Chapter 33 - ch 33

Hiyama thought for a moment and then spoke.

He had a large amount of monster materials, and even after deducting ten percent, it was still a considerable sum of money, so it was better to become a member to avoid these unnecessary fees.

"Ah!?"

The counter lady's smile froze on her face; she clearly hadn't expected Hiyama, who was with three girls, to not even have a thousand ruta.

From the moment they entered the guild, she had recognized the identities of the three people behind Hiyama.

"I thought he was someone important, but he's just a gigolo."

The counter lady thought disdainfully, but on the surface, she maintained a professional smile and said, "Alright, please show me your status board."

Hiyama then took out the modified status board and handed it to her.

"Hmm?"

The counter lady raised an eyebrow, and her expression became a little strange.

"Is something wrong?" Hiyama frowned.

"Oh, um, nothing."

The counter lady only froze for a moment before returning to her normal expression.

She had momentarily felt that this status board was a bit strange, but upon closer inspection, she found nothing unusual.

The counter lady took out a magic pen, tapped it twice, and then returned the status board and a small badge to Hiyama.

"Your adventurer registration has been completed."

Hiyama took it back and saw that the profession column now had an adventurer mark, and the accompanying badge was blue.

Blue represents the adventurer rank, which is the lowest; as one levels up, it sequentially changes to red, yellow, purple, green, white, black, silver, gold...

Since Hiyama had just completed the procedures, he was naturally the lowest blue rank; to raise his adventurer rank, he could only do more tasks issued by the guild.

"Then, please show me the monster materials you wish to sell."

The counter lady said with a formulaic smile.

"Hmm, are these enough?"

What Hiyama took out from his ring were monster furs, claws, teeth, and magic cores obtained from the Abyss; considering the capacity of the counter, he didn't take out those super-large monster materials.

"This! This is!"

The counter lady exclaimed in shock, her formulaic smile instantly vanishing without a trace.

She carefully picked up the monster materials, meticulously examining every detail in a suffocating tension.

The counter lady finally looked up, let out a heavy sigh, and then shifted her gaze to Hiyama.

"These... these are truly very precious monster materials."

"May I presume to ask, did you obtain these by personally slaying the monsters?"

The counter lady's rigid smile was gone, replaced by a respectful expression.

"Of course," Hiyama said, puzzled. "Otherwise, would they line up to commit suicide in front of me and wait for me to collect them?"

"Oh! My apologies, it's just that these monster materials are incredibly well-preserved..."

Frankly, the pristine condition of these monster materials was almost unbelievable; such a situation usually only had one explanation.

That is, these monsters were instantly killed with a single blow while completely defenseless!

This was an incredible feat!

"I have one more question, these monster materials were all obtained in the Orcus Great Labyrinth, right?"

The guild lady asked cautiously.

Monsters from the Orcus Great Labyrinth do not appear elsewhere, so they are easily recognizable.

"They are Orcus's monsters, is there a problem with that?" Hiyama's tone had already become a little impatient.

"Oh! I'm sorry."

The guild lady, startled by his glare, immediately began to apologize.

"Because the Orcus Great Labyrinth is currently closed, materials produced there are now extremely valuable..."

"So I must confirm if you wish for me to handle the sale of your materials."

She also received a commission if these monster materials were sold.

According to regulations, she had to confirm whether Hiyama specifically designated her to conduct these transactions.

"You're handling it, so it's you," Hiyama said indifferently.

Miss Yue was already giving him an uneasy look from behind, likely because they had been waiting for quite a while.

"Thank you! Thank you for choosing me!" The counter lady's face flushed with excitement.

After these materials were sold, she would at least get a substantial commission, although it was a mere drop in the bucket compared to the value of this batch of monster materials.

But for her, it was a considerable sum of money.

"If you look closely, this adventurer is quite handsome," she mused, momentarily lost in thought.

"Hmm!?" Miss Yue suddenly felt a jolt in her heart and looked towards Hiyama's back not far away.

The three of them were currently resting at a table not far from Hiyama, and Shea was happily drinking a cup of carrot juice she had bought.

"Miss Yue, the carrot juice here is so delicious, you should try it too!"

"No, I only need to drink Darling's blood."

"Besides, there's no more delicious drink in the world than Darling's blood."

