W–what… what is this place?
The moment Akira woke up, he realized he was somewhere unbelievably strange—surrounded by sticky liquid, unable to even open his eyes.
What was even scarier was that his body felt tiny—and he was hanging upside down.
He froze for a long moment before the truth hit him.
Wait… isn't this what it's like inside a pregnant woman's belly? Am I… reincarnated?!
But instead of getting excited, Akira's heart sank in despair.
Are you kidding me? I worked my ass off for so many years, finally got my business making money, even celebrated with my employees last night—and now I wake up in this cursed place? Seriously?!
Back in the 21st century, he'd been a small business owner. Sure, he shared the same name as the legendary Colonel Akira, but unlike that guy, this Akira was just a regular dude. After years of struggle, his company had finally turned a profit. One night of drinking to celebrate… and the next thing he knew, his life had gone off a cliff.
Well… maybe reincarnating wasn't the worst outcome. He didn't have any attachments anyway. Complaining wasn't going to help. Might as well figure out how to make a name for himself in this new world. A transmigrator's got to live up to the title, after all.
"Ding! Super Assistance System activated. As this is your first binding, 1000 starting points have been awarded."
Huh? What the hell? A system?
"Yes, Host. Please don't be alarmed. I am the Super Assistance System."
"Ohhh—so the whole 'transmigrators get a cheat system' thing is real. Looks like heaven hasn't abandoned me after all. So, what's this 1000 points for?"
"Points may be used within the system to exchange for anything that exists in the Dragon Ball universe."
"…You said what now? Dragon Ball? You sure you're not messing with me?"
"Affirmative. This is indeed the Dragon Ball world. And your new identity is that of a Saiyan."
"A real Saiyan…?"He'd already suspected as much, but hearing it confirmed still made his emotions twist in ways he couldn't describe.
The whole "No regrets if I live in the Dragon Ball world; in the next life may I be Saiyan" thing had always been something he said jokingly—never expecting fate to take it literally.
"That's right. And not just any Saiyan. You are the legendary, naturally-born Super Saiyan—Broly."
Akira forced down the surge of excitement. This wasn't just any Saiyan. This was the Broly—an absolute monster. According to Saiyan lore, a Super Saiyan only appeared once every thousand years. And the Legendary Super Saiyan? Who knew how many millennia that took?
After a moment of silence, he made up his mind. Since he'd already cut ties with his old life, he might as well live properly in this one—under Broly's name.
But unlike the tragic original, he had no intention of wasting Broly's absurd talent and bloodline. This time, he'd put it to full use.
"So how do I use the points?"
"You can use them in the Points Shop to exchange for anything that has appeared in the Dragon Ball world, as well as some items from other realms. However, certain things—like bloodlines or skills—are exclusive to you. Only you can use them."
Suddenly, a bad feeling crept into Broly's heart.
Right—his body. In the original story, Broly was born with a freakish power level of 10,000. King Vegeta panicked and ordered the newborn executed.
But despite being stabbed as an infant, Broly somehow survived, saved his father, and escaped Planet Vegeta before it exploded.
The problem was… Akira wasn't confident he'd be blessed by Lady Luck the same way. If he didn't survive that part…
Wouldn't he die before even starting?
"System, do you have anything that can hide my power?"
In his eyes, King Vegeta only tried to kill Broly because of his terrifying potential. If he hid his power from the start, none of the tragedy would happen. As long as he escaped Planet Vegeta, he'd be like a freed dragon soaring into the sky. Then he'd train, get stronger, and eventually beat the crap out of Frieza.
"Eye of Truth, 200 points. Effect: allows you to see another person's displayed power level as well as their complete power level, and it perfectly hides your own ki (outside of combat). Note: must be fused into one eye—left or right—and can be removed at will."
"Oh hell yeah. That's the one."
Once the exchange finished, Broly felt a cool sensation in his right eye. He immediately activated the ki-concealing function.
"Host, you no longer need to call me out loud. Just think to me. I exist within your consciousness."
Broly closed his eyes, and sure enough, deep in his mind, he saw a tiny Dragon Ball—with its star inside shining in multicolored light.
Of course…In his previous life, he'd once helped an old scavenger. The man had given him a necklace with a bead just like this one.
Good deeds really do get rewarded, huh?Broly couldn't help but feel emotional.
