Chapter 115 - Chapter 114: Zealous Sister

"Do try out." Charles motioned for Lelouch to sit on the throne.

The Emperor-To-Be looked at his father.

"Very well." The Inventor walked over and sat down in the throne. The throne was more like a chair than anything fancy. Like the one he has in Constantinople.

As he sat down, he looked around. At least the Hall is huge. Hundreds of people could easily fit.

"Now that you are here, we can discuss the transition and my retirement." The Former Emperor went right to the point.

"I have heard that your faction has decent building experience… like what you did in Indonesia."

He knew where this was going…

"You want an Island for yourself?"

'Napoleon treatment… wait, in this world, he was executed.'

Marcus pondered the difference. Code Geass is a world where the Battle of Trafalgar ended with victory for France, not Britain.

So this is truly an alternative reality.

"Indeed. You do know that my dream ended up… blown apart in the most literal sense." Charles reminded his son that he blew up his secret society.

"I am against testing with the world. Especially, we have no idea of the consequences." Marcus sighed. He is crazy that much; he knows, he placed a fusion reactor under his academy, which could be dangerous, but his old man?

He wanted to kill the afterlife…

*Snort*

"I want a tropical island." The Former Emperor declared.

"Fine by me. Pick any one you want. We will build a nice cottage for you." The Emperor-To-Be suggested.

"Good. Now for another thing. You want me to explain to Nunnally what happened to Marianne? You can ask Marianne herself about it." Charles dropped the bombshell.

"...What do you mean by that?" Marcus pretended to be shocked for a second.

"Hmm? C.C. didn't tell you, did she now?" The Old man smirked.

"Your Mother is alive, in a way." His words caused Leila and Schneizel to look at the old former Emperor with wide eyes.

"Her Geass allows her to transfer consciousness to another person. She is alive inside one of the Knights of the Round Table."

"If this is true… I can bring her back to life." Marcus stroked his chin as he already had ideas how he could do that.

It has been a while since he studied genetics in depth.

"..." The Former Emperor looked at his son. He was a bit… impressed.

"I have been dipping my feet into biology for a while. As someone who wants to rule the galaxy, I can't die after merely living for around a hundred years." The Inventor explained to them.

"Hahaha. So that's how it is."

Charles laughed. It would seem Lelouch is not that different from him! Not at all! Instead of taking the Geass route, his son takes the technology route.

"Very well. Your Mother inhabits the body of a girl by the name Anya Alstreim. She is a Knight of Six." The Former Emperor explained with a smirk.

He got a bit motivated. Marianne was always his favourite. He can retire with his favourite wife now, that's a life he can get behind.

"I see. This Geass sounds interesting. Consciousness transfer could come in handy." Marcus stroked his chin. He could revolutionise medicine for one.

Transferring from a broken body into a new one that would improve survivability considerably.

The only thing he needs to do is boost his understanding of biology.

"Do whatever you want, Lelouch. Now for your ceremony."

The Former Emperor began discussing how they would crown the 11th Prince.

Charles even mentioned that Lelouch was never exiled in the first place. He might have moved the Prince away to Japan, but he never accepted his Son's desire to abandon his claim to the throne.

And so they decided that in a month there will be a huge ceremony to crown the Emperor of the World.

