Chapter 08: Batgirl Barbara's Thought of a Job

Jiang Li rarely woke up early this morning. He didn't know why, but he had a strange feeling in his heart, as if something terrible was being born because of him.
So he decided to go out for a walk. Jiang Li looked at the Gotham City sky; it was still overcast, just like it was during the day. He was used to it.
It was a real pity he didn't get to sign in on Scarecrow last time. Otherwise, he might have gained another magical ability.

Suddenly, Jiang Li heard a voice full of teasing. Jiang Li followed the sound and saw a woman in a revealing, bunny-girl-like outfit appear in his field of vision.
At first, Jiang Li didn't recognize who the woman was. He just felt she looked very familiar. It was just that bunny girl outfits like hers could be seen everywhere in places like red-light district casinos.

In the next second, the owner of the sharp cry appeared. Batgirl, dressed in a bat-themed suit, appeared before Jiang Li's eyes. Only then did he realize it was his university classmate, Barbara.

The cold touch of the gun finally let White Rabbit know it was a real one, but she wasn't scared at all. She smiled and reached out a finger to playfully lift Jiang Li's chin.
"What a heartless little man. I'll remember you."
"Bye~" As soon as her voice fell, White Rabbit turned into a puff of white smoke and disappeared from Jiang Li's sight.
Seeing White Rabbit escape, Barbara stomped her foot hard, huffing, "Damn you, White Rabbit! I'll definitely catch you next time!"
Then Barbara trotted in front of Jiang Li. "Sir, are you okay?"
While asking, Barbara circled him, scanning every part of Jiang Li's body, until she saw the bright red lip print on his face.
Barbara's expression immediately turned sour. She took a handkerchief from her utility belt and wiped Jiang Li's face.
*I haven't even kissed him, and someone else beat me to it!*
Then Barbara realized that she was currently Batgirl, not Barbara. This was Batgirl and Jiang Li's "first meeting."
Being so intimate at a first meeting would inevitably make people suspicious.
"Ahem, it's good that you're okay." Barbara forced a smile and quickly put the handkerchief away.
Suddenly, Barbara realized that she was a famous figure now, too. It might be a good choice to take the lead in matters of love.

Jiang Li also happened to be Chinese-American, so she was slipping in her own agenda to influence Jiang Li. If she succeeded, then the prince would marry the princess.
But Barbara's words were just short of naming the person. Her hint had become obvious.
But who would have thought that in the next second, Jiang Li would take his phone out of his pocket and play the recording he had just taken of Barbara.
He smiled at Barbara and said, "Nice acting, Little Ba."
