Chapter 183 - Chapter 182 I'll Let You Have Two Bowls Today!

"Ugly Duckling, wake up, we're here! If you don't wake up, I'm going to set you on fire!" Amy walked up, reached out and pinched the Ugly Duckling's chin, threateningly whispering.

"Meow!" The Ugly Duckling's eyes widened in surprise, and it almost jumped out of Mai Ge's arms. Its gaze quickly focused on Amy, and it shook its head to indicate that it was awake.

"Amy, hold it." Mai Ge smiled and handed the Ugly Duckling to Amy. Then he took the thermos and the Yang Zhou Fried Rice hanging on the handlebars. He glanced at his watch. It would take almost half an hour to walk from the restaurant to the entrance of Chaos Academy, but today it only took five minutes. The increased speed brought efficiency.

"The Yang Zhou Fried Rice is at the perfect temperature, but this tofu pudding..." Mai Ge glanced at the thermos in his hand. It had probably completely fallen apart during that intense ride, but it shouldn't affect the taste too much. Anyway, he still had to collect the money.

"But this bicycle would be a good choice for short distance food delivery." Mai Ge raised an eyebrow, imagining riders in yellow and green vests pedaling their bicycles through the streets and alleys to deliver food, and his expression suddenly became a little strange.

For those who live further away, perhaps some down on their luck knights could be hired as deliverymen to deliver food on horseback, thus establishing a complete food delivery network.

"Forget about that for now, the restaurant is busy enough right now." Mai Ge smiled and shook his head, taking Amy's little hand and saying, "Let's go to class." They walked towards the school gate.

"No outsiders are allowed in the academy." The orc raised his hand to signal Mai Ge to stop, his expression wary. Last time, this guy somehow managed to sneak into the school, so this time they had to keep a close eye on him and not let him in.

"Daddy, let's sneak in through the same hole we used to go through." Amy glanced at the orc with a hint of fear, tugged at Mai Ge's sleeve, and whispered. She had been chased away by this orc a few times before, and she was still a little traumatized by him.

"Children who are not old enough cannot go to school. This little girl is too young." The old man glanced at Amy and shook his head, already mentally ruling out the possibility of the two of them entering the school. He added at the end, "Also, pets are not allowed on campus. This is a rule set by the principal."

Mai Ge gently placed his hand on Amy's head to reassure her, then pulled a small green card from his pocket and handed it to the orc, smiling as he said, "I'm bringing my child to school. Today is her first day. Teacher Crassus said we can use this to enter and exit the school. I wonder which direction the Magic Academy is in?"

"Teacher Crassus?" Both the orc and the old man looked puzzled, unable to recall that the school had such a teacher. When they took the green card and looked at it, their expressions changed drastically.

The card only had the word "Pass" written on it in large letter, and a name in the lower right corner: Norvan.

It's a very simple card, but because of the name in the bottom right corner, it becomes anything but simple.

The two suddenly remembered the white-bearded old man who had been calling out "Norvan, you little brat..." at the school gate yesterday noon. He had also come to school early this morning. They remembered that when he left yesterday, the principal had given him a green pass, but they never expected that it would end up in Mai Ge's hands.

"This person's identity is definitely not simple!" This was the first thought that flashed through their minds, and their gazes towards Mai Ge and Amy immediately changed.

Although the principal is usually amiable at school, but everyone knows that in Chaos City, he is the only one who dares to challenge and confront the City Lord and the Lord of the Gray Temple. Yesterday, the old man treated him like an elder to a junior.

"The Magic Academy is just to the left after you enter the school gate. Keep your pass safe. You can send your child in now." The orc said to Mai Ge with a big smile, handing the pass back to him. His attitude was completely different from before. He didn't seem to be trying to curry favor with him much, it felt more like they were one of their own.

"Huh? Can we go through the main gate today?" Amy's eyes lit up, and a surprised smile appeared on her little face. She used to sneak into the school through that little hole every time, and she always envied the older brothers and sisters who could walk into the school through the main gate. She never thought that she could do it today.

"Okay, thank you." Mai Ge put away the pass, smiled and nodded, then took Amy's little hand to go inside.

"Sorry, pets are not allowed in Chaos Academy." The orc blocked their way again, looking at the Ugly Duckling in Amy's arms.

"That pass." Mai Ge flipped the green card in his hand. Judging from their expressions, it must have been issued by some important figure in Chaos Academy.

"The pass was issued by the principal, but the rule was also set by the principal. The principal said that the school's rules take precedence, so your cat cannot enter the academy." The orc's expression turned serious as he spoke, neither humble nor arrogant.

Mai Ge was a little surprised by the orc's attitude of not wanting to negotiate at all. He was a very principled and law-abiding person. The owner of the card was actually the principal of Chaos Academy, and he was also an interesting person. It was rare to see a principal who would prioritize the school.

"Okay, then I hope you can help me look after my bicycle and kitten. Thank you." Mai Ge didn't press the issue. There was nothing wrong with the rules. The school was full of children. The Ugly Duckling wasn't aggressive, but it was a different story with a large dog.

"We will ensure their safety." The orc nodded solemnly, his attitude towards Mai Ge softening considerably, he was a reasonable person.

"Little Amy, put the Ugly Duckling in the basket first. It can't come to class with you, it will stay home with me and wait for you to come back." Mai Ge said to Amy.

"Okay." Amy nodded obediently. Holding the Ugly Duckling, Amy tiptoed and gently placed it in the bicycle basket. She reached out and patted the Ugly Duckling's head, earnestly instructing, "Ugly Duckling, you must be good and listen to Daddy at home."

"Let's go." Mai Ge took Amy's little hand and walked towards the school.

"Meow meow~~" The Ugly Duckling peeked out from the edge of the basket, looking pitifully at Amy's back and meowing.

"Be good, and I'll let you have two bowls of tofu pudding when I get back today, and you won't have to run." Amy took a few steps, then stopped and looked back at the Ugly Duckling.

"Meow meow!" The Ugly Duckling's eyes lit up immediately, and it nodded its little head happily.

"As expected, communication between foodies is so simple and direct." Mai Ge shook his head with a smile and led Amy inside.

"Where is the owner of this thing?" Not long after, a carriage stopped at the entrance of Chaos Academy. Haider jumped off the carriage, pointed at the bicycle, and asked the orc and the old man.
