Woken up by the annoying loud music coming from downstairs, I think its the fourth time this week and it's really getting on my nerves.
"Leni!!! Keep it down" I shouted, covering my head with a pillow.
Damnit! My alarm just had to go off too, great! Just great!!
I got off the bed, out of my room, straight downstairs and switching off the music.
"Hey!! I was listening to that" Leni, my best friend's little sister said.
" Leni, it's just 7 30 in the morning, what do you think you're going?" I asked.
" Come on Ari, don't be such a kill joy, Lexie said I could play the music," she replied.
" Not so loud! Don't you have school today?" I asked.
" Yes, but I don't want to go" she replied. Throwing a tantrum already.
" Hey! I let you stay here because your sister, who's my roommate asked me too, and only for good reason. Not for dodging school"
"I'm tired Ariana. So many books, so much studying" she complained.
"You're 13, there's nothing you should complain about, now get ready, we're leaving this place together, I'll drop you off.....at school" I headed back upstairs to change too.

I went back to my room to freshen up, I had to hurry to go to work or else I'd be late for the late 8 o'clock meeting. I quickly took a shower, rushed to the wardrobe and picked out my clothes for today.
I put on some light make up, tied my long black hair in a neat tight ban, straightening my bangs, sprayed myself with my favorite perfume, grabbed my phone, bag and headed out.
"Strange, unlike any other day, why do I feel like today will turn out badly"
After breakfast, I dropped off Leni at school and headed to my work place.
I work in one of the biggest Engineering companies in the country.
"GOLDEN EMPIRE BUILDERS"
Named by the owner himself, but the name was oddly familiar, like I'd heard it somewhere before, but I couldn't remember.
I worked in the Architect Department. I've been trying to keep my self together after what happened to me four years back but I still got the job I wanted... on special hire and recommendations by one of the higher ups.
"Who could my guardian angel be?"
"You're finally here, I was waiting for you!" Lexie's voice welcomed me from the elevator.
"Yeah!! I was on my way but had to first drop off your sister at school" I replied.
"Ohh! That trouble maker devil!! I should send her back to my parents soon" she said, but the look on her face said it all. Something's wrong.
" What happened?" I asked.
" Mr Parks is leaving," she replied.
"What! But isn't he the CEO?" I asked as we walked towards my working area.
"He was, according to him, someone bought this entire empire, we have a new CEO, and he'll be here soon." She replied.
"I really liked working as his secretary, I'm going to miss him, and I don't know who my new boss will be."
"I guess he'll just be like Mr Parks," I said taking my seat.
" I heard rumors! The new CEO, he's not friendly, and he's not the kind of person you can talk to that easily, he's a Domineering monster and I won't be surprised if he lays most of us" Lexie replied.
" Those are just rumors, what's the worst that can happen" I asked sarcasticly, taking a sip of my coffee on the desk.
"Anyways, there will be a farewell party later tonight for Mr Parks and a welcome party for the new CEO too!" She said.
" Emergency meeting, now!!" Mrs Vibbles, my supervisor announced.
"I'll get back to work" Lexie headed back to her department.
"As you've all heard" she said, as we all took our seats.
"We have a new CEO arriving, and what I've heard, he wants results! Good ones. He called for a board meeting and demands presentations for the Sky Core building" she continued to say.
"Olivia, Renny and Ariana, you three will lead them"
" But we.....I haven't fully prepared for this Mrs Vibbles" I said.
"That's why, I need all of you to work on your slides in the next hour because the meeting is in two hours" she replied.
"Don't worry ma'am, some of us are already prepared for this" Renny, sitting across me said.
"Okay, do a review in the next hour, make it perfect and those who aren't ready yet! Get to it... Meeting adjourned" she replied and left.
"Don't stress over it gorgeous, I'll handle this" Renny said, implying to me.
"Whatever,,, just make sure, you don't mess this up" I stood up and headed back to my desk.
For the next hours, we were all up and down, trying to perfect our slides for the new CEO, hardest part of the job.

My private jet had just landed at exactly 7 o'clock in the morning. For the first time in four years, I was back in the country that gave me nothing but pain. Not because I wanted, I had no choice! I can't take it anymore. I need answers from the woman I thought loved me,
"Ariana"
Her memories still haunt me, the love I still feel for her haunts me... her face.
"I need to see her"
My heart craved to see her, but the hate I felt was also overwhelming.
I'd been searching for her and once I found her, I hired her to work in the company that was named by her,,,God knows if she still even remembers that name.
The company belonged to me, but I put a fake CEO to act in my place and now,, I'll take over.
"Welcome back sir" my assistant Tobe, greeted as I came out of the jet.
"I have your schedule ready, I can change it if you don't like it" he continued to say, fear evident in his voice.
"Is my car ready?" I ignored what he just said.
"Yes sir,, " he replied.
"And I've informed the board and the Architecture Department about the meeting" he added.
"Good! Now, if I reach before you,you might as well find another job" I repliedentering my car that had just arrived.
I opted to drive myself,,, for some reason I was anxious, was I scared to face her? ..

The boardroom was arranged and the executive board members arrived one by one. Ariana took charge of organizing everything while the others were tasked to welcome the new CEO at the entrance of the building.
His car arrived and parked just outside the building, accompanied by Tobe and his elite security.. lining up on either side while he made an entrance, capturing hearts of the female employees.
A new CEO had arrived....
