Chapter 16 - Chapter 17: [Intermission Chapter] The Wanted Four!

Several individuals gathered in a half circle around a bedridden old lady who was on her last breath. A sad moment for everyone in the room, the old lady who had served them as a Seer and helped them out for many years was going to be no more, no more advice, no way to get information to make it easier to conquer the enemies. From now on, they had to plan all tactical operations with watchers instead, who would gather information for them. They cannot just attack enemies from nowhere and hope for the best anymore.

One of the individuals was sitting in a chair beside her, holding her hand and wearing a block coat. This man had stylish hair, and the charisma radiating from him indicated that he was the leader of the bunch.

"Thank you for everything!" The stylish man said.

The old lady smiled at him and slowly raised her hand, pointing straight. The others kept pointing towards themselves, thinking she was pointing at them.

"Move out of the way!" Stylish man uttered.

All of them moved away from the middle as she kept pointing to the wall before her whole body gave up on her as she went out of breath, dying there, with the last thing she did for them was pointing at the wall.

"What did she point at, Azlok?" A white-haired Witch, dressed in a beautiful blue dress, asked.

Azlok got up from the chair and moved to the wall plastered with four posters. He looked at the one on the bottom left, Mejni Herkattona, Meerkat assassin. Ten influential families have put a bounty out for whoever catches this murderer to cut the animal's head off and take it back to them. Bottom right, The Bomb expert Tinker Blinker, daughter of the infamous Harald Blinker, the bomb expert during the Valiant war. The bounty for whoever catches her is 500 million Randid. She is responsible for wiping out five villages in a big explosion. Upper-left, Zark Van Polan, a mere human, one Billion Randid, has broken into the lowest level in Hell, currently unknown why and how, the bounty comes from Hell and Heaven, which is surprising as they usually won't have bounties together. The upper-right, Berk Van Polan, Kingslayer of the king of Valiant, five Billion Randid with the reward coming from everywhere, as in Hell, Valiant, Paladin Woods, and Heaven, more or less wanted everywhere. Unknown powers, but Azlok knew that he had to be powerful if he managed to kill the king.

The door to the room opened, revealing a young girl with two big horns, a skimpy black leather outfit, and grey hair. She bent slightly to greet her master as her tits started to wiggle left and right.

"What is it?" Azlok asked.

She didn't raise her gaze, as she was frightened of Azlok and all the lieutenants under him.

"A Corkan bird has arrived from Valiant to make an announcement." She said.

Azlok was a little surprised by this. Corkan birds do not travel far unless there is a special announcement. In Hell, there are the Forkan Lizards that make the announcements instead of the birds.

"Take the bird to the dining hall!" Azlok commented, and the girl quickly nodded and closed the door behind her.

Azlok was a little bit surprised, the Seer dying and pointing at the wall, and then a Corkan bird arriving at the big castle right in the middle of Valiant. He stood there thinking for a while before saying:

"Let us move to the dining hall."

The others went out of the room, and when Azlok, who was the last one, stopped and looked at the Seer for the last time, telling himself:

"What did you try to tell us?" and he went out from the room into the hallway when several servants in black passed him to take care of the dead woman.

He came into the dining hall with the others already seated by the long table. The leader, of course, was sitting at the top of the table, and the red bird at the other edge of the table was shaking, afraid to face him, and just faced the other direction.

"Begin the announcement!" Azlok uttered, seeing a projector-like rectangle shine up, with The Queen of Valiant sitting at a desk.

Everyone at the table looked surprised, as the Queen never made announcements at all, and their kingdom is more or less gone since the war, knowing that Paladin Woods is their home, with a small part of one of the worlds they still had power over.

'I have an urgent message for everyone in Hell, Valiant, Paladin Woods, and Heaven. Since yesterday, the prisoner Berk Van Polan and Mejni Herkattona escaped from the prison here in Paladin Woods. Both prisoners fled to Valiant, so we urge all citizens, bounty hunters, and liutanants to hunt them down and kill them, bring their heads to a Valiant office, and the reward will be yours. As both are highly dangerous, no one with a ranking below A is allowed to interact with them; only A or P has permission to intercept the criminals. I urge you, as the Queen, to be careful and please help us catch them as soon as possible, as the pain of a king slain still hurts Valiant, and your contribution will not be in vain. We know they are somewhere in The Fallen Kingdoms. Thank you!'

Azlok didn't flinch, but he was thoughtful as two of them on the poster had entered Valiant even though they were very far away. The bird shut down and flew out of the window as fast as possible.

"Who do we have in The Fallen Kingdoms?" Azlok asked the others.

"I have one of my 2nd lieutenants there, but for a while back, the Kingdoms have been sealed off completely from Valiant. It has stopped our operations between the Kingdoms, as we can not move past Level seven. Heroes are on the first seven levels, but we have not reached level eight."

Azlok got confused by the comment from one of the lieutenants.

"You mean kingdoms?"

"Oh! Sorry! Yes, I mean seven of the kingdoms. Since the seal off and new unknown monsters entering all areas, we have not been able to progress as we wished we could."

"What is the cause of this hindrance?" Azlok asked.

"The report I got from the last town they attacked, there was a young man, who, by seeing his people die, something of a blue colour of light exploded and killed all our soldiers there, but the people in the town disappeared. After that incident, new monsters and all kinds of creatures appeared everywhere, along with many new citizens. They are acting on their own, and we have managed to breach many areas, but we cannot get past the wall at the end of the seventh kingdom. It is like a new world created within the fallen kingdoms; not only have our soldiers perished, but anyone who tries to advance gets killed. We have still not found the cause of what exactly caused this, but it feels like some curse has erupted upon the kingdoms. It feels like nobody is controlling what is going on there, and we have seen humans in this world and many Valiant soldiers coming directly from Paladin Woods." The lieutenant with a crocodile head explained.

Azlok was thinking, seventh kingdom.

"What kingdom is the Seventh Kingdom? He asked.

"It is the Wizard Kingdom!" The lieutenant answered.

Azlok raised his hand from the table, and all the lieutenants started to float in the air as Azlok got up and walked past the diner table. He waved his other hand as several portals opened, and his eyes turned red as air pressure from above pressed down all the servants on the floor. Everyone in the dining hall was scared. Was he going to kill everyone?

"All of you have simple assignments, while I have to guard all the prisons in the middle of Valiant because of that damn Wizards. NO WIZARD IS THAT POWERFUL TO CHANGE ALL THE FALLEN KINGDOMS...THERE WAS ONLY ONE WHO DISAPPEARED, AND IT WAS DENDARVEN. KILL ALL THE FOUR WANTED PRISONERS AND BRING THE YOUNG MAN WHO SEALED THE FALLEN KINGDOMS FROM THE WORLD!" He screamed at them and threw all his lieutenants into the portal they belonged to.

We saw the message, and Mejni didn't seem able to close his mouth. The box circled a couple of times, and we waited for the box to say something.

'Interesting announcement from the Queen. We will resume the game now. To pass this sublevel, you need to pass the stars to the other side of the field. I need to warn you, some of the stars will fall, and you will vanish if you jump on the wrong star.'

I knew there was going to be something that would kill us. Mejni was still shocked that the Queen had included him in the wanted list. I was not surprised, though; they can't exactly tell people they released us, and off we went. She needed to release a statement; it would be wrong if the one killing the king strolled around like nothing happened, so she only protected herself from the civilians.

"Box! How many lives do we have?" I asked.

'None!' It answered.
