Mei spoke as she slapped the table and stood up, her eyes red as she glared at Otis.
"Idiot, idiot, idiot!"
"Jerk!!!"
She leaned forward, her short hair swinging with the movement of her upper body, her voice echoing through the living room. Mei's hands slowly clenched into fists, her heart aching so badly it hurt to breathe.
She drew another red card, her eyes brimming with tears as she looked at Otis.
"Tell me, compared to being cursed out for no reason by some stranger, which hurts me more, having the guy I like break his promise, or being insulted?"
Otis took a deep breath, then let it out.
"The latter."
Mei set down the blank red card on the table, then pulled out a new one.
"Right, then let me ask you this, when the guy I like gets hurt, do I feel heartbroken?"
