the bleeding

"Ah... what the fuck do you think you're doing, shoot that son of a bitch!"

Rudolf approached moving his weapon toward the useless boss.

"You killed my wife, and you kidnapped my son"

Peter's face wrinkled and then arrogance flooded his features.

"Ha! And so what"

Even in those circumstances the dying man could put his expression of delight in blood.

"When you tried to get me involved in this stupid game again I told you I had already retired and that I didn't want you to contact me anymore"

"aaah hahaha, it's like I raped and killed your dear..."

"Bang!"

"Aahhhhh!"

{Hahaha he brought it on himself.} Says #4 beside me in semi-transparent form while enjoying the spectacle.

He received a gunshot to the shoulder, at this point he was already a dead man; blood loss and his current state had already condemned him.

At this point I only expected to leave one alive, but it might be...

"My wife is already dead, don't speak of her"

"I'll say it one more time, where is my son!"

The voice resonated throughout the room, apparently this is his true facet.

"hahah.. no matter what you do you won't be able to do anyt..."

"Bang!", "Bang!"

He proceeded to fire 2 more times. One in the other shoulder and another in his mutilated leg.

The screams of despair began to come to light.

"He's all I have left, where did you hide him, what did you do with him; you said that when this job was done you would let me see him!, so where, where..."

The rude and sarcastic man began to break with each word.

"Seriously you don't know already haha..aahh!"

A dagger was left lodged in his other leg.

Personality #4: "You have a very big mouth"

What my personalities do is within the limits I impose., or well within what we can agree on.

Personality #4: "Answer him, where is his son"

#4 may be fun and funny, but when it comes to family matters he's the most attached.

I start to approach and begin to move the knife in circles on his leg.

"Aahhh!...nooo, wait...ahhh!"

Personality #4: "Speak"

{That's enough #4, that matter doesn't concern us. You know what the difference is between helping and getting involved.} speaks #2.

These mental fights wear me out too much.

'Aahh!', my body starts to hurt a lot, and I feel my head throb horribly.

I must keep calm and wait a little longer.

"Fuu.."

Peter begins to breathe and exhale to endure the pain.

"Before I tell you let me just tell you something"

'What the fuck does he want now'

"You think that you and that bunch of abominations created in those districts are special haha, you're just a bunch of kids trying to be something you'll never manage to become."

"....."

"You're just tools that were created for banal and meaningless purposes; just beings that will be used by people with money without scruples like me"

"It's sad that you say it that way."

"What's sad about it, you should be angry for having such a shitty purpose as that"

Approaching him I look at him coldly.

"I'm not referring to that; I'm referring to the fact that you think you know something about that place."

"I know everything, there's nothing that didn't reach me before. Why do you think we had you imprisoned"

"I think you're mistaken in thinking I was captured because you wanted to, besides having answers about the district halfway"

"I perfectly know about you children used to be weapons, there's nothing that escaped me since we captured you"

"If you really knew anything about me, you would know that it would be a terrible idea to bring one of the Codices here alive"

His body trembled as if he had heard the worst of news.

"And if I had to explain to you why I let myself be captured, it would be with the answer of why I was first in that hotel"

"....."

Personality #4: "Even you don't know hahaha, the real purpose was to meet with someone who could guide me to you. Or specifically to your boss, did you think I wouldn't know that the district had already sold me to you?"

His eyes began to look at me giving the impression of doubt and bewilderment. Plus the terror from the words he had already heard before.

Personality #1: "Your face tells me more than you could decipher; not only did you not know why I was specifically attacked in that hotel, with the person I met, but you also thought I hadn't realized that your boss was the one who sent you here."

Personality #4: "The truth is you're an idiot who can't even figure it out properly. Before you arrived I was talking with your employees in order to know more, and despite everything, without them telling me much, I already knew that the person I'm looking for works with your boss"

On his face began to appear the ideas of what was and how everything reached this point.

A diabolic and cold face looked at Peter from above.

Personality #13: "Does the name Jouska ring a bell?"
