Not stopping to think, Princess Marina tapped the ore on her bracelet and her bracelet glowed white.
"Princess Marina." A guard said, rushing to stop her but Princess Marina slipped past him and began to run with Lorraine hot on her heels.
Not wanting to lose the kidnapper, Princess Marina brought out three smooth balls and threw them at the kidnappers on top of the rooftop.
Chuckling the kidnapper that was blessed by the wind, tried to deflect the balls but once the wind touched the balls, spikes shot out of them and the two kidnappers wailed in pain.
Thinking of how she could get onto the rooftop, Princess Marina ran to a stack of blocks next to an unfinished building and used the blocks as a ramp and the second she was in the air she used a bit of the wind to propel her to the roof. Lorraine, seeing princess Marina jump, stamped her feet and a tree sprang out from beneath her feet and levitated her to the roof.
Landing on the rooftop, Princess Marina and Lorraine glared at the kidnappers who wore black clothing, long black clocks and covered half their faces.
"Let him go." Princess Marina said with a fierce look and the kidnappers scowled.
"You better do yourself some good and back off." A man said as he came closer.
"We were ordered to kidnap this one but no one said anything about leaving a pesky mouse like you." The man said, stepping closer to Princess Marina.
Suddenly stepping forward, Lorraine fixed the man with a stare and the temperature on the rooftop dropped to 0°c. Shivering because he didn't know how a child could have so much blood lust, the kidnapper looked at Lorraine with fear.
"I would advise-" Lorraine said with a smile that showed her fang like teeth.
"You to be careful of what you say." Lorraine said with a menacing expression.
Buckling under the pressure of her stare, the kidnapper that held Aldric in the air, lost concentration and suddenly dropped him.
Forgetting that Lorraine can conjure up a bed of roses to cover the concrete floor, Princess Marina dived off the roof to catch Aldric.
Flashback.
"Princess Estania!" screamed a little girl.
"Princess Estania!" the little girl said as she ran into Estania's arms.
"The Malovian soldiers have taken my little brother." The girl said as he cried in Estania's arms.
"What about your parents?" Princess Estania asked urgently.
"They went out and-" the girl said, heaving.
"I don't know." the little girl said in panic.
"It's okay." Princess Estania said as she soothed the little girl.
"Just go inside." Princess Estania said, shifting aside to let the girl into the safe house.
"I will go get your-" Princess Estania said only to be stopped by another child who grabbed her pant leg.
"Please don't go Luna." the little girl said and others in the safe house voiced their agreement.
"You are our only successor." said an elderly woman.
"We can't lose you." another woman said as they all looked at her pleadingly.
Looking from the little girl to the pleading looks of everyone in the safe house, Princess Estania could only hold the girl close as she whispered "The soldiers would rescue him, you'll see."
Hours later, a knock in the pattern of a code sounded on the safe house door. Knowing that it was safe now, people flocked out of the safe house to find their family or siblings. Walking to the soldier who knocked, Princess Estania asked "How did the war go?"
"We got help from Evero." the soldier said and just then the cries of the little girl who asked Princess Estania to save her brother sounded in the quiet night air.
Turning around to the sound, Princess Estania saw the little girl wailing, with her dead little brother in her arms.
Flashback end
"Princess Marina!" Lorraine yelled and the kidnapper who was blessed by the earth took it as a chance to trap Lorraine with the vines from the very tree she created.
Not knowing what was happening behind her, Princess Marina collided with Aldric and began to cut the vines around him with her pocket knife.
Grinning at Lorraine's pathetic state, the kidnapper who was blessed by the wind, turned the wind into a spear and aimed it at Princess Marina.
Aldric, seeing the attack, tried to turn Princess Marina away from the wind spear but Princess Marina didn't budge.
"It will heal." Princess Marina promised Aldric but Aldric yelled and instead of a scream coming out, a burst of wind flowed out of his mouth.
