Kenneth started his day with the Tactical Training Course. They were instructed to pair up and perform drills with their pair, and naturally, Kenneth and Lennon formed a group together.
He stared at his roommate, who stood out even while sitting on the ground, stretching his limbs. Lennon was a waggish young man with a smile equally bright and charming as his personality. The opposite of Kenneth in every sense of the word, but they worked together and suited each other perfectly. Kenneth had come to form a trust of sorts with Lennon. Though he still held him at arm's length, he knew that he was someone worth having on his side.
As they finished their stretches, Lennon couldn't help asking Kenneth how his Emergency session with Lucien went. So he told him everything, even the little deal they'd made.
The young man stared at the Anchor with surprise.
"What is it?" Kenneth asked, watching him with wary eyes.
