Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 The space didn't appear?

In her previous life, before the Apocalypse began, Qin Qian was just a naive, brainless little rabbit, well-protected by her parents.

She considered herself an orphan and didn't want to fall out with her uncle's family.

She just wanted to live a good life, safeguarding her parents' assets.

However, after returning from the Apocalypse, Qin Qian would no longer tolerate this insolent servant.

She walked over and plopped down on the sofa, "Where's my Older Female Cousin?"

Aunt Sun rolled her eyes, "Lin Meijiao isn't home; you've come at a bad time."

"We just spoke on the phone; she said she was home. Go tell her I'm here."

Qin Qian remained expressionless, directly calling her out.

Aunt Sun's face stiffened, then she sneered, "I apologize, Miss Qin. My legs haven't been well these past few days, so I can't go up and down the stairs. I'm afraid you'll have to call the Young Miss yourself~"

Qin Qian didn't insist, but instead said, "Alright, then you can make me some tea."

She scoffed, "My legs aren't well."

"Oh, do you use your legs to make tea?"

Aunt Sun couldn't hold back any longer, "You bitch whose parents are dead, do you really think you're something special?! I..."

"Aunt Sun!" An angry voice came from the stairs on the second floor, "How can you speak like that? This is my younger sister!"

Lin Meijiao, wearing a light pink camisole nightgown, walked down from upstairs.

Qin Qian immediately stood up and gave her a sweet smile, instantly dazzling Lin Meijiao's eyes.

Lin Meijiao gritted her teeth, secretly envying, 'This bitch is truly beautiful, so beautiful it makes one want to destroy her!'

Her skin was luminous, and her figure was slender and petite, yet well-proportioned.

Her long, curly, deep chestnut-brown hair fell to her waist, shimmering like satin, like golden threads.

She had a childish doll-like face, yet she was alluring and seductive, more captivating than a fox spirit.

However... why did those clear, foolish black eyes from before seem different today?

Seeing her come out, Aunt Sun quickly said, "I apologize, Young Miss, I didn't know you had an appointment."

Lin Meijiao scolded with some anger, "In a few days, it will be my aunt and uncle's death anniversary. My younger sister came to discuss the memorial arrangements with me. How could you say such things?"

Qin Qian was too lazy to mock her; 'Act, keep acting.'

Without her mistress's tacit approval, how would an employee dare to speak to the employer's relative like that?

It was fine when Lin Meijiao didn't mention the Qin Family couple, but as soon as she did, Aunt Sun became even more enraged.

Her teeth ground audibly, and she suppressed her anger again and again, "I apologize, I know I was wrong."

Lin Meijiao continued, "I lost my mother at a young age. If it weren't for my aunt's endless love and care, how would I be where I am today? From now on, you must not speak ill of my aunt."

Aunt Sun's chest heaved violently, her still-charming face filled with fury.

Qin Qian glanced at her and thought, 'Wow, this is the first time I've seen someone so angry that white smoke is coming out of their head.'

'How laughable, has this steamer turned into a spirit, or has she awakened a Steamed Bun Supernatural Ability?'

Lin Meijiao's few words were truly sharp, directly poking at people's sore spots.

If it were this day in her previous life, the innocent and lovely Qin Qian would have truly believed her Older Female Cousin was speaking up for her.

But now she saw clearly that her Older Female Cousin's malice wasn't forged by the hardships of the Apocalypse.

It had always been there, ever since she followed her father to the city and met the Qin Family.

It had already been secretly and continuously growing, thriving wildly in her heart.

She was too foolish to have never noticed.

Aunt Sun went to make tea, and her Older Female Cousin sat beside Qin Qian, comforting her.

Qin Qian didn't waste much time with pleasantries, but directly brought up the matter of commemorating her parents.

Qin Qian's fair, delicate hands occasionally brushed away stray hairs from her forehead, and her captivating gaze made Lin Meijiao's heart clench.

The two sisters were seventy percent similar, yet why was it that the thirty percent difference in their looks created such a vast disparity in their beauty?

Lin Meijiao's beauty would definitely make her a campus belle at school.

