POWER SYSTEM GUIDE — The Sigiled Path

What Is a Sigil

A Sigil is a mark burned into the soul when a person awakens.

All Sigils fall under Aspects, which determine ability type.

Common Aspects

Body: Strength, speed, durability, physical enhancements

Mind: Perception, illusions, mental amplification

Elemental: Fire, lightning, shadow, frost

Utility: Support abilities like stealth, sound control, movement

Hybrid: Rare fusions of two aspects

Sigil Grades (Public Knowledge)

Ranks measure a Sigil's potential and strength:

Grey — Lowest rank, basic abilities

Slate — Solid beginners

Iron — Skilled users

Chrome — Strong elites

Obsidian — Academy instructors, war generals

Mythral — Rumored; tied to ancient wars

Unknown — No records; considered impossible

Growth: "Channel Expansion"

Users grow their Sigils through:

Battle

Absorbing monster cores

Exposure to Calamity Veins

Archive approval

Special chitin, metals, and relics found in grids

The Archive tracks all progress, sometimes silently influencing outcomes.

Forbidden: "Bound Aspects"

Unknown to the world, there exist Bound Sigils — abilities sealed behind false layers, impossible to classify.

They:

Hide their true rank

Feed on emotion, logic, or primal drives

Warp Sigil channels with each activation

Grow by consuming other energies

Our MC possesses one.

🕸️ Example: Veilbound Sigil (MC's Sigil)

Aspect: Utility (outer layer) / ??? (true core)

Apparent Grade: Grey

True Grade: Unknown

Abilities:

Outer Layer (What the World Sees)

Dampens sound

Hides presence

Makes actions harder to notice

Creates "blind spots" in enemy perception

Inner Layer (What the World Doesn't Know Yet)

Devours hostile energy

Converts venom/attacks into strength

Whispers cold logic

Grows darker the more the MC suppresses feelings

Reacts to death, fear, manipulation, and control

This dual nature is what allows the MC to slowly become evil.
