Mei and Otis washed up, had breakfast, then headed to the venue. By seven thirty in the morning, a long line had already formed outside the doujinshi exhibition. Compared to Otis, Mei was much more of a homebody. At her core, she was a true hikikomori.
The two of them held hands while they queued. Inside the hall it was even hotter than they had imagined. Today, Mei was carrying a small white crossbody bag. And, rarely seen, there was a flame and fighting spirit burning in her eyes.
In her hand was an A4 sheet, with all the doujinshi circles and her shopping list neatly written down. Today, she was here for one reason only: to buy things.
Mei looked at everything written on the paper, this author's doujinshi, that artist's sketch book. Oh no, there was absolutely not enough time.
Otis looked at her plan.
