Chapter 138 - Book Two, Chapter 13: Family Time

"Magnificent! Truly! As expected from our glorious Emperor!" Lloyd did a spin as he looked at three machines brought to their main hangar in Lagrange 3 base behind the sun.

"So these are Gundams from a different reality. The question is, why does a different reality has Gundam like machines?" Rakshasa commented as she took a small smoke of her kiseru pipe.

"How are they so similar… from size to style?" She commented as she looked from top to bottom.

'This technology is so different. This is deja vu all over again.'

"I hope you don't want us to learn everything about these machines in a matter of days." The developer woman had a resigned voice; she had a bad experience with her last employer, a.k.a. Marcus' family.

"I am not that desperate," Marcus replied as he was there with Suzaku and Jeanne.

"Good." She nodded with a relieved look.

"However." He looked at Lloyd.

"I need you to improve the reactor. My initial data on Eezo is that we could improve it to the next generation and improve the output of our beam technology."

"I see. So they are lacking compared to these machines?"

"Indeed, and I want you, Rakshata, to figure out the metal. I have data from Veda for you to cross-reference this."

"Leave it to me, Your Majesty, this is just what I wanted to do anyway. Technology from a different fabric of reality." The woman almost licked her lips.

"Good, now that this is out of the way, Lloyd, you can contact Nina and ask her to assist you in the development of Eezo powered Fusion Reactor. This is crucial because we could face Gundams with proper GN technology who are decent fighters, unlike these machine pilots." Marcus explained to them. This was far more important; he didn't want to move more than necessary resources from his reality to the Gundam 00-verse.

He is far too paranoid to remove military might from a galaxy where he knows that Reapers are real and they could awaken early because of his empire's scientific might.

"Understood, you can leave that to me. I was having fun with Eezo. I can send you a detailed report."

"Do that. But first I need to see wives. It has been a couple of weeks." The moment he mentioned that, the nerdy scientist had this pitying look.

"Do that, Your Majesty, Empress Anna had this look which is telling me that she can't focus on her work 100%."

"I see. I guess I was stretching." Marcus chuckled. He knew her quite well.

"Indeed."

Marcus returned home in his Mobile Suit. After storing on its pedestal in the hangar, he took the lift to his workshop. Once in his workshop, he changed his clothes and left the room.

Once back in his palace, he walked through the corridors to one of the living rooms where his wives most of the time hang out.

His eyes perked up as he saw Leila and Anna working with their laptops on their laps; the pair looked like mothers working from home.

The Emperor sneaked behind them before wrapping his hands around them.

"Guess who?"

"..." Leila rolled her eyes before smiling at him.

"Mark!" Anna's eyes brightened as she placed her laptop to the side and hugged him.

"...Really? Working with laptops?" The Inventor joked about their love of old tech.

"Never mind that! How you been!?" she swiftly let him go before standing up from the couch and walking around it to hug him properly.

"Brought three Gundams from a different reality."

Leila's eyebrow went up. Gundams from a different reality?

'Some sort of echo from our world to theirs? Is it like a gun? Something human would develop regardless of reality?'

The blonde turned on her conspiracy brain for a second, but then she snapped out when she saw Anna making out with Marcus!

"Hey! I am still here, you know?" The blonde complained about her sister doing that in front of her like that!

After the sloppy kiss ended, Anna pulled back and looked at Leila.

"What of it? We are sisters anyway~." The pinkette smirked while saying that.

"Hmph. Still, you are an Empress!"

"And I am showing an example~ after five years of marriage I still love my Emperor~" the nerdy Empress puffed proudly, she was proud and leading by example in her opinion.

The blonde rolled her eyes, but she moved her laptop to the side as she got up and got into her husband's hands.

"You are right. We should be leading by example~." She agreed as she kissed him as well.

It turned into another sloppy kiss that lasted for a minute before she pulled back and looked at him from top to bottom.

"We should catch up," Leila suggested as he looked at the maid waiting in the room.

"Take our laptops to our rooms, and prepare some tea and snacks."

"Understood, Your Majesty."

After issuing commands, Anna and Leila pulled their husband onto the couch as they settled in. The maids swiftly sprang into action by taking their laptops.

"So, tell me what that world looks like?" Leila asked while Anna waited patiently for him to explain.

"You didn't read the reports?" He asked her curiously.

"I did, but I want to hear it from you." She ended up leaning into his shoulder as her finger stroked his chest.

"Well, all I can say is that it's a world that failed to unite itself; it would be similar looking to our Earth before my rebellion and war for independence." Marcus compared as he wrapped his hands around the two of them.

"And technology."

"Now that's an interesting topic." He smiled a bit as he began to explain the brain drain problem of that world. It's a unique situation in which the world has suffered because of a hidden organisation that has been working for 200 years to develop specific technology and build Gundams.

When Leila heard that, she felt a small sense of deja vu. Wasn't it similar to them? Anaheim did a similar thing. But because of Sakuradite, Marcus was able to do it much quicker than this Celestial Being.

