Hans observed the changes in the Radar map. The red dots vanished, one large chunk at a time until none was left.
The barrage of explosions stopped, marking the end of the barrage from his Guardian GIs.
"The vanguard has defeated the enemy," he muttered, then signaled to the driver. "Move forward. The area ahead should be safe."
The driver pressed on the gas, roaring the stagnant engine back to life. As he went past the Recover squads, Hans's heart tightened at the sight of his injured soldiers.
WIth a deep breath, he looked away and focused in front.
"Move to the right," a voice shouted. "Path's blocked over there."
"Aight, thanks."
The armored SUV took a right turn into an alley and exited in a rugged road. Hans held on for his dear life until they returned to the asphalted sections.
By the time they arrived at the edge of the block, the vanguard team has already made their way into the entrance of the fish processing center area.
