Chapter 4 - [4]: Skill Levels

At night, after bidding farewell to the boss and his wife, Akira changed back into his uniform, slung his school bag over his shoulder, and returned home.

As soon as he took off his outdoor shoes, Akira dropped his school bag and rushed to the living room sofa, collapsing onto it.

Although today's part-time work was exhausting, compared to the experience he gained, it was hardly worth mentioning.

Akira opened his skill panel.

"Cooking Lv4: 5/100"

"Mastery: Can't have your cake and eat it too? I want both!"

"Reading Lv4: 57/100"

"Mastery: You can experience all sorts of fantastical things through books."

"Social Lv2: 35/100"

"Beginner: Good interpersonal skills are a prerequisite for relationships."

...

Akira looked at his panel and mused, "Is there a possibility, just a possibility..."

"Is my system hinting and urging me to fall in love?"

"Right! It must be!"

"Do adults really have to fall in love?"

"Adult relationships aren't simple, okay!"

However, this also aligned with Akira's expectations. Wasn't he working so hard to make himself better?

During today's part-time work, Akira deduced some information about the experience system by observing the growth of his system's experience.

First, the system's leveling system:

The system assigns levels to skills, ranging from Lv1 to Lv10.

Skills at Lv1 have no evaluation, and the proficiency is just a basic understanding.

From Lv2 onwards, skill proficiency receives system evaluations, from Lv2 to Lv8: Beginner, Novice, Mastery, Minor Accomplishment, Proficient, Expert, and Peak.

Lv9 is a hurdle for skills; at this stage, in addition to requiring a large amount of experience, one must also have an 'enlightenment' event within the skill domain to upgrade to Lv10, the pinnacle of skills.

Of course, that wouldn't concern him for a long time.

In Akira's opinion, Shimamoto Kota, as the owner of a restaurant that had been operating for many years, probably had a cooking level around Lv6, Proficient.

Furthermore, due to the comprehensive nature of cooking in the system, when he successfully reached Lv6, he would definitely be strong in all aspects.

In other words, he now had to at least 'freeload' the skills he needed until he reached Proficient.

The faster he acquired skills, the sooner he would finish his part-time work and achieve a certain degree of financial freedom.

Besides, he couldn't waste all his time on part-time work; he still had to spend time pursuing Juju-sama!

Akira calmed down at this thought. Seeing Sajuna Inui today was a pleasant surprise, and the feeling of seeing her also surprised him.

Under the double surprise, his mind even slowed down, and the scenes of their meeting replayed in his mind over and over again.

Sajuna Inui was simply too cute!

Akira stopped his imagination; if he kept thinking, he would turn into a pervert.

Since he had said those words today and intended to pursue Sajuna Inui, he had to make a plan.

It was a pity that the system didn't have a shop; otherwise, he might have access to overpowered items.

However, Akira didn't care; the first step was to determine the timing of the plot's development.

He couldn't let that scoundrel Gojo Wakana get his hands on his wife!

Sajuna Inui attended SakuranoMiya Girls' University, not the same university as him, which undoubtedly increased the difficulty of his pursuit and the extent of his interference.

So, he would have to rely on his part-time work at the restaurant to maintain a good relationship with Sajuna Inui.

Today was May 8th, and midterms were coming soon.

Akira checked the midterm exam schedule and found that the exam date was fast approaching—May 22nd!

Akira remembered that Gojo Wakana had taken a day off before the exam because his grandfather had fallen and gotten injured; could it have been yesterday?

According to the plot, Gojo Wakana would create a perfect cosplay outfit within two weeks, amidst a misunderstanding with Kitagawa Marin.

This was an opportunity for the two of them to grow closer.

And this was also the time to determine Sajuna Inui's actions. Sajuna Inui decided to follow Kitagawa Marin and Gojo Wakana after seeing Kitagawa's cosplay photos online, eventually arriving at Gojo Dolls in the rain.

What he needed to do was to make them meet earlier!

This way, there wouldn't be any subsequent accidents!

Akira sorted out his thoughts, dozed off for a bit, and then checked the time on his phone.

It was almost ten o'clock. Akira opened Twitter, found the "Saju" account, and saw that every post on the account was overflowing with likes and comments.

"She's really popular!" Akira exclaimed, flipping through Sajuna Inui's old cosplay photos.

"Kawaii ne!"

"Next time I see her, I have to get Juju-sama's contact information!"

"Eh, shouldn't I also learn tailoring from Gojo Wakana?"

Amidst various jumbled thoughts, Akira didn't even shower, groggily crawling into bed.

His first day after transmigration ended.

---

Early the next morning, Akira was woken up by his alarm clock. He reached for his phone to turn it off, only then realizing that he had unconsciously broken out in a sweat.

Because he hadn't showered yesterday, he felt sticky all over.

Akira hurriedly got up and took a cold shower in the bathroom, which helped to cool down his inner restlessness.

Teenage boys always have inexplicable stirrings; they are full of vigor, with excess hormones that have nowhere to be released.

Akira, who had just entered adulthood, was even more so, his youthful urges stronger.

Akira finished washing up, drying his hair, and then slowly used a hairdryer to dry it before going into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for himself.

Yesterday, he learned a lot about cooking from the boss, Shimamoto Kota, at the restaurant. Thanks to the experience system, Akira quickly got the hang of it and made himself breakfast, mimicking the boss's techniques from yesterday.

He tasted it and felt that the flavor was acceptable for now.

After preparing his bento, the information in Akira's mind arrived as expected.

"Cooking Lv4: 6/100"

"Mastery: Can't have your cake and eat it too? I want both!"

Akira tidied up the kitchen and carefully put on his school uniform, standing in front of the dressing mirror to examine his appearance.

A refreshing young man, with a lean face and a body just strong enough to fill out the uniform, exuding a youthful aura.

"It's really good to live again," Akira mused.

He had previously thought that transmigrating and becoming young again would make him more seasoned and mature.

However, the various chemicals secreted by his young body were battling his thoughts: "You're still young, and being young means being a little restless, a little impulsive!"

Stepping out of the house, the gentle May breeze brushed across his face, lifting the hair from his forehead. The morning sun was so warm that Akira's eyes narrowed.

As usual, he didn't take the train but jogged to school, taking the opportunity to gain some experience for his physique. Along the way, he saw several university students from the same school wearing the same uniform.

In this chaotic world, how many people were forced to drift within it, but at this moment, Akira only felt a sense of beauty.
