Chapter 233 - [234] : Mr. A Has Arrived!

Rastville Street.

On the lively street, ordinary people turned a blind eye to the approaching Red Gloves, drinking their alcohol on their own, allowing them to step forward and slowly encircle a certain building.

However, the streetwalkers on this street behaved extraordinarily. They stiffly turned their heads, looking at these Nighthawks with lifeless, cold eyes.

"Thump thump!"

They ran rapidly, their mouths tearing directly toward the back of their heads, charging over with twisted and terrifying open mouths!

However, after approaching several Red Gloves, their eyelids began to droop uncontrollably, and finally they collapsed directly to the ground, falling into deep sleep.

Although they were already dead and had become blood-flesh servants, the thick dreamscape still visited them.

Several Red Gloves unhurriedly raised their handguns and aimed at them.

"Bang! Bang!"

Several sacred bullets engraved with holy emblems roared out, hitting them.

The sacred aura dispelled the filth and corruption, and their corpses disintegrated, dispersing into ash.

"Keep moving forward."

The tall "Wings of the Goddess" said. Unlike her cold exterior, her voice seemed somewhat light.

"Everyone stay alert. The dangerous stuff is still ahead."

Sure enough, as soon as her words fell, more twisted and crazed flesh puppets surged out from that building.

Judging by appearance, most were streetwalkers. Under the manipulation of someone inside the house, they frantically poured out and lunged at the Red Gloves.

"Bang bang bang!"

The Red Gloves skillfully counterattacked, either shooting with enchanted bullets or using their own abilities and Sealed Artifacts, employing various methods.

They quickly cleaned up these blood-flesh servants.

The house once again became quiet, its windows pitch black, without any sound.

"Stop hiding and come out."

The tall woman called out loudly. "We know you're inside."

She secretly made a gesture, so several other Beyonders took their weapons and quietly approached.

With a "creak," the door of that house opened.

Lanevus, supporting his lower back, appeared before everyone with a gloomy expression.

His belly was already very large, like a woman at full term about to give birth.

Although everyone was wary of him, seeing such a peculiar sight of a pregnant man, they all showed surprise.

The man's posture and eerie appearance made Daly in the group look uncomfortable.

"Truly incredible."

The Wings of the Goddess smiled in surprise as she looked Lanevus up and down. "Leonard, that colleague of yours has quite the imagination. I rather like him."

"Your Excellency Isabella, please be serious."

Leonard said helplessly, though his gaze toward Lanevus showed deep wariness. After all, what was gestating in that belly was an evil god's offspring!

"You want to harm my child? You want to harm my child!"

Lanevus glared at them maliciously, his mouth muttering.

At this moment, he seemed to have lost the cunning a con man should have, instead becoming like a crazed mother simply wanting to protect her child.

His voice was shrill and terrifying. After shouting out, it echoed through the street, causing severe headaches.

The faces of several Red Gloves showed slight distortion. Lanevus's voice carried filthy corruption, making them feel intense discomfort.

"Bang bang bang!"

They opened fire. Enchanted bullets roared toward Lanevus.

However, those bullets didn't successfully hit their target.

In front of Lanevus's body, a crimson wall suddenly rose... That wall was actually composed of the flesh and blood of dead women!

"Whoosh..."

After blocking the bullets, the flesh wall collapsed, becoming a tide that surged toward several people.

"Boom!"

However, before it could approach, the tall lady named Isabella drew a massive-caliber hand cannon and pulled the trigger at the flesh.

Accompanied by a thunderous roar, that wall was blasted into fragments.

"Blood magic... Did the child in your belly teach you this?"

Isabella asked with interest. At the same time, the dark, gaping muzzle aimed at Lanevus as she walked toward him.

Lanevus looked at the gun muzzle, his face showing a twisted smile.

"That's right... How about you ask Him yourself?"

"Rip!"

He directly tore open his clothes, exposing his upper body to the air.

His abdomen protruded high, the surface skin stretched so thin it was nearly transparent, with blue-black veins clearly visible.

At the center of his abdomen, a peculiar outline was slowly forming, as if the existence inside was pressing close, reaching through the belly, extending a finger pointing at everyone...

"Fool, you actually dare get this close to me!"

A trace of joy appeared in Lanevus's eyes.

Next, as long as the child in his belly displayed even a bit of divinity, it could completely corrupt their spirits...

Just as this thought emerged, he felt the world before him become strange.

It was as if a giant beast had spread its wings and covered the sky.

Everything before him became dim, distant, quiet, tiny... Not only the world became tiny, but also him and the child in his belly, as if he'd become a speck of dust in the world, about to be blown away by the wind.

Lanevus looked at those Red Gloves with blurred consciousness.

They were clearly standing opposite him, yet felt like they were at the distant horizon...

From the Red Gloves' perspective, Lanevus's figure was being erased bit by bit, as if invisible wings covered his body, making him gradually disappear.

His divinity hadn't even begun to release corruption before it was easily erased by that Wings of the Goddess.

No, it didn't seem quite so easy.

Isabella focused intently on watching Lanevus being erased bit by bit, her left hand pressing on her right oversized sleeve.

Under the sleeve, something seemed to be wriggling, making rustling sounds as it rubbed.

The Church of the Evernight Goddess already knew about Lanevus's condition and naturally arranged for the person who could best restrain him.

"Wings of the Goddess" Isabella, when advancing to Sequence 5, received the Goddess's blessing.

One arm was sanctified. From then on, she possessed a special ability to make targets disappear in secrecy.

Using it to deal with Lanevus could be said to be most appropriate.

"So this is Wings of the Goddess..."

Leonard showed surprise, sighing softly.

"It feels even simpler than I imagined."

On a distant tower, Klein and Silas saw the scene of Lanevus being easily controlled and said sincerely, "Silas, the problem is solved now... Silas?"

He noticed his words received no response. Turning his head, he discovered the other person's face showed an uneasy expression.

"What's wrong?"

"A very strong guy is coming... I can feel it. He's from the same pathway as me!"

"Very strong? How strong?"

Klein couldn't help but blurt out.

"Same sequence as me."

Silas's expression was gloomy.

Same pathway, same sequence...

Klein reacted, his expression quickly becoming ugly too.

"A Shepherd? Mr. A has arrived! Where is he?"

Silas frowned, his gaze sweeping across the pitch-black street, yet he still couldn't determine that Shepherd's specific location.

He's clearly here, so why can't I see him? Could it be...

As if remembering something, he suddenly looked up toward that black airship silently hovering in the air!

"Boom!"

A loud explosion thundered. That airship floating above opened fire, but the cannon muzzle aimed at the Nighthawks below!

Towering flames and smoke rose up.

Reflected in the firelight, a bloated figure escaped the scene, rapidly fleeing outward.
