Chapter 668 Is He Not My Father?!!

Christmas Eve.

Mrs. Weasley prepared a banquet.

She made a lot of food and piled it across several tables.

Lupin and Sirius were also here.

Lupin looked at Darren apologetically.

"I was going to write to you, but Dumbledore asked me to go undercover among the werewolves, so I couldn't contact you."

Darren showed a worried expression.

"I hope I can graduate soon so I can help you too."

Lupin laughed.

"You're still a kid!"

"Darren isn't small. We had already started getting into trouble with James when he was his age!"

Sirius said with a smile.

Darren looked at him curiously.

"What has Headmaster Dumbledore asked you to do lately? You look… so handsome?"

Unlike before, Sirius now looked much more spirited.

He seemed to be regaining the handsomeness of his youth.

Sirius answered a little awkwardly.

But Lupin helped him explain.

"Headmaster Dumbledore asked him to visit those witches…"

"Witches?!"

Harry and Ron said in disbelief.

"Yes, just communicating with some witches, hoping to get them to join the fight… Sirius is the most handsome among us."

Lupin didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Sirius covered his face.

Darren felt there was definitely something going on.

Then he heard Lupin continue with a laugh, "There's also a Muggle girl… Sirius has been very close to her recently. I heard he's even going to visit her house."

"Then does she know Sirius is a wizard?"

Darren quickly asked.

Sirius's face turned pale.

He shook his head bitterly.

"I can't tell her… If she gets involved now, she'll die…

Bella is still alive. If she knew I found a Muggle girl, she would kill her without hesitation!"

The corner fell silent.

Lupin let the others continue playing.

He went to comfort Sirius himself.

Darren could only show a worried expression and was pulled by the two girls to eat and drink.

Harry and Ron had nothing better to do.

They continued discussing Malfoy and Snape at the table.

When they ran out of things to say, they suddenly felt that having a girlfriend might actually be nice.

Late at night.

Mr. Weasley finally returned.

Harry told him about what he had overheard between Snape and Malfoy.

But Mr. Weasley, as well as Lupin and Sirius who were beside him, all thought Harry was overthinking.

"But I still think Dumbledore can misjudge people too. Don't tell me even you two believe Snape is a good person."

"?"

Harry looked at Lupin and Sirius in disbelief.

Sirius hesitated.

He said awkwardly, "If you ask whether I trust him completely, that's impossible, because of our grudge with him…

So reconciliation in this lifetime is impossible, and we definitely still dislike him.

But we trust Dumbledore's judgment. If Dumbledore believes there is no problem, then at least for now, there is no problem."

"You don't believe Snape, you believe Dumbledore…"

"Yes, we believe in Dumbledore."

Lupin said firmly.

Harry was helpless.

He could only change the subject.

"Do you know someone called the Half-Blood Prince?"

"No. Did this person cause you trouble?"

Lupin and Sirius immediately became alert.

Harry hurriedly explained, "No, no. I just got the textbook he used at Hogwarts, and he wrote a lot of spells on it, including Levicorpus…"

Lupin and Sirius laughed.

"Yeah, those spells were popular for a while… It's nothing. And we've never heard of this person either."

Harry was a little disappointed.

"Are you sure it isn't my dad?"

Harry secretly glanced at Darren.

"Absolutely not. James was pure-blood, and he would never like being called Prince."

Harry fell silent.

At that moment, he suddenly heard Ginny scream.

It was Tonks hugging Darren.

She was almost pressed against him.

"I really like you, give me a chance, okay?"

Tonks said in a tearful voice.

Harry saw Darren's stunned expression.

He looked completely shocked.

Held tightly by Tonks, he didn't react for a long time.

It wasn't until Lupin and the others rushed over and pulled Tonks away that he came back to his senses.

"I… I can't…"

He hurried to refuse.

But Tonks was drunk.

She cried uncontrollably.

Mrs. Weasley became furious.

She dragged Tonks outside.

Everyone could still hear Tonks's hysterical voice:

"A war is coming, and if I die without even confessing, what's the point!"

Then came Mrs. Weasley's comforting voice.

"Maybe we'll still live…"

"Do you really think that's possible? So many have died already. Ten survive one at best… How can war not take lives?"

Harry felt his throat tighten.

He looked at Darren.

Darren's eyes were slightly red.

Helpless.

Wasn't that the truth of war?

"Go back to sleep."

Finally, Darren said quietly.

He walked out of the room…

---

As for the Tonks incident, after Darren helped her sober up, she slipped away.

She felt too embarrassed.

It was likely she wouldn't appear here for a long time.

But no one treated it as a joke.

Because what she said was true.

War.

Always meant death.

---

The next day, Christmas washed away the sorrow Tonks had brought.

Darren woke up to a room full of gifts.

Harry gave him a bag of gold Galleons, and Hermione and Ginny gave him two robes embroidered with handsome dragons.

The dragons even raised their heads to the sky from time to time.

Mrs. Weasley, as always, gave him a sweater and a large piece of fudge.

Snape sent him a bottle of Felix Felicis, about a pint.

There were many other scattered gifts as well.

Darren waved his wand and sent everything to Peggy to tidy up.

After he finished organizing, he looked at Ron.

No surprise.

Ron received a necklace called My Sweetheart.

Romilda seemed to want him to wear it around his neck.

Ron stared at the necklace in horror.

He told Darren he would rather go to the guillotine than wear something like that.

"Wait, Darren, did you drop this?"

Ron suddenly noticed a gift on the floor and asked curiously.

Darren picked it up.

It was addressed to Harry.

From: Lini.

"Oh my God, Harry, look, Lini sent you something!"

Ron exclaimed excitedly.

He kept nudging Harry.

Harry looked at the gift in confusion.

"Open it and see!"
