By morning, Dmitri and the troops were gathered around the long wooden table inside the mansion they had occupied for the night.
A map of Pandora District lay open in front of him, with the patrol team's latest report placed beside it.
Most of the soldiers were already packed for the day.
Dmitri tapped the waterway leading away from the district.
"According to the patrol team, the HVT escaped by boat. If he keeps following the waterway, he may pass near the Colony, but we have no trail beyond that. It goes into the return report. We are not chasing him blind."
A few soldiers exchanged amused looks.
If Elias really reached the Colony after escaping them, the Commander would have his own problem waiting at the gate.
"With the secondary objective out of reach for now, we continue the main operation. Every mansion except Tyrus Shearman's gets examined properly before we leave Pandora."
Dmitri's finger moved across the gated properties on the map.
