[Achievements: [Crocodile Tears], [Silver Tongue], [Bluffed It], [Thrown into the Game], [Honeyed Words, Hidden Fangs], [Lie Made Real]]

[Remaining Lie Points: 10,187]

"Turns out crime really does pay," Sho murmured, glancing at the rapidly growing count of [Lie Points]. It was the first time he'd seen the number hit five digits.

As the name implied, Lie Points allowed him to manifest anything he could imagine, except, crucially, not to directly enhance himself. He couldn't, for example, instantly give himself an Ōtsutsuki bloodline, but he could manifest a method to awaken one.

Earning Lie Points depended on getting people to believe his lies, and stirring powerful emotional reactions in the process.

The system judged how many points he received based on several factors. First was the quality of deception, reflected in his unlocked achievements:

[Crocodile Tears], [Silver Tongue], [Bluffed It], these were older tricks he'd used before.

[Thrown into the Game], [Honeyed Words, Hidden Fangs], and [Lie Made Real], these were all earned during his manipulation of Orochimaru.

Naturally, the latter were on a whole different level, and the points rewarded were far greater.

Next came the quality and quantity of the targets deceived. Tricking a Genin wasn't the same as tricking Orochimaru, the latter brought exponentially more points.

Finally, how deeply the target believed the lie, and how intensely they reacted emotionally, determined the final reward.

When Sho first arrived in this world and activated the system, the newbie pack gave him a measly 100 Lie Points.

His early tests taught him that 1 point could manifest a high-quality kunai, a fingernail-sized chakra-conducting metal shard, or a standard-issue explosive tag with underwhelming power.

100 points was neither a lot nor a little, but nowhere near enough to create high-level jutsu, let alone a Kekkei Genkai. It was, frankly, underwhelming.

So, once he assessed how dire his situation was, Sho made a decision,

Target Orochimaru.

His greatest advantage wasn't that handful of points, it was his knowledge of the world.

At this point in time, after surviving two ninja wars, Orochimaru's craving for truth, and his terror of death, had already turned the pursuit of immortality into his deepest obsession.

It was the same obsession that, even when his body was crumbling, made him wait for Sasuke's return so he could seize that vessel.

The same obsession that Kabuto, with just one line, used to force Orochimaru into compromise:

"If you don't transfer bodies now, you'll lose everything. Is that acceptable?"

For Orochimaru, losing everything was a greater fear than missing out on the Sharingan.

What he wanted wasn't immortality or the Sharingan. What he wanted… was everything. Every jutsu, every truth the world had to offer.

And to reach that goal, he had to keep living, and he needed a stronger bloodline to do it.

So Sho gave him what he wanted:

A forged ancient scroll, two parts fake, eight parts truth, filled with tantalizing secrets… complete with a fake sealing script.

Of course, the back of the scroll was blank, Orochimaru would never be able to "break the seal" because Sho hadn't written that part yet.

Or more precisely, he had, but he had no intention of letting Orochimaru see it now.

From beginning to end, Orochimaru only saw what Sho wanted him to see.

Even the fact that Orochimaru was allowed to take the scroll and the "corpse" with him had been planned, so Sho could guide him later with further "revelations."

The smarter and more arrogant someone was, the more they believed in their own judgment.

The whole deception cost only 30 Lie Points. Most of that went into simulating the sealing technique. Aging the scroll used just 1 point, and the so-called "secrets" were entirely made up.

The remaining 70 points were used to manifest an empty shell, a flawless-looking, but utterly hollow corpse, the supposed body of an Ōtsutsuki, as Orochimaru now believed.

The scroll's contents and that body dealt a massive blow to Orochimaru's worldview, and the emotional shock caused Sho's Lie Points to skyrocket.

All the Lie Points Sho gained afterward were funneled back into upgrading that body, over 10,000 in total, used to retrofit it with genuine Ōtsutsuki-compatible organs.

Granted, the body came not from the alien Ōtsutsuki Clan, but from the lunar branch of the Ōtsutsuki, those residing on the Moon.

Real Ōtsutsuki biology, like that of the Sage of Six Paths, was already a completely different species compared to the people of the ninja world.

"One thing's for sure, ten thousand points still isn't enough to create a genuine Ōtsutsuki vessel," Sho muttered.

He glanced again at the [Ōtsutsuki Bloodline: 5%] entry, eyes flashing.

"When I designed the bloodline template, I used Ōtsutsuki Toneri as the benchmark."

"Toneri possesses the purest Ōtsutsuki lineage. Even Urashiki referred to him as 'kin,' instead of calling him a 'lesser creature' like he did with Naruto and Sasuke."

"Other than Kaguya herself, no one in the ninja world likely surpasses his purity."

"To match that level was already my limit. Besides, the corpse I made was tailored to match my physique, so the organs embedded into my body could perfectly integrate and trigger a complete metamorphosis."

The only question now… was how far that transformation had gone.

With that, Sho stepped out of bed and walked into the next room.

Time passed quickly. The rain had stopped. Dawn broke, scattering the last shadows of night and illuminating the dewy grass outside.

Konoha at daybreak was still silent, especially within the Hyuga Clan, where tradition and hierarchy reigned.

But then,

"Hahaha! It's the perfect time to bloom with youth!"

That wild laugh shattered the clan's morning tranquility.

The Hyuga guards grimaced as they turned toward the source of the noise… and saw a green blur streaking toward them.

He had bowl-cut hair, thick black eyebrows, a red scarf around his neck, and bandages wrapped around his fists. His forehead protector was tied around his waist.

He was wearing a bright green skintight jumpsuit and charging forward on his hands, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Only one man in all of Konoha could be this eccentric,

Chūnin of Konoha: Might Guy.
