OLA'S POV
As the governor and the fair skinned lady (who is apparently his daughter) entered the car, i couldn't help but turn to look at her companion. My eyes nearly fell off, my whole body shook and I just froze for a while. I blinked to make sure i wasn't dreaming, no i wasn't. That familiar frown that I was accustomed to, that handsome devilish face, the fierce brown eyes, the tattoos...Aron?
"A..aron?" I whispered and covered my mouth
Tunde looked at me worriedly
"Are you okay?"
"Yes mind your business" i snapped
Aron was still leaning on the wall looking at the governor's car. He didn't even look at me.
I thought he was dead or in hiding, but here he was walking around like a normal person. How? When? Many thoughts flew across my mind, i need to talk to him but with Romeo Tunde and Amir over here, i couldn't risk that. I just don't understand what's going on, i was feeling really confused right now. Was Aron working as a spy? If so how come he didn't even look at me or acknowledge me. I just pray that these two (Amir and Tunde) would leave so i could talk to him.
As if the holy purple deity were hearing my thoughts, Tunde suddenly clutched his tummy and frowned at Amir and I
"What's wrong?" Amir asked
"I'm feeling very hungry, i couldn't eat this morning cause of Mrs. Luna's murder" he said as his tummy grumbled
An idea popped in my head and i smiled
"I saw a local food joint along the road when we were driving in here, it's not that far from here"
"You're an angel, i have some money with me. Let me just buy some rice" Tunde smiled as he stood up
"Okay be back quick before the governor comes out" Amir said
I need to get rid of this guy
"I don't think it's safe to let Tunde go alone with all these attacks and killings going on, i suggest you go with him" i said
"Right. I really don't want to die early, this purple terrorists scare me" Tunde said like the weakling he is
"Fine. But what about the governor?" Amir hesitated
"Don't I'll explain everything to him if you don't get back in time" i smiled
He finally agreed and they both walked out of the compound. I smiled, with pounding hearts and weak kneels I slowly walked over to my boyfriend
Don't cry, please don't scream. I whispered to my mind. I really wanted to cry, i thought I'd lost him but here he was
"Babe" i gently touched his shoulder
He flinched, i don't think he noticed my presence cause his whole attention was on the car that the fair lady went into. He looked at me with a blank and confused expression, no hug, not even a hint of recognition on his face.
"Aron, i thought you were dead. The clan's worried sick about you, we all thought you died from the crash from the roof top. Mon'itei is so angry...." I paused when I realised tears were now coming out (i hardly cry)"babe I was...i was actually scared" i quickly hugged him
"Excuse me? Who are you and how do you know my name?" He looked at me with shocked eyes "who's this mon'itei or whatever you speak of" he asked as he pulled away from me
I almost lost my mind, i just stared at him in shock. What kind of sick joke was this??! Why the hell is he pretending? Or was I talking to the wrong Aron?!
"What the hell do you mean?! Don't you remember me?! I'm your freaking girlfriend that you left behind at the camp! And how can you not remember your monster of a father?!! Stop pretending and start explaining why the hell you hid from the clan?! And what are you doing with the governor's daughter?!" I spat out angrily
I couldn't stop the emotions flowing through me, anger, confusion, jealousy, betrayal and so on. I wanted an answer and he was going to give it to me right now whether he likes it or not
"I'm sorry but I don't know you or anything you just said" he said with a look of sincerity
My knees wumbled and I almost tipped over from shock
"You don't remember the clan..." I trailed off, then it slowly hit me "you've lost your memory"
That fall from the official building, of course. I scanned his confused face that I so wanted to kiss, there were some bruises and signs that the accident must have really affected him. But how did he end up with the governor's daughter?
"Aron I..." I was interrupted by the opening of the car door
I turned to see the fair lady angrily getting out of the car but no sign of the governor. She walked over to us totally ignoring me
"Aron let's get inside" she said hurriedly
"Are you okay?" He moved closer to her still ignoring my presence
"I don't know" she said sadly
I watched as my fucking boyfriend held her hand and they both walked into the house without even sparing me a glance. My beautiful face scruched in nothing but pure hatred, jealousy, anger and confusion.
"She even knows his name" i muttered bitterly
I was really confused but I was on a mission and I need to stay focused. On the bright side, I've gotten some info for great leader. I now know the governor has one important person in his life (his stupid daughter) and that Aron is alive with memory loss. I looked sadly at the front door and almost cried
"I need to let mon'itei know about this update" i said and walked over to the car
The governor was still sitting in the car with a very frustrated face. Geez guess his daughter isn't on good terms with him.
"Where's Amir?" He asked without looking at me
"Um he went to get something, he'll be back soon" i explained
As if the great purple diety heard me, Amir and Tunde soon walked into the compound. Tunde was beaming with an oily smile, guess he had a nice meal
We all got into the car and soon drove off, with my mind still on Aron
