Hans set the giant report aside and checked the War Factory queue again.
The creature was somewhere toward central Grefort, not outside his window. He had time to prepare, and panicking about a target he could not even locate would accomplish nothing. The report gave him a direction and a scale, not a reason to throw soldiers into the center looking for it. If the Giant came back toward controlled territory, Radar and patrol reports would give him a problem he could act on. Until then, preparation mattered more than imagination.
"Finish the War Factory first. Dmitri's second Pandora run is already underway, so I'll deal with what I actually have in front of me."
He returned to the remaining pages.
The next section covered Pandora itself, the damaged wall at its entrance and the fighting around Tyrus's mansion.
"So Elias was already fighting Tyrus when they arrived."
That explained why the target had been weakened, but not why Johannes had failed to finish him.