But as soon as she stood next to Qin Qian, she became a joke, unable to even share the spotlight equally.

'Why!'

Aunt Sun finished making the tea and brought it over.

Lin Meijiao smiled and said, "Aunt Sun, your legs haven't been well lately, be careful when you walk~"

Aunt Sun was stunned for a moment, then smiled, "Don't worry, Young Miss, I'm fine... Oh, oh dear!"

Aunt Sun pretended to stumble, and the scalding tea on the tray splashed directly towards Qin Qian's face.

If it hit her face, disfigurement would be certain.

Qin Qian's eyes narrowed, and she swiftly dodged.

But she only managed to dodge halfway; a significant amount of water still splashed onto Qin Qian's dress.

Lin Meijiao immediately cried out in alarm, "Oh no, Aunt Sun, what happened to you? I told you to be careful! Younger sister, are you alright? Are you scalded?"

Qin Qian knew why she was here and didn't immediately react.

Aunt Sun quickly said, "I'm sorry, Miss Qin, my legs really aren't well, you see I wasn't lying, right?"

Her face was filled with disappointment; she actually failed to ruin this little bitch's seductive face!

How infuriating!

Lin Meijiao said, "Younger sister, quickly go to my room and change your clothes, otherwise how will you go home soaked like this?"

Qin Qian didn't refuse; this was exactly what she wanted.

"Okay, then Older Female Cousin, come with me to change clothes."

A hint of triumph flickered in Lin Meijiao's eyes. She was about to agree when her phone suddenly rang.

She waved her hand grandly, "I'm going to answer the phone. You go change yourself. Everything of Older Female Cousin's is yours. Whichever you like, I'll give it to you."

Back then, young Lin Meijiao's family was still very poor.

The first time she went to the Qin Family and saw her younger sister's wardrobe full of clothes, Qin Qian had said the same thing to her.

At that time, Lin Meijiao felt that Qin Qian was showing off her wealth and humiliating her.

Now, the tables had turned, and it was finally her turn to give Qin Qian good things.

Qin Qian went upstairs and entered the room.

Behind her, Aunt Sun's voice sounded, "Young Miss, how dare you let her go in alone? Aren't you afraid she'll steal something?

She's fallen on hard times now, and your room is full of good things she's never seen before."

"Don't say anything more, Aunt Sun. Go make dinner, I'm hungry."

"Oh... you are too kind-hearted."

...Qin Qian sneered, ignoring the act put on by the mistress and servant.

Clutching the jade pendant in her hand, she felt its presence and, guided by the jade pendant, quickly found the other piece.

The jade pendants were connected; as long as they appeared within a certain range of each other, they could sense each other.

With an excited heart, Qin Qian joined the two priceless ice-jade Yin-Yang fish together.

They formed a perfect, flawless circle.

Intricately carved with various patterns and characters.

Qin Qian pulled out an extremely similar replica and put it back in its original place.

This was from when Qin Qian was in high school and needed a jade pendant prop for a video segment. She thought her mother's jade pendant was beautiful and wanted to borrow it.

Her mother said it was passed down from her grandmother and was meant for Qin Qian's wedding, so she was afraid she would damage it.

So, she specifically found someone to make a fake using cheap jade material.

Unexpectedly, it actually came in handy now.

Qin Qian took the jade pendant into the bathroom and locked the door.

She placed the jade pendant on the sink, pulled out a utility knife, cut her finger, and let the blood drip onto the jade pendant.

Soon, the crimson liquid covered every pattern on the jade pendant.

Just like in her previous life, the jade pendant emitted a golden light.

Two light orbs flew out from within, intertwined and tangled in mid-air, finally merging into one and drilling into Qin Qian's seven orifices.

Qin Qian only felt a warmth spread through her body, like a warm embrace, gently encircling her.

"Qian Qian..."

It was her mother's voice.

Qin Qian choked up, tears slowly falling... After the golden light disappeared, Qin Qian concentrated on sensing the space.

However, her mind was utterly silent.

She was startled, 'Did something go wrong? Did she fail to summon the space in this life?'
