Evelin's POV
My fist shot forward before I could second-guess myself. Lightning-fast and merciless.
Jensen never saw it coming. My knuckles connected hard with his stomach, and satisfaction surged through me.
If he hadn't been trained, my punch would've sent him sprawling. As it was, he stumbled backward, fighting to stay upright.
He clutched his gut, wincing. The shock on his face was priceless—this proper-looking woman had just clocked him good.
Jensen's laughter erupted suddenly, his stare turning cold and predatory. "You have zero clue who you're messing with, do you? Any idea what that little stunt just cost you?"
I cocked an eyebrow and glanced at Jimmy. "You said your legal team would back me up, right?"
Jimmy looked like he'd been hit by lightning. I'd warned him I'd punch his father if we ever met, but he clearly hadn't expected me to follow through. Especially not this brutally.
"Yeah," he croaked after what felt like forever, still shell-shocked.