Yet, part of her was a bit in awe. As she got a comparison, how quickly Marcus developed his machine and how quickly Celestial Being did.

After all, both of them based their tech around a specific thing.

Marcus' tech is based around the Fusion Reactor, and Celestial Being is based around their Solar Reactor.

The only thing his darling wife doesn't understand is that he didn't just make it in mere 8 years or so. No spend more than he did in his previous life. But even so, in his opinion, Solar Reactor technology is superior because it produces a higher-tier element in the form of a particle, unlike his Fusion Reactor, which is simply a power source.

Though over the years, his science team developed a gravity particle via the resonance effect, it is not superior to the GN particle.

Not yet, at least. They will see how good the Eezo-powered Fusion Reactor is.

Will it springboard his tech further? Who knows, it is a bit exciting.

"So that's how that world is… it is a bit strange how a world without sakuradite is." Anna nodded a couple of times. She is interested; the girl is thinking of visiting this world… and maybe making another date.

'And maybe a son this time… fufu~'

The girl's green eyes gleamed with a desire as she wanted another child.

"And their space elevators?" Leila asked. She already read the reports, but she wants to hear Marcus nerd out about tech related to space. She found it cute.

"Oh, those… well–"

~~~
After spending about two hours with his two lovely wives, he went to look for his children and his other, certain red-haired wife, who is working as a babysitter this time.
"Guess who?" Marcus pulled the same thing on Kallen as he wrapped his hands around the beauty, watching their children play in Inner Palace Gardens.
"..." Kallen smirked as she moved her head to the side and looked at him.
"Do you think I would allow anyone to get this close to me if not for my husband?" The ace pilot snorted as she leaned into his back.
"Is that so? Good to know that my darling is as sharp as ever." Marcus hugged her closer as he watched his baby girls playing hide-and-seek.
Though his little Conqueror was drawing something on the terrace.
He is quite excited about his Trojan. His boy inherited his talents. From a small age, he noticed that he loves to draw, not something like pictures, but more like sketches. His son fell in love with Gundams from the very beginning, maybe because of their size or aura.
But Gundams fascinated his son, and that is something Marcus was happy about!
"Hmm, yes, well, you didn't take me on your new adventure," Kallen complained, but this is where Marcus got dead serious.
"...Kallen, I need you here. You and Cornelia, I need you to protect our Empire's borders… I have a very bad feeling about what is lurking in the depths of space.
Our Ancestors most likely ran away from this threat to other realities…"
"..."
"I see…" Kallen got a chill when she heard that. She rarely sees her husband this serious; she hopes it's nothing major that they can't overcome.
"I have Suzaku and Jeanne who can assist me in fights." He reminded her that he had his G-Force, Royal Guards and A.S.P.
"You still need to build machines for Jeanne, Oldrin and Marrybell. Did you forget about them?" Kallen had an amused glint in her eyes as she saw him stiffen for a second.
"You are right. In the reality I am visiting, I can't have my armada with me. So, I might as well go with quality over quantity."
"Indeed, do that. Your surprise will make their day." Kallen is certain those three will be over the moon if they get their Gundams.
"I do ideas for their machines, so we are not far from it." He nodded at her as he placed his head on her shoulder, and he proceeded to hug his 'Warrior' Empress.
Around ten minutes later, one of his little girls noticed their father.
*Gasp*
"Papa!"
The red-haired girl forgot about the game and dashed towards the couple who were simply cuddling, that was until they saw their daughter dash over.
"MAMA! Not fair! I want Papa to hug me too!" The girl complained as she puffed her cheeks like a hamster.
"Okay-okay." Kallen rolled her eyes as she moved a bit to the side, making the little girl smirk. She swiftly got into her father's hands.
"Hug!"
"As my Princess commands~~" Marcus smirked back as he scooped his daughter on his lap.
Before long, his other girl noticed that her little sister was no longer playing.
"Not fair, Julia!" The black-haired daughter of the Emperor dashed over like a missile.
"I want to hug Papa as well!" She got herself onto one of his legs and ended up hugging her father.
Marcus felt a bit stuffed with two of them trying to hug him…
Kallen started laughing as she got away and looked at the pair of them trying to squeeze the Inventor Emperor.
"Relax, you two…. No need to try so hard." He ended up patting both of their head.
"Hmph!"
Claudia pulled back a bit.
"Okay. Anyway, Papa, did you have anything for us?"
The Emperor rolled his eyes. Of course, they want gifts… thankfully, he had Milly, Euphemia, and Marrybell to help him buy things for these two.
As it's quite easy with his son. As he always gets model figures of all sorts to help develop his talent and mind, but for these two?
They want toys…
"Of course, I have something. Go and bring Trojan, I have something for him as well."
"Okay!" Julia dashed over to her older brother, who ignored everything so far.
At the mention of gifts, he jumped up excitedly and dashed over with his sister.
