Suddenly someone slams the door open. "YOOOOOOO! ROBE-. Uh oh, I apologize for my inconvenience.", Joshep said while closing the door. I snapped out of reality, and jumped out of my chair. Not because I felt embarrassed, but because her face seemed familiar. "Am I overthinking or does she actually look like someone I know? But who does she look like?", I asked myself.
I wasn't too embarrassed but Nadia was, she sprinted leaving me in the room alone. Robert came in the room and called my name, but I was too deep in thought. "Hey Robert, snap out of it already!", Joshep screamed. I looked around confused and asked Robert what had happend. But then he asked me," You gotta tell me what you did first. Why did that girl just run away?"
"Huh? Who ran away?", I asked Joshep. After saying that, I was greated with a solid punch to the abdomen. I gasped for air,"What was that for?". Then he gave me the most terrifying smile ever and asked,"Now then Mr. Robert, how about to look around this room and think who is missing." Then I realised, Nadia ran away. I instantly stood up and tried looking for her. But while I was running, I finally realized what I was trying to do with her. And the sheer thought of that made me lose ballance and fall face first on the ground.
Althought, I kind person saw me lying on the ground and thought of helping me. But when he saw my face, he decided to drop me and run away. After that I stood up by myself, and walked to the nurses room. I sat there while I was getting treated, and remembered what that guy did. It reminded me of that incident again."Ugh, I thought I had forgotten about this.", I thought to myself. Once I was treated, I thanked the nurse and though of looking for Nadia. But as I was about to leave the room, I saw the same person that left me on the ground, but this time he was with Nadia.
The only thing that was stopping me from snapping out was Nadia. It seemed she had also gotten injured, and he was just helping her. I wanted a word with that person, so I waited outside for him. And as he walked outside, I stopped him," Hey you. Got a moment?" The guy looked at me with annoyed eyes and said," Huh? What is it, speak quick." I looked at him dead in the eye and asked," Why did you leave me on the ground? Is it that you only help females, or is it something else?"
"It's just you. And don't ask me why it's just you, don't try acting dumb.", he answered. Suddenly it hit me,"Oh, so that's what it was. How could I forget." After a while, Nadia stepped out of the nurses room, and I immediately apologized for my actions,"Nadia, I am really sorry for what I did, I really didn't mean to I was really just zoning out and didn't know what was happening-"
But before I could finish talking, she kissed me on my cheek and ran off. I couldn't even comprehend what had happend. But as I was processing what was happening, the bell rang. After that I headed back to class and took my seat, while ignoring Nadia. I covered my face because of how embarrassed I got. I slowly look at Nadia and told her," You idiot, did you forget we sit beside eachother?" She responded with a slight nod.
Every passing minute felt agonising. I kept looking at the clock while still avoiding Nadia. But when the class was about to end. Nadia said," Can you stop thinking about it, in my family it's normal to give kisses as long as it's on their cheek, so stop." I don't know how but it made me feel somewhat better. After that, the class ended and it was time to return home, I got my stuff and waited for Nadia. Once she arrived, we stared to head back home, but I had to buy some groceries so I told Nadia to wait while I got the things I needed.
After that we reached home and I got changed, after that I started preparing lunch but then I heard a knock on my door. I opened the door to see that it was Nadia. "Oh hey, what happened? Did you miss something earlier today morning?", I asked her. She looked at me confused and told me,"What do you mean? Did you forget, we need to practice dance. "
When I heard those words I knew I was doomed. At first, because i fell asleep yesterday, we have zero progress. Which ment we had to practice everything at once. "Alright, let's get to practicing, we don't have another choice.", I sighed. And then began my misery. Attempt after attempt, correction after correction, fail after fail. Finally, after several hours of hardwork, we finally had it done.
After that, I was completely exhausted. So I went to sleep. I woke up the next day, everything was normal. But once I got to school it wasn't soo normal. I was summoned in the dance hall along with Nadia and many other people. It was obvious that it was for our selection, so I started preparing mentally. The other contestants went one by one, with their dance which were all very impressive.
Eventually, it was our turn. I get into position and the music starts to play. I had memorized the dance moves very well and performed everything almost perfectly, on Nadia's hand aswell, she was doing the same but she had more experience on her face. Seeing that, I tried to do the same. But as I was doing that, I lost balance and when I thought we were going to fall. I used my other leg to gain balance, then I swiftly turned my body while holding Nadia in the air and ending it off with a bow.
I looked at Nadia, and we both laughed. But, all the judges were unfazed. Not just them, but everyone in the room seemed to just...not care.
