Stretching her hands high above her head, Princess Marina suddenly stopped and placed her palms on her side. Feeling no pain or discomfort as she pruded her side, Princess Marina came to one conclusion.
"The medicine in Alvonia is quite great" Princess Marina thought as she hummed.
Getting up from her bed to stretch better, Princess Marina was startled when her doors burst open and numerous maids flocked in. At the forefront of the maids was Estile, with her daughter, Lorraine beside her.
Smiling at Princess Marina's tan complexion, Estile said "It's nice to see you strong and healthy again Princess." with a bow of her head.
Moving her head to signal Lorraine to run the bath, Estile led Princess Marina to a chair to untangle the knots that formed when she was asleep.
After her hair had been detangled, Princess Marina went through the proper motions for a bath before requesting for it to be drained and filled with water for a soak. Stepping into the hot water that had been filled with rose petals and soothing oils, Princess Marina hummed as memories from the hunt flooded her mind.
Flashback
"Princess Marina!" yelled a desperate voice.
"Who is that?" Princess Marina thought as she heard the voice scream for her.
"Princess Marina!" the boy yelled in a more desperate tone and the voice became clearer.
"Aldric?" Princess Marina thought before her barrier exploded.
Putting up a flimsy wind barrier in an instant to protect herself after her barrier shattered, Princess Marina's only thought was "Why does he always see me at my worst?"
Flashback end
Stepping out of the bath in her light pink robe that Esmeralda has bought her because she claimed she needed a bit of color in her life, Princess Marina's hair was dropped down from its bun and combed once again before being dressed for breakfast.
Twenty minutes later
Walking out of the dining room with a high bun with some hair left out to frame her face, a dark green blazer with golden designs buttoned on top of a white shirt that was puffy at the collar and wrist with dark green jeans and her dark green tool belt on her waist, Princess Marina looked at the bowed heads of her maids and Lorraine.
Sensing no movement at the door of the dining room for quite some time, Lorraine moved closer to Princess Marina and said "The carriage is ready to take you to your entrance exam."
Nodding her head once, Princess Marina proceeded to the carriage with Lorraine on her heels.
As the scenery changed, Princess Marina took in a deep breath as she envisioned what the test for the Academy would be. Opening her eyes as her carriage was slowing down, Princess Marina deduced that the most important part of the test would be the capacity to refine an ore.
People blessed by fire have the ability to make anything from sound proofed rooms born out of incomplete cubes, to making heated stones, jewelry, artifacts, figurines that dance and inventions that aid everyday life and professions.
Coming down from her carriage, Princess Marina paid no mind to her surroundings as she moved to stand before the stairs leading to the test area.
"Is that Princess Marina?" a boy with dark red hair, Princess Marina's age whispered to his friend.
"Dark green hair." a girl with bright blonde hair whispered in reference to Princess Marina's appearance.
"And dark green eyes that almost look black." another girl with dark pink hair whispered as they craned their necks to catch a glance at her.
"Without a doubt that's Princess Marina!" a boy with buzzed black hair whispered as he pointed in Princess Marina's position.
"Did you hear that she scored a whooping total of forty four points?" a girl with neon green hair whispered to her friend excitedly, five meters from Princess Marina.
"Her score was higher than the score of last year and the year before last." replied the neon green haired's friend as they both jumped in glee.
Before the whisperings involving Princess Marina could get any louder, a tall, young looking man in red with long white hair and light green eyes appeared at the top of the stairs overlooking the students.
"Welcome to the academy entrance exam for those blessed by the spirit of fire." the tall, young looking man said and everyone quieted down immediately.
"Like the rest of the academy entrance exams across the empire, only a handful of you will be chosen to be in the practical class while the rest who show promise can be either kept in the theory class to be moved back to the practical class or moved to the academy trade schools." said the man with long white hair and light green eyes.
"This test decides how your life goes for the next eight years so I want you all to take it seriously." said the man with long white hair and light green eyes in a serious tone
"In five seconds the first test will commence." the tall young looking man said calmly and lights shot up to show the number 5.
"The Academy wishes you all the best." said man with white hair and green eyes as the doors behind him swung open.
