Chapter 92 - Chapter 91: Sudo's Second Outburst

Chabashira-sensei finished speaking, picked up a piece of chalk, and wrote a series of numbers on the blackboard.

Then, she pointed to the number 62 among them and said,

"Since Horikita, you want to know, then pay close attention. Let's take Japanese as an example. 62 is the class average for the Japanese subject."

Chabashira-sensei then started writing a formula after 62.

62 ÷ 2 = 31.

Everyone was familiar with this simple and easy-to-understand equation.

"I believe everyone can understand what this means, right? The average divided by two is the passing score. In other words, all students who scored below 31 in the Japanese subject are considered to have failed."

Initially, when everyone heard 'Japanese,' they didn't react much.

Because this was the subject that most people chose to intentionally lower their scores in, at Hirata's request.

Even if someone genuinely didn't have good grades, with the average score being what it was, how low could he possibly go?

But when everyone saw the class ranking for the Japanese subject,

They were immediately dumbfounded.

Kouenji and Amane were tied for first place.

Yukimura was in second place.

There were also nearly ten people who scored in the seventies and eighties.

These people might have intentionally lowered their scores.

But because they were afraid of lowering it too much and ultimately being expelled, they chose this half-hearted approach.

The direct result was that the average score wasn't as low as they had imagined.

However, even if it was 62 divided by two, that's only 31 points. The Japanese subject is so simple; it's impossible for anyone to score below 31, even by guessing.

How could anyone possibly score below 31?

Chabashira then picked up a piece of chalk and drew a line.

There were actually four people below 31 points.

This meant that even in Japanese, a subject where most of the class tried to lower the average, some people still fell behind.

Not to mention the other subjects.

Horikita saw this result, opened her mouth, but couldn't say anything.

She had already lowered her score to 60, so why were there still students who failed?

This brings us to Hirata's study group.

Hirata's study group was voluntary.

The group of people who were in the bottom third of the class, who should have received special attention, all did not participate in Hirata's study group, because they felt that even if they went, they wouldn't learn anything, and it was more comfortable to play on their phones and games in their dorm rooms.

But the moment the expulsion notice came out of Chabashira-sensei's mouth, they couldn't accept the cruel reality.

What a bunch of pathetic guys.

Learning or not learning is a personal freedom, and there's nothing wrong with that.

But if they don't even have the courage to bear the consequences... that's truly too shameful.

Amane's gaze turned to the silent Sudo.

Could he really hold it in?

Sudo saw that no one was willing to speak up for them anymore.

He slammed his textbook on the desk and stood up.

"Chabashira-sensei!!! This is too much! To be expelled just for failing one exam, what kind of ridiculous school would set such a rule?!"

Sudo's roar made some of the girls look at him fearfully.

"Ridiculous? Isn't it normal for a student to be expelled for failing? I don't know what you have to complain about, Sudo. Besides, I've already told you in advance..."

"Huh? I never heard you say that failing the exam would lead to expulsion!"

Sudo retorted loudly.

Chabashira-sensei was a little stunned.

Although she had already anticipated that someone might lose control due to expulsion,

She never expected that Sudo, in order to escape the reality of being expelled, would choose to distort the facts.

"Sudo-san, calm down. Chabashira-sensei did say back then that if we failed this exam, we would be expelled."

Hirata saw Sudo pushing the situation towards an uncontrollable edge.

He quickly stood up, trying to defuse the argument. Although he wanted to help everyone pass the exam, this didn't mean he would unconditionally side with his classmates and ignore objective facts.

"Exactly, Chabashira-sensei already said it before. Why are you getting so angry? If your grades were even half as good as your temper, you wouldn't be facing expulsion."

Karuizawa saw Hirata speak and quickly chimed in.

Suddenly, many people turned their criticism towards Sudo.

The accusations and taunts constantly stimulated Sudo.

Crash!!

Sudo slammed his chair hard on the floor.

"Shut up! All of you, shut your mouths!"

Sudo glared menacingly at Karuizawa, whose accusations had been the most grating.

Karuizawa, who had been continuing her sarcastic remarks, instantly seemed to have her throat choked, unable to utter a single word.

Hirata saw this and gave Ayanokoji a look.

Ayanokoji, however, subtly shook his head.

Hirata was a little disappointed.

He had originally hoped that Ayanokoji could talk some sense into Sudo.

But he didn't expect Ayanokoji to refuse to get involved at this moment.

However, Hirata could understand Ayanokoji's actions.

If it were him, he would hesitate before risking a beating to persuade someone.

Not to mention, Ayanokoji didn't seem to have a particularly close relationship with Sudo.

His refusal was understandable.

Just as Hirata was about to speak up again to persuade Sudo to calm down,

Amane stood up.

"Chabashira-sensei, how long do you plan to watch this gorilla go berserk? Does the school not even have a security department? Do you intend to allow such a person to cause trouble and disrupt school rules?"

Amane's triple questions brought the stunned Chabashira-sensei back to her senses.

"Since I can't communicate with you, I'll have to ask security to come over."

Chabashira-sensei said as she started dialing the phone.

Just then, Sudo suddenly strode forward.

When he was less than a meter from Chabashira, he suddenly reached out, intending to snatch Chabashira's phone.

Bang.

It was supposed to be a surprise attack.

But Kouenji, who was sitting next to Chabashira, instantly grabbed his wrist.

"Oh? Are you planning to lay hands on a woman? My, my, you've truly redefined my understanding of the word 'worthless trash.'"

Kouenji adjusted his hairstyle with one hand, slowly rising from his seat.

"You bastard! Let go! This has nothing to do with you!"

Sudo struggled a few times, and after realizing he couldn't break free from Kouenji's grip, his face was filled with shock.

All his life, no matter what he encountered, as long as the other person dared to argue with him, one punch would make them obedient.

But ever since he came here, he had repeatedly suffered setbacks in his proud strength.

The endless humiliation made Sudo feel his pride being ruthlessly trampled underfoot.

Isn't this a school where strength reigns supreme?

He would use his strength to show these people that his, Sudo Ken's, strength couldn't be reflected by mere additions and subtractions in textbooks.

"If you have the ability to break free, then try it. Or, Red-haired Gorilla, if you kneel and beg me now, I might consider letting you go."

Kouenji hadn't even finished speaking when Sudo punched towards Kouenji's face with his free hand.

It worked!!!

Sudo's face showed a hint of a smile and excitement.

Even if it was a sneak attack, success was victory!

But Sudo's smile didn't last long before it froze on his face.

His full-force punch was now firmly caught by Kouenji.

Kouenji's face even showed a hint of playfulness.

"Hey, hey, what is this? Are you perhaps trying to act cute like a girl? This kind of strength isn't even enough to give me a foot massage."
