I glanced up to find Jimmy striding toward me.
His gorgeous features were set in ice.
Jimmy reached me and captured my hand, then fixed Margot with a lethal stare. "What betrayal? Care to elaborate? I'm dying to hear this."
Margot went rigid, cold sweat beading along her spine. Something primal warned her that spilling the secrets she'd discovered right now might be signing her death warrant.
Her expression turned cunning; it was clear she believed she held an ace in the hole, some information she planned to leverage against Jimmy.
Margot whimpered, "Jimmy, I just think that if you ever betrayed Evelin, knowing her personality, she'd never let it go and never forgive you. She'd definitely turn her back on you without a second glance.
"A woman that unforgiving, that intolerant of any imperfection, really doesn't suit you. You deserve someone who genuinely loves you and accepts you, regardless of what you've done!"
