Chapter 8 - Witty remarks and power

Those who crave power and hold power are always busy. -- (A stunning

shot)

The true will of Heaven is merely the unpredictable and fickle nature of

those in power. — (A stunning shot)

A person with an excessive and intense desire for power is incapable of

sharing it with others. — (Sad Little Arrow)In officialdom, every action is a statement, and one must be extremely

careful.

For example, if your superior, A, is opposed to B, and you accidentally

have dinner with C, who belongs to B's faction, you might lose your job

the very next day. Even if the reaction isn't that strong and nothing

happens, and your stance doesn't change, how others view you will

completely change. — (Sad Little Arrow)

A person who thrives in officialdom but doesn't even understand the

principle of "avoiding suspicion in situations involving melons or plum

trees" should have long ago gone back to the countryside to farm and

live off their grandmother. — (Sad Little Arrow)

Most politicians, before they come to power, must be radical; otherwise,

how can they gain the support of radical factions? Once they are in

power, they will be pragmatic and balanced in everything they do. Being

too extreme or radical will only lead to the loss of their position. — (Sad

Little Arrow)

Different people have different kinds of energy. Some people have

strong energy, some have weak energy, some have abundant energy,

some have low energy, and some have stagnant energy or even

exhausted energy.

A person of great vitality will attract auspicious energy from the east.

The dying man is furious. — (Sad Little Arrow)

With power, you can have many conveniences, much strength, and

many things that others do not have or cannot have.

Without power, no matter how capable you are, what can you

accomplish? If you aspire to great things, but decades of trivial matters

have dulled your ambition, what ambition do you have left to achieve

great things, and what great things are left to accomplish? — (Young

Cold-Blooded)

Someone appreciates you and wants to give you great power—to

refuse is tantamount to killing your own good fortune, severing your

own happiness, and ultimately associating with misfortune. —(Young

Cold-Blooded)

No one can have power without a man.

However, if I were to obtain this power by overcoming numerous

difficulties and obstacles, I would be very happy. In other words, power

is merely a hypothetical goal for me. But I value the process more than

the goal itself.Because I know that life is mostly just a process; the so-called goal is

not necessarily achievable, nor is it something everyone can achieve.

Even if it is achieved, one may not be satisfied and may change their

goals. — (Young Cold-Blooded)

Power, to me, is nothing more than a tiger in the forest, but what I want

is the whole forest. — (Young Cold-Blooded)

Power that must be bestowed by others is neither true power nor a

force that truly belongs to oneself. — (Young Cold-Blooded)

When a person's desires are excessive and their power is too great, they

are prone to madness. — (Young Cold-Blooded)

Power can compel others to be loyal to only him.

Absolute power can buy absolute loyalty.

But power corrupts.

The greater the power, the more thoroughly one is corrupted. — (Young

Iron Hand)

There are some things in this world that we simply cannot control.

Some people are born with the ability to make decisions for others.

They even decide life and death for others.

Because they have the right.

Power usually comes from strength. — (Drawing a sword in anger)
