3rd Person POV
It didn't take long for Azazel and Shuri to reach Azazel's Private Lab.
Shuri wasn't marveled by the grandiosity of Azazel's lab but was further worried.
Her eyes darted around as they passed the different security measures until she couldn't hold it and asked "Has Blake ever seen anything outside of your lab walls?" because it felt more like a prison rather than a secure lab with all the security measures and the isolation
Azazel shook his head in guilt. He wanted to be the best father for Blake but the situation didn't allow it. He wanted to take Blake outside, he wanted to do fun things like parents did with their children, he wanted to let him explore the world and find his own calling or explore his options rather than blindly getting involved in the Supernatural world just because he was born into it.
Even thought he knew Blake was bound to be pulled into the supernatural world as his father the least Azazel wanted to do was give Blake enough time to grow and let him figure out what he wanted to do which showed how much Blake had an impact on Azazel who use to be a carefree guy.
Shuri also didn't hold it against Azazel or see him in a bad light. It was actually the opposite to that, after all, she had spent the whole night talking to her husband about Blake and Azazel.
She came to understand that Azazel actually cared a lot about Blake and because of Blake's mysterious devil origin and power level, Azazel was not able to fulfill his role as the father he wanted to be.
After going through the final secure door, they entered Azazel's private lab and Shuri's eyes searched for Blake but couldn't find him and only saw equipment and machines in the lab.
She turned to Azazel with a questioning eyes and he understood and said "Blake must be in his room" and looked to the last of the lab where there was a wooden door that could be seen
When they reached the door, Shuri saw a sheet of paper stuck to the center of the door with tape and the name Blake drawn in a graffiti art with colours Black, white and red.
Shuri looked at the art and found it interesting and Azazel spoke up in a proud tone "Blake did it himself. He is quite the artist" with his chest puffed up.
She didn't mind his boasting but actually wondered how a child at the same age of Akeno could do such fine work as her daughter was still colouring picture books.
The door opened on its one as Azazel's hand reached for it and Shuri saw Blake looking at Azazel with an innocent joy on his face and spoke up in excitement "Dad! Your back!" and jumped at Azazel.
Azazel caught him with ease but to Shuri it was fast. Blake was so fast that all she saw was him opening the door and the next second he was already hugging Azazel's neck.
Shuri observed Blake as he hugged Azazel. His sharp metallic black wings were the first thing that caught her attention, gleaming under the lights of the lab.
Blake finally jumped down and looked curiously at Shuri. She walked next to Blake and kneeled down to his eye level and her gentle smile was always present.
He didn't back away when this strange lady walked next to him and looked at her with interest as this was the first time someone other than his father or Uncle Baraqiel had come to his home.
Azazel patted Blake's shoulder and said "Blake. This is Shuri, Your Uncle Baraqiel's wife"
Blake's eyes instantly gleamed in excitement as he realized that some of the tastiest food he had eaten was brought by his Uncle Baraqiel.
According to Uncle Baraqiel, most of the food he got for him was made by his wife who is currently standing in front of him.
Blake didn't shy away and walked up confidently to Shuri was was kneeled down to his eye level and said bowed just like his Uncle had taught him and introduced himself "Nice to meet you Aunty Shuri, My name is Blake Azel"
Shuri did not expect such an etiquette for a child and Azazel's nose cringed.
Azazel didn't mind if Blake had etiquette or not but Baraqiel taught him all this stuff like how to talk politely, how to introduce and stuff.
If Blake had shown any resistance to this useless knowledge, Azazel would have stopped Baraqiel but his kid quickly grasped all of it without any issue but after that they all forgot about it as Blake didn't have anyone else to talk to.
'Looks like Blake still remember all of Baraqiel's lessons' Azazel thought to himself
Shuri smiled and gently caressed Blake's cheeks. Unknowing, a small tear escaped her eye as she looked at Blake. She couldn't stop thinking about how such a child had to live an isolated life. To her, no child deserves such a life.
Blake's face frowned at the sight of the single tear and asked "Aunty, are you hurt?" to which she just shook her head while wiping the tear away and said "I'm just so happy to finally meet you Blake"
Azazel just smiled at the fact that he son was lucky to have caring people like Baraqiel and Shuri in his life.
The day passed by and Blake had totally bonded with Shuri. First Blake showed his room to Shuri where she saw plenty of Art work that didn't look like it was done by a kid which spoke to Blake's talent.
Next, Shuri went to the kitchen in the Lab and made plenty of delicious food for Blake.
Blake was having one of the best days of his life. His usual routine was spending time with his father when he comes back from work, learning something new that interested in his alone time through books or working on his art but today Aunt Shuri spent the whole day with him which he enjoyed.
The highlight of the day was breakfast, lunch and dinner. Aunt Shuri's cooking was so good.
But here they were, Blake laid down on his bed in his pajamas and Shuri was seated on his bed reading him a night story. Blake looked up to Shuri and asked "Will you visit me again Aunty?"
Shuri was taken back by his question and Azazel standing outside Blake's room door felt a pang of pain in his chest.
Blake was a smart kid and he knew Shuri would eventually leave at the end of the day but he really wanted to see and spend more time with her.
Shuri smiled and said "You'll be seeing me a lot, little Blake"
He just smiled but suddenly spoke in an understanding tone "It's fine even if you don't visit a lot Aunt Shuri, you can visit me when you're free"
Shuri paused for a moment, she knew Blake was surprisingly mature for his age and his tone right now made her understand he didn't want to be an inconvenience to her.
She spoke up in a playful scolding tone "Already trying to stop me from visiting. Am I that boring to you?" to which he just shook his head "No.. No.. Auntie. You can visit me anytime" Shuri smiled and Blake also smiled, continuing the bet time story but outside Blake's room, Azazel was walking with a straight face but slow drops of tears slid down from his eyes but it didn't fall down as his holy light instantly evaporated the tears away as a stronger resolve formed within him to finish the masking Artifact so his son could leave this cursed Lab and see the world outside.
The END
