After the exchange on phone between Ricky and Peem. Maxwell suddenly walked into Ricky's room smiling.
"Feeling better?"
"Yes. The medicine helped". Ricky replied.
Maxwell beamed at him. "Oh. Vee just signed his first order. He called to invite everyone for dinner this weekend. Will you come with me?"
Ricky immediately nodded. "Okay"

Maxwell waited for Ricky in the living room. He took too long to dress up. He came out later looking stunning. Maxwell was swept off his feet. He was captivated.
"Mr Kant,I'm dressed let's go". Ricky said.
Maxwell admired him from head to toe. "I told you to dress casually"
Ricky looked at his dress in surprise. "I did"
Maxwell walked over to him. "Casually". He touched Ricky's shoulders. "You get it? Who told you to look this handsome?"
Ricky blushed as Maxwell embraced him sweetly.
"Fine". Maxwell said. "Since you look so good today. I'll tell you a secret"
"What is it?"
"Don't show up this handsome at gatherings again. I'll get jealous when people have their eyes on you". Maxwell stated.
Ricky smiled sheepishly. "Then I'll just go out without washing my face. What about you? You're always attracting people. I'll get jealous too"
Maxwell raised an eyebrow. "Jealous? What are you going to do about that?"
Ricky smirked. "I'll do this". He drew Maxwell closer and kissed his lips hungrily.
It always ended this way whenever Maxwell tried to flirt.

"Come on,drinks on me tonight". Vee announced. "Come on,cheers". He raised his glass to everyone present.
Just then a waiter ushered in Maxwell and Ricky. "Here comes Maxwell". Vee said funnily.
Maxwell rolled his eyes at Vee's foolishness.
Vee noticed Ricky behind Maxwell. "Oh Ricky's here too? Should he be 'Mrs Kant' now?".
Maxwell watched Ricky blush at the statement. "Shove off. He's shy. Stop with the teasing. Don't talk nonsense". Maxwell said to Vee.
"Congrats on the deal". Ricky greeted.
"Thanks Ricky". Vee replied beaming mischievously. "Raymond is over there,let's sit there"
They went over to Raymond and sat opposite him. Maxwell and Raymond conversed for a while not involving the annoying Vee. While Ricky listened sipping his soft drink with a straw. Maxwell suddenly got a call. "I need to take this call. Wait here,I'll be back". He said to Ricky.
"Okay". Ricky nodded.
As soon as Maxwell left the room Vee stood up from his seat and sat beside Ricky who looked ahead nonchalantly still sipping his drink.
Vee leaned closer to him. "Are you bored with Maxwell? Come on. Let me keep you company"
"I'm not bored". Ricky replied.
"I heard you went missing for a while. Maxwell really freaked out when you were gone". Vee gossiped.
Ricky paused for a while. "Was Mr Kant really that anxious?"
"Anxious?". Vee smirked. "He nearly turned the whole state upside down. Honestly,I've never seen Maxwell like this before. He would never have done this. Not for any Omega"
Ricky smiled sweetly.
Maxwell spoke with Edwin on the phone.
"Mr Kant. Intel shows that board members are plotting a chairman re-election to remove you from power". Edwin said.
"Why?". Maxwell frowned.
"Recently,we've snatched all KB's bids,shorted their stocks and spent heavily on targeted drugs. Shareholders say this has caused irreversible impact on Kant Pharmaceutical". Edwin explained.
Maxwell was confused. "Our cash flow is healthy. The KB projects we won are all model cases. I don't think there is any issue. As for the targeted drugs... Exploring innovative drugs won hurt Kant Pharmaceutical. What really causes harm is resting on past achievements and refusing to move forward".
Edwin nodded at the other end.
"Edwin Nicolas". Maxwell called.
"Yes sir"
"First thing tomorrow,organize reports on our recent winning bids and bring them to my office. I'll handle the board". He ordered.
"Yes sir". Edwin replied.
Vee was still working on Ricky back inside the private corner. "Ricky, Maxwell isn't the only Alpha around".
Ricky ignored him and sipped his drink.
Vee brought out his phone. "Why don't you add me on social media? If you ever broke up with him,you can come find me"
Ricky frowned and eyed him. "Break up?"
"Yeah". Vee replied. "If that day ever comes. I'll be right here. Whatever Maxwell can give you I can too"
Ricky smirked. "You can't"
"You haven't asked me for anything. How do you know I can't?". Vee protested.
"Because I'm not breaking up with Mr Kant". Ricky replied nonchalantly.
"So sure of that?". Vee teased.
"Yeah. I only love Mr Kant". Ricky mused.
"But feelings change. You haven't known him that long. Life is short Ricky. Today you love him,tomorrow you might love me". Vee raised an eyebrow. "Maybe not tomorrow,maybe in three, four, five, ten years. Ricky,someone like you must have a lot of admirers. Its only a matter of time before your heart shifts. You don't have to answer me now. If you ever change your mind, think of me first".
"I won't change my mind". Ricky said with determination.
Vee sighed. "I didn't expect you to be quite the romantic. Fine, let's say you won't waver. But what about Maxwell? You haven't been with him that long. From what I know of him, he doesn't believe in forever. You too haven't even hit a year right? But this is already the longest relationship he's ever had"
Ricky rolled his eyes at Vee's discouragement.
