Chapter 5 - chapter 5: destinies wings

A year had passed since Nava Terragon destabilized the cosmos. This time, the Emanator of Erudition didn't unleash any major, galaxy-altering broadcasts. Instead, he occupied his time by recruiting thirteen subordinates, ending the solitude of his amber eras. His reasoning was pragmatic: managing a planet-sized library and maintaining his vast computational projects required specialized labor.

Luckily, by leveraging the sheer, concentrated power of Erudition, The Hunt, Finality, Equilibrium, Trailblaze, and Elation energies, supplemented with proprietary technology, Nava was able to elevate these individuals. They became Pseudo-Emanators of various Paths, granting them access to controlled, specialized power to execute their tasks.

Logos (Codenamed Reason): A male Pseudo-Emanator of Erudition. Logos was found on a desolate, remote planet, alone on a bare rock as the last vestiges of his civilization were consumed by a Stellaron. His ability lies in instantaneous, localized problem-solving and absolute data classification. His primary duty is the meticulous care and cataloging of Nava's planet-sized library, ensuring its structure adheres to perfect, logical order.

Nyx (Codenamed Void): A female Pseudo-Emanator of Nihility. Nava found her being subjected to cruel and extensive experimentation within a decaying research facility near a Stellaron anomaly. Her inherent connection to the Void allows her to negate localized energy signatures and operate all of Nava's transport and cloaking technology, enabling silent, untraceable movement across the cosmos.

Peruna (Codenamed Thunder): A female Pseudo-Emanator of Destruction. Peruna was originally a ruthless assassin hired to eliminate Nava. Impressed by the raw, focused chaotic energy of her attack, Nava took her in. Her purpose is containment: she takes care of the small, persistent goons and bounty hunters attempting to 'assassinate' Nava, ensuring any disruption is met with an overwhelming, decisive, and efficient application of force.

Zephyra (Codenamed Wind): A female Pseudo-Emanator of The Hunt. Zephyra was found barely alive on a planet ravaged by the lord ravager, zephyro. waiting for death, She had lost her name and memory, so Nava gave her a new identity. She acts as the vigilant Guardian of Nava's new home planet, the massive mechanical library, using her focused power to swiftly eliminate any incoming threats before they can reach the perimeter.

Boreas (Codenamed Ice): A male Pseudo-Emanator of Remembrance. Unlike traditional followers of Fuli who often relinquish their bodies, Boreas is a former Cremator who meticulously hid his physical form from others to preserve his existence. He still maintains his physical body and, alongside Hestia, is tasked with the creation and preservation of Nava's sustenance, ensuring perfect resource management.

Thanatos (Codenamed Death): A male Pseudo-Emanator of Equilibrium. Thanatos was a random survivor on a truly unfortunate planet infested simultaneously by the remains of the Swarm, elements of the Antimatter Legion, and two active Stellarons. Nava, taking interest in the planet's catastrophic statistical imbalance, intervened, saving the remaining citizens. Thanatos, embodying the return to balance, executes all necessary actions to neutralize threats below the Emanator level, ensuring cosmic balance is enforced.

Hestia (Codenamed Fire): A female Pseudo-Emanator of Trailblaze. Hestia's lineage is unique: she is a descendant of a former Nameless who had traveled alongside Akivili and Aha when the Trailblaze Aeon was still active. She embodies forward momentum and resourcefulness. She works alongside Boreas, managing and preparing all necessary resources for the crew's long-term operational needs.

Noema (Codenamed Sentience): A female Pseudo-Emanator of Elation. Noema is a former Masked Fool who briefly became a Mourning Actor before returning to the Path of Elation. Her erratic faction-switching—a perfect expression of absurdity—drew the attention of Aha, who once briefly gazed upon her. She handles all political and diplomatic negotiations for Nava, relying on unpredictability and theatrical flair to achieve illogical results.

Astrea (Codenamed Stars): A female Pseudo-Emanator of Propagation. Astrea is, in fact, one of the later, controlled replications/children of the deceased Aeon Tayzzyronth. Luckily, she managed to develop genuine individual consciousness when Nava took her in. She travels alongside Imperius, using her Path's inherent ability to replicate and process vast data streams to record the status of galaxies.

Imperius (Codenamed Dominance): A male Pseudo-Emanator of Order. Imperius is a former elite soldier from the tragic planet Glamoth—a world famously destroyed by Firefly's destructive sacrifice. After the cataclysm, he was left wandering the cosmos, desperately fighting the residual Swarm. Nava found him crash-landed on a desolate section of his library's construction zone and took him in, intrigued by his unyielding commitment to control amidst total chaos. He travels with Astrea, providing structure and security to the recording missions.

Nexus (Codenamed Binding): A male Pseudo-Emanator of Preservation. He is a former IPC worker who was sabotaged and abandoned on a Stellaron-infected planet by his corrupt co-workers. During his near-death experience, he was momentarily glanced upon by Qlipoth, transforming him into a Pseudo-Emanator of Preservation. He actively sought out Nava, fueled by a desire for vengeance against the IPC. Nexus manages the facility's security systems and handles all prisoner interrogations and experimental oversight.

