Chapter 176 - Chapter 175 Daddy, Do You Know How To Sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star?

Mai Ge chose a brown rattan recliner that cost five gold coins. It had curved metal legs and looked quite comfortable, plus it wasn't expensive.

"Gold coins have been automatically deducted. Goods can be picked up in five minutes. Does the host wish to specify a delivery address?" the system's voice announced.

"Just send it directly to the balcony. Let me know when it's almost here." Mai Ge looked at Amy, who was squatting to the side competing with the Ugly Duckling to see who could quack the loudest, and said with a smile. It would be a shame to miss such an opportunity to show the little one magic tricks.

On an early autumn night, a cool breeze blows, bringing a refreshing feeling that is particularly comforting.

"Daddy, come here quickly! I want to have a contest with the Ugly Duckling to see who can imitate a duck's quack better. Can you be our referee?" Amy beckoned to Mai Ge.

"Learn to quack like a duck?" Mai Ge was speechless. Making a kitten quack like a duck? What was this all about? He couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time. "Little Amy, the Ugly Duckling might not be an ordinary duck."

"Meow meow!" The Ugly Duckling nodded in deep agreement.

"Yes, I know it's not an ordinary duck." Amy nodded, looking at the Ugly Duckling seriously, "You're a particularly ugly duckling."

"Meow~" The Ugly Duckling meowed pitifully, looking utterly dejected.

Mai Ge smiled and shook his head. Amy's obsession with the Ugly Duckling was too deep, and it seemed that there was no way to change her mind in a short time. Instead, he asked with some curiosity, "Then why are you having a competition? How do you plan to compete?"

"I think even though the Ugly Duckling is ugly, if it doesn't know how to quack, it won't be able to communicate with other ducks and will definitely be disliked. So I'm going to teach it to quack." Amy looked at the Ugly Duckling lying on the ground with a helpless expression, and hooked its chin with her little finger, saying seriously, "Ugly Duckling, learn properly from me. If you can't learn, you won't eat tomorrow."

"Meow!" Hearing there was no food, the Ugly Duckling perked up immediately, looking up at Amy intently.

"Quack quack quack..." Amy opened her mouth and called out, quite similarly.

"Meow meow meow..." the Ugly Duckling followed suit.

"No, it's 'quack quack quack,' not 'meow meow meow!'" Amy stamped her foot and corrected seriously.

"Meow meow meow~" The Ugly Duckling's confidence immediately waned.

"No, it's quack quack quack! You're so stupid."

"Meow meow....meow."

"Ugly duckling, if you keep doing this, I'll set you on fire! One last time, quack! quack! quack!"

"Meow...meow...meow quack..."

"Alright, you can stay by yourself from now on. No other ducklings will be your friends." Amy patted the Ugly Duckling's head, deciding to give up. She looked up at Mai Ge with some worry and said, "Daddy, the Ugly Duckling is so stupid, what will happen when it grows up? I'm not comfortable letting it fly away. So.....so..."

"Let's keep it for now." Mai Ge looked at Amy, who was swallowing hard as she spoke. He knew what she was going to say without her having to say it. He smiled and patted Amy's head. The duck-quacking contest was over before it even started, ending in the Ugly Duckling's complete defeat.

"The recliner is complete and ready for delivery. Host, would you like to pick it up now?" the system's voice suddenly announced.

"Pick it up here in thirty seconds." Mai Ge pointed to the side with his right hand, then smiled at Amy and said, "Amy, how about Daddy performs a magic trick for you?"

"Magic trick? Not magic?" Amy's eyes lit up, and she asked, a little puzzled.

"Yes, it's something similar to magic, just as wondrous." Mai Ge nodded.

"Okay, okay! Little Amy wants to see." Little Amy clapped her little hands, looking at Mai Ge with anticipation.

"If we want to see the stars, we definitely need a chair, right? Preferably one we can lie down in comfortably." Mai Ge said with a smile.

"Yes." Amy nodded.

"Look here, don't blink." Mai Ge pointed to the empty space on his right, waved his hands in front of her as if to make a gesture, silently counted to thirty, and shouted, "Transform!"

Amy stared wide-eyed, but three seconds passed, and the spot remained empty.

Mai Ge's hand was still raised in mid-air as he stared awkwardly at the empty space in front of him. What the hell was going on?! He hadn't managed to conjure anything!

"Meow!" The Ugly Duckling called out behind him. Amy looked up and her eyes lit up with delight. "Daddy, you really conjured up a chair! It's right behind you!"

"Hmm?" Mai Ge turned around, and sure enough, a large brown recliner was right behind him, with rounded legs. The chair was still swaying slightly, and the Ugly Duckling was pawing at the legs, trying to climb up.

"Sorry, the item was too large, and the positioning was off by one meter. This system will provide you with more accurate service next time." The system's voice sounded, in a standard customer service tone.

Although he was internally cursing, but Mai Ge still had to smile. He felt the system was definitely doing it on purpose. Normally, clothes could be directly placed on the wardrobe shelf, but now the error rate on flat ground was a meter! It seemed the system was starting to silently rebel.

"Yes, actually I did it on purpose." Mai Ge nodded with a smile. He was going to keep up the act, even if it meant kneeling down. He reached out and nudged the recliner, which immediately began to rock back and forth with even movements. It seemed it had done a good job of maintaining balance.

The Ugly Duckling, who was clinging to the chair leg and trying to climb up, was shaken and rolled away. It rolled twice before stopping, looked up and around, looking bewildered, as if it didn't know what had happened.

"Wow, Daddy is so amazing! When Amy learns magic, I want to be just as amazing as Daddy." Amy looked up at Mai Ge, her little face full of admiration.

"Little Amy will be even more amazing than Daddy." Mai Ge smiled and patted Amy's hair. Feeling Amy's admiring gaze, he felt extremely satisfied. Sure enough, his daughter was the most sensible.

"Come on, let's look at the stars." Mai Ge lay down on the recliner, leaving a small space next to him just big enough for Amy to lie down.

"Okay." Amy nodded her little head, climbed up with some difficulty on her short legs, and jumped straight into Mai Ge's arms, giggling.

"Look, the stars are so beautiful tonight." Mai Ge said with a smile, gently embracing Amy as the recliner rocked slightly, pointing to the starry sky.

The sky was cloudless, devoid of the city's dazzling neon lights. The deep blue starry sky was exceptionally profound, and the stars scattered throughout it were even brighter and more dazzling. Mai Ge hadn't seen such a beautiful starry sky in many years.

"Daddy, do you know how to sing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'?" Amy suddenly looked up at Mai Ge and asked.
