Chapter 80 - The Nine Realms’ Greatest Sorcerer Drew His Dagger

The instant Valkyrie stepped out of the hatch, Bant narrowed his eyes and noticed her.

But he didn't recognize her as the Valkyrie who appeared in Thor: Ragnarok.

Because the Valkyrie in front of him hadn't been "made black" for the sake of some so-called correctness.

In truth, her skin was fair, her features delicate, and her long golden hair spilled down her back. You could still vaguely see traces of the warrior who once looked down on battlefields.

Then Valkyrie lowered her head, her gaze complicated as she took in Bant and the unconscious Loki.

"Asgard… why do you cling to me like a nightmare?"

Sadness flickered across her expression as she let out a sigh, but her eyes quickly turned cold. She pinched two round devices between her fingers and flicked them through the air, throwing one onto Loki and one onto Bant.

In the movie Thor: Ragnarok, Thor was knocked out by this little thing more than once.

But in reality, it wasn't a stun gun. It was a kind of neurotoxin. As long as you were a living being, it was hard to resist its effects.

Bant wasn't worried. He only needed to become the Diamond War God to shave off the affected part of his body, or turn into Goop and let it become part of him.

Only after doing that did Valkyrie haul both Bant and Loki onto the ship.

She clearly didn't recognize Loki. Long ago, the Valkyries had vanished from Asgard.

Over the years, she occasionally heard news about Asgard from outsiders, but she had always deliberately avoided it, refusing to listen.

"These two… they're seriously weak," she muttered, glancing at Bant and Loki with clear dissatisfaction at their frail bodies.

Right now, she was hesitating whether to deliver them to the arena, or simply sell them to the mines to dig.

At that moment, Loki finally woke from his coma.

Unlike in the movie, he had taken the Bifrost's energy head-on. After crashing onto Sakaar, he remained unconscious until now, to the point he'd become someone else's prisoner.

How could a man who had always been a prince of Asgard tolerate that?

So the moment Loki understood his situation, he immediately started cursing Valkyrie at the top of his lungs.

"You dare kidnap Odin's son, the God-King of Asgard! Release me at once, or I'll show you the wrath of a God-King!"

Valkyrie couldn't be bothered to waste words on merchandise, but hearing Loki's claim, she still turned her head. Surprise flashed across her face, along with a complex emotion that was hard to describe.

"You're the God-King of Asgard? Where's Odin? Is he dead?"

She seemed to look forward to it, yet there was also something mournful hidden underneath.

Loki naturally wouldn't expose his own filthy deeds. He only sneered, looking unfathomable.

"That's none of your concern. You only need to understand my nobility and kneel at my feet. Otherwise, Asgard's army will soon trample this planet into dust!"

"Idiot." Valkyrie rolled her eyes.

She felt Loki had more than a few screws loose to say something like that. "I must be wasted if I believed a lunatic like you."

She shook her head.

There was no way the throne of Asgard could ever belong to Loki, because right now Loki looked like an absolute clown.

"If you really are the God-King, then I'd say Ragnarok isn't far off for Asgard."

"You dare look down on me?!" Loki exploded.

All the humiliation he'd suffered these past few days, fine, he could swallow it. After all, his strength really wasn't enough. He couldn't beat others. That was on him.

But this person in front of him was just a woman, and she dared mock him?

More importantly, Valkyrie dared say to his face that he had no ability to rule Asgard!

It was like stabbing Loki's wound again, then dumping a bucket of chili water over it.

"I'll show you what it means to be the Nine Realms' greatest sorcerer!" Loki's face turned vicious.

In the next instant, two daggers appeared out of nowhere in his hands.

Yes. The Nine Realms' greatest sorcerer drew his dagger.

And that still wasn't the most ridiculous part. The most ridiculous part was this: when Valkyrie saw Loki trying to resist and pressed the neurotoxin trigger, the Loki who looked ready for a grand battle instantly turned into an illusion.

"Aaaah!"

Another Loki screamed, revealed his true body, then fell straight down.

From his position and angle, it wasn't hard to tell he'd been trying to sneak away.

"The Nine Realms' greatest sorcerer? The King of Asgard? This is it?" Valkyrie looked like she wanted to laugh. Go evolve a few more stages and come back.

Then her gaze shifted to Bant. "And you? How long are you going to keep pretending?"

Valkyrie had clearly seen through Bant's fake sleep long ago. Bant opened his eyes and sat up, looking at Loki, who had gone "straight" for the rest of his life, then asked, "You're a Valkyrie?"

At first, Bant hadn't paid attention to Valkyrie's identity. But her attitude toward Asgard and Odin confused him. Then he noticed the Valkyrie mark on her arm.

Valkyrie snorted lightly and didn't answer. Instead, after hearing Bant's words, Loki suddenly sat straight up.

"A Valkyrie? Asgard still has a surviving Valkyrie?" Loki's face was full of shock. Then he turned to Bant. "And who are you? Where's that stinking rock?"

Bant didn't answer him. He kept looking at Valkyrie.

He had to admit, this Valkyrie was very beautiful. Bant could only say he preferred this world without "correctness."

"Valkyrie?" Valkyrie gave a cold laugh, grabbed a bottle of alcohol, and chugged it down. In an irritated tone, she said, "I stopped being a Valkyrie a long time ago. And I'm not interested in getting involved in anything Asgard-related."

After saying that, she didn't look at Bant or Loki again. She started the ship and headed for the arena.

The ship flew in Valkyrie's hands in a wildly crooked line. Bant and Loki bounced from one side to the other, shaken so badly they almost threw up.

"This is drunk driving. On Earth, you'd go to jail!" Bant shouted.

But Valkyrie ignored him.

More than ten minutes later, the ship crossed most of Sakaar. From far away, they could already see a towering spire.

It was a cyberpunk-style gladiator arena. All kinds of machinery were assembled into a cube, with a sealed roof.

A towering totem tower stood on top, carved with the faces of warriors who had won the arena championship over the years.

Bant looked over and immediately saw a new face still under construction.

The face looked gaunt, with four eyes. The helmet had a pair of raised sharp horns on both sides.

Bant felt that face looked familiar.

But before he could think further, Valkyrie brought the ship down.

"Next, I'm selling the two of you," she said. "I advise you to show some respect to this planet's ruler, the Red King."
