Evelin's POV
Five stitches. That's all it took to patch up my arm.
Honestly, it was nothing. During my special forces days, injuries like this were just another day at the office.
The doctor finished up and I slipped into a fresh hospital gown.
"You'll need to stay overnight for observation. If all goes well, you can head home tomorrow," the doctor explained, scribbling out a prescription.
Since the Hamilton family held shares in this Bellatrix hospital, I got bumped straight to a VIP suite.
The bullet barely grazed me - didn't even really hit. But Jimmy was acting like I might shatter if he looked at me wrong.
I stared at the army of doctors, nurses, and attendants lined up in front of me. This was getting ridiculous.
"Could you give us some space? I'm not really comfortable with this whole crowd thing," I said.
"But your arm..." Jimmy's voice wavered.
"I've got a call button if anything goes wrong. Besides, you're staying, right?"
