The realisation of Wu Xie getting back his memories hit hard. Zhang immediately pulled him back and looked into his eyes as if trying to figure out if he's telling the truth or playing around.
Sensing the man's tension, Wu Xie held Zhang's face in his both hands.
"Xiao Ge, I just a few flashbacks of us together. It seemed like all was fine, until you entered some wrong door and then you never came out. And it was my mistake for sure.. I feel so." Wu Xie explained what he had remembered and Zhang immediately knew what he was talking about.
He pulled him into his arms and hugged him tight, rubbing his hairs and planting kisses on his shoulder.
"I know, I know it all. It wasn't your fault, it wasn't. Not only humans, even the gods felt bad when it happened. It was just the fate. For us to be separated for a little while before we met again." Zhang Qiling explained.
Wu Xie was overwhelmed. Why did it feel like even though he lost his both parents, the Gods had given him a partner who was above all?! Xiao Ge had said that 'humans as well the gods felt bad when we separated', what did that mean?
But Wu Xie didn't ask anymore questions and placed his head in the crook of Xiao Ge's neck. Was the shower gel, but his Xiao Ge smelled very nice. And a very familiar warmth radiated from his body.
"Wu Xie, do you remember Fatty then? And Xie Yu Chen or Xiao Hua? And also Xia Zi? Fatty and Xia Zi remember you and they have been waiting for you and Xie Yu Chen to remember everything. You know Xia Zi loves your cousin, right?" Zhang asked and Wu Xie nodded.
"Of course, I remember Fatty. Without him, I would be nothing. He was my best friend. I am sure we will be best friends even now. Is he the one with you, the other police officer? And is Xia Zi the one with glasses?" Wu Xie asked and Zhang nodded.
"I know you want to meet them, and I will very soon, I promise. They will be so happy." Zhang replied.
"Xiao Ge, I am sorry. I made you wait. Now that I remember everything, I, very dearly missed you." Wu Xie said and Zhang looked at the man in front of him in admiration.
This was his lover, his soulmate, his only connection to this mortal world, Wu Xie.
Wu Xie took initiative this time and started peppering kisses on Zhang's face. And Zhang let him do it all, while he snaked his arms around Wu Xie's waist and occassionally rubbed his back.
Wu Xie also felt the warmth from Zhang's hand on his back. It almost burned his skin. He craved it more and more. Finally he stopped and then kissed Xiao Ge's forehead.
Both went to sleep after deciding to go back home the next morning.
Meanwhile...
Xiao Hua drove directly to his mansion and Xia Zi was with him. He clearly felt the other's gaze burning into his back, but Xiao Hua knew better than to react outside. He would wait till they were out of the world's eyes.
Fu*ck!!! Xie Yu Chen!!! You're a man, what are you thinking off?! Xia Zi is definitely straight. He was just teasing you because you were acting like a freaking coward. There's no way, he would like you!!
Xiao Hua was scolding himself mentally, while walking as fast as he could. They both were in the room and Xiao Hua locked the door before pushing Xia Zi against the door.
He took off his glasses and then stared straight into them.
"Xia Zi, do you like me? I feel your gaze on me everytime and it should make me uncomfortable, but it makes me feel protected. Its only been a day of you around me and I feel like I would die if you go away any further. Tell me, do you like me?" Xiao Hua asked him not realizing that he was asking his once lover if he ever loved him?
Xia Zi, now finally recovering from the shock of being pushed against the door, realized what Xiao Hua was talking and smiled.
"I like you Xie Yu Chen. I have always liked you, in fact loved you. Do you believe in rebirth and or reincarnation and then having memories of your past life and remembering the one you once loved and the one who once loved you?" Xia Zi asked and Xiao Hua was stunned.
Wu Xie was indeed naive and reckless, but Xie Yu Chen was a strategist and a calm person. He planned carefully and made sure everything was in his favour before taking any step. He was a genius. And thus he figured out everything within seconds.
"We were lovers in past life. And somehow we have same names, same body, same face and you remember all those memories from past life, but I don't know or remember anything. Is that what you're trying to say?" He asked and to his shock, Xia Zi nodded proving his thoughts right.
They had been born again. How were they in their past lives? What had happened? Did they make it till the end or did they separate? Xiao Hua had a lot of questions.
"You passed away of old age before me. As for me.. I fell into a very deep slumber before waking up in this universe.." Xia Zi told Xiao Hua who just stared at him.
"Don't worry too much. We can always start over. Hm?" Xia Zi cupped his face and kissed his forehead.
He pulled him into his arms and they both hugged as if their lives depended on it.