Indeed. It was no longer the Emperor of Britannia… but the whole world.

~~~
"Fascinating… I never imagined you would achieve such a high level of technology." The Blonde Prince quickly got enlisted to work. Now that Britannia and Anaheim are one and the same, Marcus wants his competent siblings around. Among them is Schneizel.
The Blonde Prince is an incredible administrator.
The Emperor-to-be took Solomon's Base. Where a huge operations centre is in place, it's the brain of his Anaheim.
Military movements, construction-related activities, Legion bots and all of that.
Schneizel's eyes ended up on three pillars that came out from the Planet's equator. These were the three Space elevators that will assist in space logistics.
"Conquests of the world were just the beginning," Marcus said to his sibling as he looked at the massive hologram in the middle of the room.
Now that the war is over, the shift from conflicts to construction is happening.
The Emperor-To-Be is going to utilise his huge military assets in construction work, just as the Romans did.
Laying roads, building infrastructure, he can utilise his war machine just for that.
"I have the entire solar system planned out, how it will be. In less than ten years, we will have humans on every single planet around our glorious Sun. Isn't it exciting?"
Marcus said with crossed arms.
"...I guess it is. I still need to process that this is happening." The blonde shook his head. The amount of… planning his little brother did is a bit… extreme. But that is most likely why Britannia has lost.
"Yes, well, take your time. You can adjust to this by starting to work on the Space Elevator around Panama. It's where the Britannian Elevator will be. There is one in central Africa and one here, in the Solomon Islands.
Logistics teams will brief you on how to utilise Anaheim's technology."
Marcus explained to him and showed him on the hologram how things work.
Schneizel nodded several times as he stroked his chin. The Blonde prince is starting to like this. It feels… like chess in a way? With another form of tabletop game.
Only with consequences in the real world.
Organising like this, interacting with pictures, zooming in and out. He could easily design buildings, cities…
'Or weapons… I see, so that's how it…'
The Prince realises that's how it was, how Marcus was able to develop such cutting-edge weaponry like Mobile suits.
"This is fascinating."
"I know. Just wait for bigger projects, my dear brother, you will be blown away.
Eventually, I can leave you to govern a couple of planets at some point.
I am not like our old man… rest assured, this is meritocracy.
Good job means good awards… especially when Land is not an issue… especially."
The blonde prince smiled a bit. This does sound good.
"Good to hear… Your Majesty." Schneizel bowed just a bit.
"Yes, well, enjoy your stay in Solomon's Base. I have things to do." He sighed for a bit as he checked his phone. His nerdy pinkette girlfriend is asking how he is doing.
He can't let her get nervous.
"Very well."
With that said, Marcus went to the upper levels where he summoned Tiranis. It took him less than an hour to return to his Capital.
The Mech, with a flip, landed in front of the Palace. Moments later, the Emperor-To-Be got out and strolled inside.
"Marcus!" Anna glided to his side as she ended up snuggling into his hands.
He smiled as he gently hugged her.
"Don't worry, everything is fine. My old man surprised me a bit, but it is okay, we were ready for such surprises." He stroked her back before taking her to the closest couch and taking a seat.
The Inventor Prince placed her on his lap as he cuddled with her.
Anna's eyes gleamed with happiness. She loved the attention she was getting at the moment.
"Good. With how large our military is, such riots don't mean that much." The girl snuggled into his chest. She didn't like such rebels. Now that she will be a mother, she doesn't want to see a threat to their new glorious empire.
"Indeed."
'Though… Quality of pilots is lacking… they need more training.'
One would say that, now that he rules the world, he should lower the number of soldiers he has, as it's more cost-effective to maintain the peace.
But that is far from the truth…
His military will only grow as deep space expeditions and infrastructure development continue; both require manpower.
Switching from piloting mobile suits to piloting mobile workers it not that much of a difference.
"Indeed. It was nobles who rebelled, not regular people. They are a bit different." Marcus grinned as he recalled what he did to them.
With fewer useless people around, more space for him to give to useful ones! Easy!
Anna giggled a bit as she closed her eyes and enjoyed his warmth.
The Emperor-to-Be smiled at her. He decided to rest as well and nap a bit. He was nervous now that it was over; he could relax with the lovely girl in his lap.
~~~

*Poke*

*Poke*

*Poke*

Marcus could tell that someone was poking his cheek.

"Mhnn~?" The Inventor Prince opened his eyes; his vision was a bit blurry for a moment, and he snapped out of it to see smiling Anna looking at him behind her. There was Leila, and next to her… was…

"...Is that you, Marrybell?" He needed to put a name to a face.

"Indeed it is, brother, or Your Majesty?" His Imperial Sister slightly bowed at him.

"Brother is fine, I haven't been crowned yet." The Emperor-To-Be massaged his eyes; he still wanted to nap, as it was amazing.

"Good. I do apologise for interrupting you, but we want to know what to do. As Britannia still has a military, we require orders." The girl explained that her knight was next to her.

Marcus finally saw what Oldrin looks like—the blonde knight from the side stories.

"Is that so… What about our old man?"

"Old man? Fufufu." Marrybell giggled at him calling Charles 'old man'.

"Sadly, all he said was that he doesn't give a damn anymore." The Princess shrugged, making him groan.

"Fine… I suppose it is time to disarm Britannia." He made Anna stand up as he got up and stretched a bit before giving the guests a good look.

He hasn't seen Marrybell in years.

"Well, follow me." He motioned them to follow him.

They left one of the countless living rooms in the Palace and strolled to his command centre.

It was not a real 'Command Centre', but it was good enough to issue commands to his armies around the world.

"...I do want to… remind you, brother, that my Glinda Knights are quite capable, I hope you don't dismiss us." Marrybell looked hopefully at him, and her knight had an intense but nervous look.

"Relax. No such thing, I most likely integrate you into my Special Forces program, alongside my G-Force and Cornelia's Glaston Knights." He smiled at his sister, making her nod with a smile, and her knight sighed in relief.

"You do know that I was following your progress in the military, I did wanted to… relocate you."

"...Relocate?" Marrybell looked at Leila and Anna; she had no idea what this meant.

"What he meant was to kidnap you. That's how he is collecting talent… us included." Leila explained while motioning to her and her friend.

"...yet… You are lovers now…" Marrybell was surprised. So the whole truth about his kidnapping of a blonde girl from the European Frontline was not made-up stuff.

Good to know.

"More than that…" Anna smiled as he rubbed her tummy. That action made the girls realise something!

"....she is…"

"Yes. You could say, I am not the only one who can scheme." Marcus sighed. He got played. But, it was something he was expecting anyway.

"...Wow… never thought that I would be an Aunt…"

"You already are."

The Princess snapped her gaze at her brother.

"...W-Who? I never heard…" She looked shaken for a second.

"Sakuya Sumeragi is our Niece, our oldest sister. Sherry Me Brittania married Jugo Sumeragi a while back, they were living in Hokkaido."

"...I-I see…" Marrybell looked spooked as she looked at Oldrin.

"Oldrin, we need to visit her! I can't believe I am an aunt! What kind of gift should I bring her!?" The Princess looked shaken! This was new to her!

Marcus looked amused as his sibling. It has been a while since he has seen so many of his siblings in a single day.
