EMILY'S POV
I wake up with a splitting headache and look around "ugh! where am i?", immediately those words came out of my mouth i regretted it , i started coughing rapidly , my throat was so dry even the cough was dry . A nurse rushed in and handed me a glass of water then i downed it in seconds "more?" she asked "yes please" still very thirsty, she ran out and seconds later was back with another glass of water and i downed it in seconds too "feeling better?"she asked "yes thank you. Please how did i end up here?" i asked because one minute i was in a car that plunged into a river the next minute i'm on a hospital bed. "Your car lost control , veered off the road and went straight into the river, but luckily some guys saved you and the taxi driver" she replied and that's when memories started rushing back to me , the handsome guy i saw running to help and i could remember him helping me as i was throwing up all the water i took in before losing consciousness again."Hey....are you okay?"the nurse asked after she got no reply from me, "yes sorry,memories just rushed in. The guys who brought me in are they still here?" i asked sounding hopeful "no they left immediately after filling a police file on how you had the accident .Do you have any relative close by? where were you headed to?"the nurse asked "yhhh my grandma lives at Willowdale Village, i was on my way to meet her" i said thinking about poor grandma and my parents they must be worried sick."Alright give me some minutes we need to get your details", the nurse said while giving me a warm smile standing up to leave ,"sorry,please how is the taxi driver ?" i asked out of concern "well he's still unconscious he didn't get out of the river on time , but he'll be fine hopefully" she replied with a warm smile. Few minutes later she came back with some papers that required me to fill in which i did and thereafter i used the hospital's phone to call my parents to let them know i'm okay. "Hello?" i heard my mum's voice on the call,"hey mum, it's me Emily", i said ,"oh my God Emmy", my mum broke out in a little sob i could hear my dad asking what the matter is and my mum told him it's me "Emmy what happened? grandma said you didn't arrive last night , are you okay? we tried reaching you on your phone but it kept on going to voice mails we were about heading to the station to file a missing person report ", my dad said taking the phone from my mum since my mum was still sobbing in happiness or sorrow? i don't know which..."Dad i'm okay the car just lost it's control and plunged into the river but thankfully i was saved by some strangers and taken to a hospital, but trust me i'm fine ok?"my mum broke into more sobs, i feel so bad "hey mum i'm ok i promise" i said reassuring her, "we'll come and get you alright?" my dad replied."No dad there's no need for that honestly i'm perfectly ok , remember grandma needs to be taken care of right? i'll be discharged soon and i'll contuinue the journey to her house alright? i'm okay i promise" i replied "oh my Emmy i'm so sorry we weren't there to protect you" my mum spoke in tears "mum it's fine please stop crying ok?".The nurse came out to hand me the discharge papers to sign "alright i gotta go now once i get to grandma's house i'll call ok?, plus i also need to get new gadgets and cloths since everything is at the bottom of the river ,i love you!" i said to them"alright Emmy, we love you "and i hanged up.
Halting a new cab i got into it and we start the new journey ahead ,getting to grandama's house from here won't take time just a 2 hour journey but before i get there i'll need to go shopping for the things i lost.Firstly the bank to retrieve my account .
"Finally i'm done! thank goodness shopping drains me " i exclaimed in joy feeling achieved i retrieved my account, bought my gadgets and bought some clothes.Now entering the remote village WILLOWDALE VILLAGE .One could mistake the village for having no residents that's how empty the village is. I don't still know why grandma didn't want to move away ,the village give me the chills .We eventually arrive at grandma's house, the house stands alone at the edge of a winding dirt path, surrounded by rolling hills and dense foilage.It's weathered wooden facade blends seamlessly, into the natural landscape as if grown from the earth itself. Smoke drifts lazily from the chimney , carrying the scent of wood smoke and kitchen fires and my favourite meal. A wooden door adorned with intricate carvings creaks softly as grandma opens it "Oh my dear Emmy!" she envelops me with her warm hug, "come in dear "she invites me in . Inside the house is warm and cozy, lit by the soft glow of candles and a fireplace . The air is thick with the scent of old wood and memories from my childhood. Once i was settled in grandma gave me a full inspection"now look at you my poor Emmy, i heard about your accident, i was so worried , i hope you're ok?, oh you look so thin and hungry doesn't sarah feed you well?, i'll call her and give her a long scolding ".
"Oh no grandma i'm perfectly fine alright , i'm here to care for you ,you're the ill one here right?, just leave everything to me" i said warmly, "oh my Emmy is now a grown beautiful woman come give grandma a hug" we hugged again ,i miss grandma its been so long i last saw her "i made your favoriute let me dish it out for you "she said standing up to go to the kitchen. We ate and did some catching up and also spoke to my parents on call telling them i got to grandma's house safely and grandma also scolded my mum on my weight. I went into my bedroom and i remembered it to be just the way i left it .A plush hand-carved wooden bed frame stands at the room center , dressed in crips , white linens , and plush blankets . The bed looks inviting , piled high with pillows in soft , muted hues that seem to glow in the fading light . Soon i take my bath for the night and get ready to fall asleep and have the same dream that has been occuring for the past one year now .A WOLF.
TYLER'S POV
"Hey , i'm sorry man for dragging you into my shit , 2 days journey ended up being shit" i said to mason while driving , "Hey it isn't shit and you didn't drag me to anything ok? i wanted this, and look at the bright side you saved your mate from dieing today" mason said trying to make me feel better "no there's no bright side here i feel like it would've been better if she had died" i said feeling hopless "The next village we see we would stay there for the night, we would continue the journey after resting ,now i see that it's not so bad to use our superspeed anyway" i said to mason trying to lift up the gloomy atmosphere "yh that's the tyler i know" mason said with a smile and i returned with a fake smile . Soon we reached an entrance to a village called WILLOWDALE VILLAGE "do you think anyone leaves here? it looks quite empty" mason asked while i tried to sniff out some human scents "yhhh i could smell some humans, we'll find a motel to stay for the night" i replied , mason looked at me with astonishment, "what?", i asked "bro how do you sniff out from a mile away? i mean i could sniff them out too but like in a close distance" mason replied and with a smug look i replied, "that's the benefit of being a hybrid " and he rolled his eyes at my arrogance . Soon we found a motel, made payment, got some food and went upstairs to our rooms. "Goodnight bro , don't let tonight break you and just give it a shot i mean what's the worst that can happen?" mason asked right when we were about to part ways to go to our seperate rooms ,"well mason the worst that could happen is killing and ripping my mate's body limb by limb while fucking her brains out because my beast decided to spring out "i said lookng at him dead in the eyes "that's dark"mason said "goodnight mason " with that i entered into my room , took my bath and fell on the bed feeling exhausted the rescuing of my mate and the taxi driver drained a lot from me , i'm not so good in rivers yet . Soon i drifted off to sleep and the dream that has been occuring for the past 1 year now begins . MY MATE.