Miss Yue said coldly.

"Boohoo~ But this carrot juice is really good."

"Oh, Miss 2B, do you want to try it too?"

Shea extended the straw of the carrot juice to Miss 2B again, eagerly suggesting.

"Thank you, Miss Shea."

"I am a Magic Puppet and do not require food for energy."

Miss 2B's voice remained flat as she calmly stated.

"Huh! Miss 2B, are you a Magic Puppet!?"

"I didn't know that before! You look just like a real person!" Shea's eyes widened in shock.

"That's because Master's skills are very good."

Miss Yue listened to their conversation, bored.

She suddenly felt a slight fluctuation in Miss 2B's tone in that sentence, wondering if it was her imagination.

"Oh! Lord Hiyama is indeed super amazing, I wonder if there's anything he can't do?"

Shea sipped her carrot juice in small sips, lost in thought.

"Hey, ladies."

"What are you talking about? Can we join you?"

At this moment, several male adventurers approached their table.

"I advise you to disappear automatically within three seconds," Miss Yue said coldly.

She looked up, her icy eyes sending a chill down their spines.

"What a beautiful girl!" The adventurers were stunned the moment they saw her face.

They had originally seen Shea's face by chance when she went to buy a drink, and then followed her to strike up a conversation, never expecting that the girl at her table was just as beautiful as the one before!

"Don't be so cold, we're all adventurers."

"By the way, do you have a party yet? I'm a green-rank adventurer, you know!"

One of the adventurers proudly pulled out his adventurer badge and said.

"Three." Miss Yue's eyes grew colder.

"...Are you new to this town? We can be your guides."

"Two."

"...By the way, we can also treat you, that cup of carrot juice, let us pay for it!"

"One!"*

Chapter 48: So Amazing!

The magic in Miss Yue's hand had already condensed and was about to be unleashed.

"I'm done, let's go," Hiyama's voice came from behind them.

The murderous aura in the air instantly dissipated, and the ice on Miss Yue's face melted, as she happily said, "Darling, you're here!"

"Yes, let's go."

Hiyama said indifferently, his eyes not even glancing at the adventurers, as if he hadn't seen them at all.

"Wait! Who are you?" The adventurers said angrily.

Being ignored felt terrible, not to mention that this man clearly had an extraordinary relationship with these "goddesses."

They had tried everything to get even a single glance from the goddesses, but how could this man make the goddesses so happy with just one sentence!?

This was enough to drive one mad with jealousy!

A warrior-type adventurer stepped forward and said, "It seems you are their companion."

This adventurer sized Hiyama up and down for a moment, then suddenly noticed the blue badge in his hand.

He immediately sneered contemptuously.

"Hmph, with you, a blue-rank adventurer, I have reason to suspect you're utterly incapable of protecting these three beautiful girls."

He said arrogantly, "Let's duel! Let me expose your true strength and prove who is more worthy of them."

Among adventurers, rank meant everything.

His "green" rank was three full ranks higher than Hiyama's "blue" rank, naturally giving him the capital for his arrogance.

"Orison, don't be like that, this is the guild." His companions quickly came forward to dissuade him.

Anyone who used force in the Adventure Guild would be permanently stripped of their adventurer qualifications, as clearly stated in the guild rules posted at the entrance.

"Buri, don't stop me, this is a fair and square duel."

"Those lovely and beautiful ladies must have been deceived by him!"

This adventurer named Orison seemed to have been blinded by jealousy and stubbornly insisted.

"Hey! Wait, don't leave!"

However, just as he was entangled with his companions, Hiyama had already taken the three girls and was preparing to leave.

From beginning to end, his eyes seemed to completely ignore their group.

"I told you to wait, didn't you hear... Ugh!"

The burly man named Orison was about to reach out and grab Hiyama's arm, but before he could even touch him, a sudden, intensely suffocating sensation gripped his heart.

"Orison, what's wrong!?" His companions noticed his abnormality and quickly asked.

"I... I... Ugh!"

Orison clutched his chest, his knees buckled, and he directly fell to the ground.

His face alternated between red and white, constantly changing.

Bang!

A crisp sound seemed to echo in the air, as if a mischievous child had pricked a balloon with a needle.