Taint (Codenamed Corruption): A female Pseudo-Emanator of Voracity. Surprisingly, Taint is actually a Dusk Leviathan—a monstrous entity—who achieved her Emanator status due to Ouroboros. Nava found her sealed in a powerful amber structure, severely weakened to a Pseudo-Emanator status. Taint, surprisingly, expressed no malice toward Qlipoth for sealing her, saying it was "right" to do so. She is tasked with all computational infiltration, hacking into hostile systems, and managing the entire planetary internet infrastructure.

Elysian (Codenamed Human:Ego): A female Pseudo-Emanator of Harmony. Elysian is one of Nava's two direct assistants and a completely original lifeform designed by Nava, inspired by a certain pink elf he once knew. She represents the potential for perfect, harmonious biological creation and is responsible for managing and caring for all of Nava's biological creations and experimental lifeforms.

Each of these subordinates now had their assigned specialized function, elevating Nava's operations from solo genius work to a structured, optimized enterprise.

Now, back to the timeline. A pivotal moment had arrived: the time where destiny was set to unfold its wings once more with the birth of the Trailblazer, the individual destined to confront Nanook.

Nava theorized that this Trailblazer was made using a remnant will of Akivili or something conceptually similar, noting that the Trailblazer's core attitude was uncannily similar to Akivili's own: always finding exploits of Their own Path to express Their remaining humanity.

Leaning casually against the wall, close to the containment unit holding the Stellaron that would be embedded, Nava waited patiently for Kafka and Silver Wolf to arrive and witness this crucial, first step of Elio's script.

"Oh, if it isn't you, Librarian. Or should I call you Reader?" Kafka remarked, her tone smooth, as she and Silver Wolf completed the swift, brutal task of defeating the few Antimatter Legion stragglers guarding the station.

"Just Reader," Nava replied, finally opening his closed eyes. His gaze settled on Silver Wolf, who was already immersed in the virtual interface, picking the final gender variable for the Trailblazer.

"Pick Stelle," Nava advised, without moving. "She is statistically more expressive than Caelus, which will make it easier for the Astral Express crew to make friends, thus ensuring the flow of Elio's script."

Taking the advice, Silver Wolf selected Stelle. A silver-gray-haired girl materialized: wearing a white inner shirt, an open black long-sleeved trench coat with the sleeves rolled up, a dark red wallet chain on the left waist, a black tight mini-skirt, and a light blue garter on the left thigh.

Kafka stepped forward, the Stellaron held carefully in her hand, and stood before the newly formed body. After a careful examination, she turned her attention back to the Stellaron. "How much will she remember?"

"At least, she'll remember you," Silver Wolf replied, not looking up from her interface.

"Heh." Hearing this, Kafka leaned in close, a delicate smile forming on her lips, and gently pushed the Stellaron into Stelle's body.

"Time to wake up, little one~"

Within moments, Stelle slowly opened her eyes. "... Kafka?"

A trace of genuine warmth flickered into Kafka's eyes. "Good, you remember me."

Stelle rubbed her head, still groggy and destabilized from the sudden awakening. Her mind was a chaotic blank; she couldn't recall anything about her existence.

"Listen to me," Kafka continued, her voice dropping into the hypnotic Spirit Whisper. "Your mind is in chaos right now. You don't know who you are, why you're here, or what you should do next. You feel like I'm familiar, but you're not sure if you should trust me."

"Soon, you'll face many dangers and find yourself in terrifying predicaments—but you'll also encounter many wonderful things. You'll have companions like family and embark on adventures beyond your wildest dreams."

"And at the end of your journey, all the mysteries troubling you will be resolved. This is what Elio has foreseen... The future you will reach. Do you like it?"

Kafka's words were a delicate, potent form of suggestion, stabilizing Stelle's turbulent mind without controlling her ultimate free will.

"Where are you going?" Stelle asked, the first truly conscious question.

Kafka smiled faintly. "To the next place, to pave the way for the future that has been prepared. It's like weaving a tapestry—you and I can only weave one golden thread at a time, but eventually, it will form a beautiful picture."

"How much longer are you gonna talk?" Silver Wolf interjected impatiently, checking the readouts. "The Astral Express crew is almost here. We shouldn't run into them."

"Don't be impatient, little wolf. The things Kafka is saying have a huge impact on Stelle's future—they define the initial conditions of the script," Nava said, his voice calm, signaling for Kafka to complete her directive.

Kafka turned her gaze back to the newly awakened girl. "Listen to me. Soon, someone will find you. Go with them, and don't worry. Also... When you have the chance to make a choice, don't let yourself regret it."

"Kafka..." Stelle murmured, her confusion deepening.

After that, Nava, Silver Wolf, and Kafka left the area. Kafka and Silver Wolf exchanged quick goodbyes, while Nava lingered for a moment, watching Stelle's story begin to unfold before his eyes.

The story of the Trailblazing Path, the story of this single, chaotic variable, would surely be a good story for Nava to read. After all, it had been a long time since his personal library had received a truly compelling new novel.
