Mei shook her head.

Liliana said,
"No one feels unhappy about receiving a gift. I'm sure your friend doesn't either. Maybe you can give him something else in return something that isn't bought with money?"
Mei instantly perked up.

Liliana took a sip of water, then said, "For example, a small handmade decoration, or homemade chocolate, or a homemade cake. How about a cake?"
Mei thought for a moment.
